Satellite P300 - 1FC - poor sound quality using Win XP

I use a portable Satellite p300 - 1FC. Vista was preinstalled.
I uninstalled Vista and installed Windows XP SP2.

Everything works fine, but I have a problem with the map on the sound card.

The sound card is made by Conexant.
The sound quality on win XP from Vista is bad relay.

I have already installed KB888111 but without a positive result.

I installed my system include:

Win Xp SP2
KB888111
Display driver
Driver Chipset
LAN driver
W - lan driver
Audio driver

Someone at - it an idea to solve my problem?

Hello

I have the Satellite Pro P300 (PSPCDE) with the same sound card. Satellite and Satellite Pro have exactly the same configuration material just my Satellite Pro comes with Vista Business and your probably one with Vista Home Premium.

With this machine of the company, I also have Windows XP Home edition recovery DVDs. I tested with my laptop and with original sound Toshiba recovery image works well. I noticed that this recovery image has Windows XP Home with Service Pack 3.

So the question is why your own installation ends with this noise problem.
You have the option to install Windows XP SP3 home edition on your laptop satellite?

    Hello.

I bought this phone today and I'm so confused.
    The sound quality is MEDIUM-low.

No bass, no color just a little of his dish.
Even a simple cell phone got its best, then my laptop doesn't.

Where is the so-called "Toshiba Bass enhanced system"?

I agree with Akuma. You should not expect too much. The C series is not a multimedia notebook that would be more costly.
I recommend using external speakers, I also use external speakers it s good option to get better sound quality!

  • Satellite C50-A-1 - sound quality is not good

I don't know if I'm going crazy, but I recently did my laptop system restore (apply all updates of Windows) and the sound (with headphones) seems not as good. Particularly serious and to some extent, the highs are poor and I have a sort of 'mid range' non-descript sound quality.

I checked that I was improving on DTS and checked, I got the latest driver from Toshiba has approved for the Realtek HD Sound. The only other thing I thought was the driver on the site from Realtek but suggesting that it's just a generic, and I wonder if it would be kind of a downgrade?

In any case, would appreciate any thoughts.

I have S50 Satellite - B and internal speakers are not so good and I m not satisfied with the sound, but this model is that the stereo speakers. But using his s helmet really not that bad especially after activation surround and low thrust option in DTS settings.

Check also for the advanced options where you can change for the voice, the bass and treble levels. On the right side is also Equalizer so you can change all the settings and if all goes well set out for your headphone sound.

I have seen working on Satellite U300 WXP and well I used Skype. The sound quality wasn't the best but it works.

Somewhere on this forum I found info on Microsoft KB888111 and KB835221 patches. This should help not working sound on Windows XP Home edition. Please check it out.

    Hello

To me that sounds like this, out on the port replicator doesn t port works properly if connect you directly to the computer laptop, everything works correctly, or can you notice any problems?

    Have you tested other speakers?

In this case I would recommend updating the sound card drivers and BIOS. The two you can download on the Toshiba site.

  • HP Envy 15 t (G0T59AV): HP Envy laptop speaker poor sound quality (particularly acute) as the volume increases.

I had been without my HP Envy laptop a few weeks after he bricked on me and I had to send in for repair, and when I came back the sound quality seems to be noticeably worse than what I remember. The sound in general seems a little intestine initially, and it does not handle certain tones fine treble, producing shrill notes that almost seem like they're clipping or something, as if it's too much for the speaker to manage. The volume level refers to it - it's much worse at higher volumes, but its volumes, it should be able to manage, and has dealt in the past. 30 is basically normal, I'll hear parts of it start happening about 40 volume or so, 60 sounds evil, and 80 is almost inaudible.

My first suspect is the dustbin of Beats Audio with what they sent this thing.  He gave me problems before. I fiddled with the Beats Audio settings for a bit and couldn't find a lot of luck. The strange thing is, I searched Beats Audio driver updates, and I came to the top completely empty. All links to them were either broken, be directed to the page of HP support containing the drivers for the specific device model questioned. The driver for my laptop page shows nothing about the drivers of beats. And my device manager doesn't seem to show that no driver present Beats, either, even though I SWEAR there drivers for them in the past. The only present audio device is the Realtek HD Audio driver. The Beats Audio utility in the taskbar does not seem to think there is something wrong, however, so I don't know what's the case. Can someone help me?

(I know of no reason that the question I sent my laptop in for repair would be linked to this, nor do I have any reason to believe that the person who repaired the laptop could have done anything, as all my files on my HDD seem to have been completely intact, but just for the sake of rigour : A couple of weeks, apparently caused by me accidentally stick a 3.5 mm headphone jack into the adjacent USB and damaged brick my laptop. The computer, stop immediately, if she was able to start right back up. The next morning, it was completely insensitive and would not start until it was. I knew with certainty that it is the USB at the time, I thought that it was unlikely that a damaged USB port might cause a full brick computer, but when I got back from repair, the repair summary said that the only thing to do for she was replacing a USB port.  Other than the good question, my computer was working perfectly since.)

    Hello

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question on your HP ENVY 15 t-k100 Notebook and problems with sound not working not properly. You can try-

    1. right click the speaker icon in the lower right corner of your time.
    2. click on playback devices.
    3. click on the speakers.
    4. click on properties.
    5. click on the Advanced tab in the Properties window.
    6. change the default menu Format in the highest quality.
    7. apply properties.
    8. click OK to close the Properties window. Reboot the laptop and test the sound.

You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

Here is a link to a Microsoft fix for Windows 10, that might help.

Please let me know how it goes.

  • Satellite P300 - 21 k - how to use the mouse Toshiba BT wireless

    Hello

I have a new Toshiba blue tooth wireless mouse and I tried to make it work with my Satellite P300 - 21 k, with a Bluetooth dongle.
But the mouse does not work, help please.

I'm not very good with technology is if there is a guide step by step to set it up with the dongle.

    Thank you
    Mike

    Hello

I think it is not very complicated to install and configure this mouse.

Simply activate the BT on your P300 using the FN + F8 key combination.
This combination FN active WLan too so don't forget that you have chosen BT!

I don't know if you have to choose new BT connection such as the use of a BT keyboard or a mobile phone, but first try without creating a new connection perhaps the mouse will be recognized automatically m.

Here, on this Toshiba BT portal, you will find also some details about BT:

  • Satellite P300-1GK - I can't use the S-video port

    Hello

According to the specifications of the laptop, I have a S-Video output. The problem is that there is something just in front. So I can't use it. Check the picture.

    http://img220.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1010027s.jpg

    How can I do?

    Hello

Seems the specifications listed on the page are not entirely correct.
Satellite P300-1GK supports TV-out but NOT s-video and Composite port!

In addition, HDMI port output is available to connect the laptop to an LCD HDTV.
But some other models support the s-video and that's why you can see a place for s-video port in the lid of the laptop

    I hope I could bring a precision!

    Good bye

  • Satellite P200 - 1FC: no sound after system update

Yesterday my laptop did an update of the system for Windows and when I restarted the computer, my speakers did not work, my ATI graphics card was not found and that the reader has stopped working.

I don't know what happened, but I don't think that the update installed correctly.
I had a similar problem on my old laptop with XP and I due simpy reinstalling the update.

For some reason I can't do this on my current.

    I use a SATELLITE P200 - 1FC.

Is now SP1 for Vista installed?

I ask this question because I got message on Vista updates and SP1 was who listed there. I'm afraid, it can have a negative influence on the good OS and I'm quite skeptical about it. For now, Toshiba does not support Vista with SP1.

  • Poor sound quality - Dell Inspiron 15 77537

    Hi all

    I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7537 i7-4510U, 16.6 "Touch. It had Windows 8.1 in it.

It works great so far, aside from a BIG problem - the quality of audio playback is terrible.

When I try to listen to music, I mean hardly any lower-end (or bass). I tried different equipment different buffering - my Sony stereo, as well as, the Beats Pro - the two dissapointing headphones gave results. For example, the same file played on my iPod sounds a LOT better that it does on my new Dell Inspiron. It is similarly for the same YouTube video playback on another computer using the same headset. It seems that all the other equipment (a laptop, iPod, iPhone) all seem the same and much better my Inspiron.

The audio drivers are up to date (they were automatically selected depending on my model on dell.com). I also tried to change the equalizers on Realtek sound card settings. I noticed the difference, but all the options always leads to a much lower sound quality older compared to my laptop (which I'm sure that has default settings, that I never had no problem with the audio quality).

Anyone have an idea how I can solve the problem? I heard that Windows 8.1 on some laptops may have some problems with its low-end, would this be the case? My most old laptop also uses Windows 8.1, just as the PC fixed, so I doubt it personally. Is it possible that this could be a manufacturing fault in the sound card?

Any ideas how I can fix the sound quality are very popular.

    Kind regards
    Marius

P.S. This is my first post here, so please be nice haha. Thank you!

Hello. Try changing to the native Windows audio driver:

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

Is there still no bass then it could be a hardware problem, and for this you need to contact technical support. Make sure that the EQ in your music player (such as Windows Media Player) is set to normal. Also when comparing to other devices playback, all their eq and other improvements should be on flat, trying to compare apples with apples as much as possible.

  • Windows 7 - audio system sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Soundcard Question. Issue of the audio recording. Poor sound quality from the speakers.

I connect on - the work of sound system very well.  Media player works fine.  The next time I log on - no sound system.  Everything is plugged, convenience store finds no problems, Media player goes through all the steps and looks that don't worry, still no sound.  I have download a fix for the VIA recommended by Dell Driver.  I did, and it still has the same problem.  I can close, reconnect, and then the sound will work.  Sometimes I have to close and log on twice in a row so he can launch.

Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this problem?  I am working on a Dell Inspiron 546 AMD Athlon II x 2 215 2.70 GHz and 64-bit with 400 GB of RAM.  I installed Windows 7 but when I dug deeper into the service code for this machine which found at some point in time he had installed Vista.  This could be the same Vista to Windows 7 problem audio, everyone seems to have?  I bought this Staples announced new with Windows 7 as operating system.

I did research on all forums and responses and am unable to check if I have a "sound card".  I'm not used with the terminology so even if I follow the Microsoft instructions to find the right place to check and see, I do not understand what I see when I'm there.  It is said: ATI high definition Audio Device and VIA High Definition Audio.  Is this to say that I have a sound card or I should get it a?  If I buy a sound card will it fix my audio problem?

Even though I had my audio problem fixed, I was disappointed by the sound quality of the speakers on this new system up to date.  My speakers on my old computer (which lasted from Windows 98) were by far superior in sound quality.  I don't understand why they sound so crappy and barely louder, and when you show the to they have a rattle for them.  I tried plugging my old speakers on my new computer, but nothing happens.  My new speakers have a Plug and a USB port.  I don't know what is... why goal can not use my 'old'?

Finally, I want to record my vinyl on discs and need a great sound system.  Any advice?

I removed all the ATI Audio as suggested.  The result in the short term is that the audio quality is improved.  I no longer hear the "crackling" when the sound is turned on.  I'll answer more if the issue of audio (works) continues to be a problem because the fix.  If you don't hear from me, then please consider the problem solved and my thanks to you.
