POP account has stopped receiving

My POP email account stopped receiving messages after an upgrade of the server. Sending works fine. I had another account on that server that also has ceased to receive messages (send also worked well) and I had to delete the account and start again, which fixed the problem, but this second account has thousands of messages to 50 files and I don't want to lose all the information, then how can I fix it without deleting the account?

    It could be a corruption of the database.  First, check that the account works via webmail.  Then, if it, then delete the account in WinMail (and make sure that you do not have antivirus e-mail scan value - see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3), and then compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/), and then add your account again and see if it works then.

  • Windows Live Mail has stopped receiving Hotmail 8 January

    No Hotmail E-mail came in my Windows Live Mail 2012 since January 7.  WLM has been updated with the Member States in difficulty in December.  I get no error message, just not Hotmail - it is as if it does not exist.  My gmail stuff normally works in WLM.

    Hotmail works normally using Outlook.com (I see all the stuff that should be there), but of course this will not deal with gmail.  I have Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

    We have another computer in the House with a similar setup, and it is delivered to Hotmail as always, using Windows Live Mail 2012.  I can't find any difference in the settings between the two compositions.  Thank you

    I have a Blackberry Curve 8300 and my ISP is earthlink.net. Everything works fine until today, when I stopped to receive e-mails on my Blackberry. I just checked, and I can send messages very well, of course, but do not receive them.

    Hmmm... I suggest a number of things. First of all, a restart:

    With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning.

  • I have 2 Gmail accounts that I use Thunderbird to work with. Suddenly, one of the accounts has stopped working (password requests).

    For a year I used without problem Thunderbird to work with two of my Gmail accounts without problems.
    I had been on a long trip for the last 2 weeks had not begun to Thunderbird. When I did it for the first time this morning, I couldn't work or another account with it.

    Reset, return all settings solved the problem for ONE of my accounts (the main!), but the other continues to refuse to work.
    Yes, I have IMAP and less secure device permissions enabled in the Gmail settings. I changed my passwords and their update on all ends and again, my main account works, but the other refuses to accept passwords, even though I know they are correct.

    I still get the "cannot connect to server imap.gmail.com ." Message and I am prompted for my password.

    No luck.

    Could someone help me novel?

    After digging around a few others, I finally managed to find the google site:

    There is a link on the bottom, saying: "allow access". Click on this one, 'continue' and directly there after prompt to synchronize Thunderbird. That solved the problem.

    Synchronize Thunderbird now until my two accounts again.

    TBird 24.2.1 stopped downloading email after a meeting with Bell Aliant to correct their records physical and my phone number and e-mail addresses. During the Exchange, they also checked my pop password and smtpa. I discovered that the password for the pop account has been misspelled and finds a solution of Mozilla Help which essentially necessary to remove the account from the list of accessible password by cmd / security/passwords / registered / show passwords passwords, by selecting the pop password and delete. The indications were going out of the window options, TBird and then restart TBird that would encourage the pop password, in which case the correct version could be provided.

    PROBLEM: TBird 24.2.1 don't ask the password so it can not be corrected. The above method only allows deletion of accounts with no changes or creation of one available. TBird is located just 2 minutes of or3 trying to access the account and then stops leaving one in with old email inbox.
    Please advise!

    If you do not get the password prompt, Thunderbird cannot connect to the server. In other words, you don't even not so far to be prompted for the password.
    Check with Bell Aliant that you do not have the correct server settings.

    Method 1:

    You can perform a scan SFC and check. To Perform a Scan SFC -

    a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
    A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
    c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
    d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
    e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.
