  Yes that's right, although strictly that you should say server/connection security as if you use a security server, then this is endpoint of the tunnel rather than the CS.

  VMware view installs inside a server operating system and he can definitley be installed inside a server running on top of vSphere.

  Have a problem with wyse v10L (WTS 6.4.0) and connection to our server vmview4.

  I get connection vmview box coming, with guests for the user name and password, but no matter what values, I put in that I get a 'network IO error.

  I can ping our server to display.

  All connections must use RDP and PCoIP

  It's one I use here with a few V10L, we do not however Certs:

  AutoLoad = 2

  DesktopColorDepth = 32

  DomainList = with your site-specific information). Also check the the event log for errors Wyse?

• DST and vmware view = weird questions

  This is the 3rd time that when the time comes or goes we get questions of kind of weird in our very frequent floating pools, VMs stuck in starting up, wait for connection etc.

  If you look at the log below you will see that the virtual machine has been one hour before, and then she came back at the right time.

  I was on the phone with VMware for 5 hours Tuesday last with this same problem.  I ended up solving the problem without their help.  You must initialize your model, let the time updated, shut it down, take a new snapshot and recompose your pool.

  Hi, can someone please tell me their experience with Unidesk? We are planning to test it, but I was wondering what other users have to say about it. What are the pros and cons in your opinion on the use of unidesk with VMware View?

  While you're good at using a floating pool, so remove the value from the user customization layer, you still earn many benefits.

  1. you get always keep exactly 1 gold image of the operating system.

  2. you always deploy the applications in the form of layers.

  3. you still get storage savings.

  I would like to add a fourth: the machines date back to default when to disconnect users.   In any pool of floating type, you will have some sort of data instead of roaming solution.   Gone perhaps roaming profiles and folder redirection of strictly MS background, or a solution that either, so there is no loss of functionality as the users are concerned.   As someone who has 15 years of dealing with those terminal services and support model office, let me tell you that I would've liked nothing more than a system that will automatically return to the original state at each reboot.

  I have a floating pool on "VMs Unidesk" I use for purposes of remote access for all and for our standard users in the office.   I have all basic applications we use loaded in it.   I use the folder redirection to send Documents, the desktop, Favorites and more downloads to our storage system, then have MS profiles configured for an ORGANIZATIONAL unit containing these roving machines.   AppData is basically all that is stored on the sharing profile, so user logons are super fast.   I even turned on Microsoft EU - V, which is so smooth, I just laugh whenever I see it working (essentially saved application configs in repository as XML files and pulls / pushes them back when applications are open, closed, etc..)   UE - V lets my PC full users to have their applications, such as their desktop themes settings or something else, fill in the VDI environment automatically, which gives a more consistent experience across devices.

  In any case, don't throw all this just because you won't get the layer customization user on floating pools.   There's always a ton of advantages with it...

  Exactly THAT PCOIP do not work on the Security server.  If your using VPN and connect to a broker internal conection it should work good as new NAT could shake things.    Should be a simple test however.

• Poor single threaded with Sandy Bridge-EP and VMWare performance?

  We have just added a new server Dell R620 to our Cluster and noticed that the Passmark benchmarking tool reports a very bad single threaded performance compared to our old host PowerEdge 1950. The tool of the pass mark was executed in a vCPU 2 MS Server 2008 R2 VM, which was simply vmotioned between two hosts to perform forward and after the test. Guests have x 5460 Procs and the new host r.620 E5-2670 procs. Compared to the other as the benchmark for our-results x 5460"passmark corresponds quite closely but the"our-results E5-2670 "does not work." What could be going on here? Why the E5-2670 seems to hurt so much with single thread calculations in my environment? Still clearly better than the X 5460 in landmarks on the other (probably not VMWare)?

  See the attachment for the results. Yet once again, I am especially concerned by the distinguished threaded tests since it is the only losses significantly in the proc X 5460 a bit old in our environment.

  A couple of scattered thoughts...

  You have the latest version of the Dell BIOS for the r.620 (version 1.3.6)?  Have you tried to erase the NVRAM (i.e. installation by default in the BIOS loading)?

  I have not personally, but there are a lot of messages in the ESX (VDI) forums on the use of adapters USB-over-IP for USB dongles license.  (ESX does support USB at all, hence the need for an adapter USB over IP.)  There was a post asking about the use of the adapter to a USB hard drive.  But since the passage of data of dongles is not a concern, there was a definitive answer as to how it would work for a hard drive.  But a scanner can be a feature of pretty low anyway.

  The problem is the price.  From $ 300.  The most often suggested model is by DigiAnywhereUSB.

• With both internal customers and external view of the Horizon, I do * have * to have at least a connection to the server by type of connection?

  If I want both external and non - VPN and LAN users internal to access desktops from view, I need to have a connection to the server dedicated to external users and another for internal? Right now I have one pair of Security Server-connection to the server and external connections work fine, but the internal connections are not. I have to get up at least a connection replication server and change the URL HTTPS Secure Tunnel for internal users only?

  Apparently, you don't need a connection to the server dedicated to internal users if you also external users and a security server. I found this during my troubleshooting. The URL of security server will be configured as administrator mode that external URL can be resolved and accessible while the URL to connect to the server will be configured with a URL can be resolved internally and is accessible in administrator mode.

• I have problems with the radio buttons and prompting to show/hide fields.

  There are chances that you can rename the fields so that they are more easily treated when you use a script? For example, if you have added a prefix such as "g1". (meaning group1) so that the domain names were like:

  G1.text57, g1.dropdown58, g1.text59, etc., the declaration if code could be simplified a little:

  This is called hierarchical domain naming, and it is easy to control large groups of fields. If you don't do it consistently name fields so that they are easier to reference in a loop, (e.g., text57, text58, text59,..., text110), then you will need to use a single statement for each field that you want to control, complicating the code and makes it more difficult to maintain.

  In general, we do not see a lot of native discussion here, so maybe this isn't the best place for this post.   You can try this http://communities.vmware.com/people/AdamG53 guy has sent a private message because he used to work for the natives.   I have not seen him active lately, so I don't know if it meets or not.

• Samsung NC-240 - Windows 7 with VMware View connection problem

  My Samsung NC-240 is set to connect to my server VMware View Connection Manager. I can connect to one of my Windows XP via PCoIP or RDP virtual desktop very well, but I can't connect to my virtual Windows 7 desktop. Whenever I try to connect, it will be wrong and tell them "Session Lost!"

  Research in the NC-240 event log, I see the following:
