Poor sound quality - Dell Inspiron 15 77537

Hi all

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7537 i7-4510U, 16.6 "Touch. It had Windows 8.1 in it.

It works great so far, aside from a BIG problem - the quality of audio playback is terrible.

When I try to listen to music, I mean hardly any lower-end (or bass). I tried different equipment different buffering - my Sony stereo, as well as, the Beats Pro - the two dissapointing headphones gave results. For example, the same file played on my iPod sounds a LOT better that it does on my new Dell Inspiron. It is similarly for the same YouTube video playback on another computer using the same headset. It seems that all the other equipment (a laptop, iPod, iPhone) all seem the same and much better my Inspiron.

The audio drivers are up to date (they were automatically selected depending on my model on dell.com). I also tried to change the equalizers on Realtek sound card settings. I noticed the difference, but all the options always leads to a much lower sound quality older compared to my laptop (which I'm sure that has default settings, that I never had no problem with the audio quality).

Anyone have an idea how I can solve the problem? I heard that Windows 8.1 on some laptops may have some problems with its low-end, would this be the case? My most old laptop also uses Windows 8.1, just as the PC fixed, so I doubt it personally. Is it possible that this could be a manufacturing fault in the sound card?

Any ideas how I can fix the sound quality are very popular.

Kind regards
Marius

P.S. This is my first post here, so please be nice haha. Thank you!

Hello. Try changing to the native Windows audio driver:

1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
8. click on "next".
9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

Is there still no bass then it could be a hardware problem, and for this you need to contact technical support. Make sure that the EQ in your music player (such as Windows Media Player) is set to normal. Also when comparing to other devices playback, all their eq and other improvements should be on flat, trying to compare apples with apples as much as possible.

  • Windows 7 - audio system sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Soundcard Question. Issue of the audio recording. Poor sound quality from the speakers.

I connect on - the work of sound system very well.  Media player works fine.  The next time I log on - no sound system.  Everything is plugged, convenience store finds no problems, Media player goes through all the steps and looks that don't worry, still no sound.  I have download a fix for the VIA recommended by Dell Driver.  I did, and it still has the same problem.  I can close, reconnect, and then the sound will work.  Sometimes I have to close and log on twice in a row so he can launch.

Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?  I am working on a Dell Inspiron 546 AMD Athlon II x 2 215 2.70 GHz and 64-bit with 400 GB of RAM.  I installed Windows 7 but when I dug deeper into the service code for this machine which found at some point in time he had installed Vista.  This could be the same Vista to Windows 7 problem audio, everyone seems to have?  I bought this Staples announced new with Windows 7 as operating system.

I did research on all forums and responses and am unable to check if I have a "sound card".  I'm not used with the terminology so even if I follow the Microsoft instructions to find the right place to check and see, I do not understand what I see when I'm there.  It is said: ATI high definition Audio Device and VIA High Definition Audio.  Is this to say that I have a sound card or I should get it a?  If I buy a sound card will it fix my audio problem?

Even though I had my audio problem fixed, I was disappointed by the sound quality of the speakers on this new system up to date.  My speakers on my old computer (which lasted from Windows 98) were by far superior in sound quality.  I don't understand why they sound so crappy and barely louder, and when you show the to they have a rattle for them.  I tried plugging my old speakers on my new computer, but nothing happens.  My new speakers have a Plug and a USB port.  I don't know what is... why goal can not use my 'old'?

Finally, I want to record my vinyl on discs and need a great sound system.  Any advice?

I removed all the ATI Audio as suggested.  The result in the short term is that the audio quality is improved.  I no longer hear the "crackling" when the sound is turned on.  I'll answer more if the issue of audio (works) continues to be a problem because the fix.  If you don't hear from me, then please consider the problem solved and my thanks to you.

    Hello

recently, I bought used Replicator Toshiba Advanced Port PA3474E-1PRP, working nice, but the only problem is audio - output when connecting the speakers to the port replicator - speakers of the laptop still works + there is a significant loss in sound quality.

Everyone had the same problem, or maybe there's a sollution for this?

PS my laptop is Tecra A7-248

    Hello

To me that sounds like this, out on the port replicator doesn t port works properly if connect you directly to the computer laptop, everything works correctly, or can you notice any problems?

    Have you tested other speakers?

In this case I would recommend updating the sound card drivers and BIOS. The two you can download on the Toshiba site.

  • HP Envy 15 t (G0T59AV): HP Envy laptop speaker poor sound quality (particularly acute) as the volume increases.

I had been without my HP Envy laptop a few weeks after he bricked on me and I had to send in for repair, and when I came back the sound quality seems to be noticeably worse than what I remember. The sound in general seems a little intestine initially, and it does not handle certain tones fine treble, producing shrill notes that almost seem like they're clipping or something, as if it's too much for the speaker to manage. The volume level refers to it - it's much worse at higher volumes, but its volumes, it should be able to manage, and has dealt in the past. 30 is basically normal, I'll hear parts of it start happening about 40 volume or so, 60 sounds evil, and 80 is almost inaudible.

My first suspect is the dustbin of Beats Audio with what they sent this thing.  He gave me problems before. I fiddled with the Beats Audio settings for a bit and couldn't find a lot of luck. The strange thing is, I searched Beats Audio driver updates, and I came to the top completely empty. All links to them were either broken, be directed to the page of HP support containing the drivers for the specific device model questioned. The driver for my laptop page shows nothing about the drivers of beats. And my device manager doesn't seem to show that no driver present Beats, either, even though I SWEAR there drivers for them in the past. The only present audio device is the Realtek HD Audio driver. The Beats Audio utility in the taskbar does not seem to think there is something wrong, however, so I don't know what's the case. Can someone help me?

(I know of no reason that the question I sent my laptop in for repair would be linked to this, nor do I have any reason to believe that the person who repaired the laptop could have done anything, as all my files on my HDD seem to have been completely intact, but just for the sake of rigour : A couple of weeks, apparently caused by me accidentally stick a 3.5 mm headphone jack into the adjacent USB and damaged brick my laptop. The computer, stop immediately, if she was able to start right back up. The next morning, it was completely insensitive and would not start until it was. I knew with certainty that it is the USB at the time, I thought that it was unlikely that a damaged USB port might cause a full brick computer, but when I got back from repair, the repair summary said that the only thing to do for she was replacing a USB port.  Other than the good question, my computer was working perfectly since.)

    1. right click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your time.
    2. click on playback devices.
    3. click on the speakers.
    4. click on properties.
    5. click on the Advanced tab in the Properties window.
    6. change the default menu Format in the highest quality.
    7. apply properties.
    8. click OK to close the Properties window. Reboot the laptop and test the sound.

You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

  • Satellite C660-1 p 3 - poor sound quality

    Hello.

I bought this phone today and I'm so confused.
    The sound quality is MEDIUM-low.

No bass, no color just a little of his dish.
Even a simple cell phone got its best, then my laptop doesn't.

Where is the so-called "Toshiba Bass enhanced system"?

Can someone help me? I tried to figure this out for a few hours and I have nothing.
I have re-installed drivers etc and still nothing.

Advice or tips would be appreciated.

    Help!
    Thanks in advance!

I agree with Akuma. You should not expect too much. The C series is not a multimedia notebook that would be more costly.
I recommend using external speakers, I also use external speakers it s good option to get better sound quality!

I have already installed KB888111 but without a positive result.

    KB888111
    Display driver
    Driver Chipset
    LAN driver
    W - lan driver
    Audio driver

Someone at - it an idea to solve my problem?

    Hello

I have the Satellite Pro P300 (PSPCDE) with the same sound card. Satellite and Satellite Pro have exactly the same configuration material just my Satellite Pro comes with Vista Business and your probably one with Vista Home Premium.

With this machine of the company, I also have Windows XP Home edition recovery DVDs. I tested with my laptop and with original sound Toshiba recovery image works well. I noticed that this recovery image has Windows XP Home with Service Pack 3.

So the question is why your own installation ends with this noise problem.
You have the option to install Windows XP SP3 home edition on your laptop satellite?

  • Satellite P300 - poor sound quality using the Dynadock

I have a laptop Satellite P300, Vista and a * Dynadock VBI * port replicator.
Except for the audio part of the dynadock works very well.
I can edit on 2 screens.

However, the sound is horrible. You can hear only fragments distorted healthy eating and a white noise.
It takes the dynadock software, because the sound on the laptop is OK and if I connect speakers (Logitech) directly to the laptop, there is no distortion.

I already downloaded the latest drivers from Toshiba, removed the old software and reinstalled with the new drivers.
Technical support from Toshiba didn't have an answer.

    One of do you?

    Cordially Frac

Perhaps there is a ground loop?

If you remove the power supply of the laptop so its just running on battery, still doing?

  • Yoga 10 - Very poor Bluetooth sound quality

    Hello

I bought roughly the new Yoga 10 Tablet. Now, I wanted to use it with headphones and bluetooth speakers and noticed that the sound quality is quite poor. As the treble's strange artifacts in it. Pretty hard to explain but the sound is very audible lower both helmet and taken my old Tablet even to untrained ears. It's kind of compareable to a low bitrate MP3, although not quite difficult to explain.

So far, I've tried connecting the load from JBL, Bose Soundlink Mini and a bluetooth headset from noname to the Yoga 10 Tablet and * ALL * have poor sound quality.

Now the funny thing. When I connect audio devices bluetooth mentioned to my old Tablet (Lifetab E10310) or my phone (Galaxy Nexus) is by one of my windows device, there isn't * no. * problem with the sound quality. Yes I know bluetooth audio is compressed, but given the 10 Yoga produces its largely inferior to other devices the problem is clearly the tablet of Yoga of course from the same material. No difference if high sound quality on the map microSD or spotify.

It is pretty much useless for listening to music via bluetooth.

    All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Ok. Returned Tablet - problem solved. Sort of.

I deffinately need an Android based Tablet, but it seems so difficult to find a good. I did not have high hardware demands and that Yoga 10 seems to do the trick and it was affordable too. However, it's a software has been total failure and I didn't want to exceed my return period to see if it matches Lenovo to solve problems. So now the hunt of another brand, but seems difficult. All have a major fault one way or another and if nothing else then on the battery life. Well. May be another couple of months with my Junk old Tablet and then the market will freeze. There was a glaring lack of introduction of beautiful tablets without major flaws for like a year or more (GPS might not be necessary, but a lot of apps that really just use google locationservice scored misunderstandably GPS as required, and as such it will install these apps via played googple - bad luck).
