pop - up promo from Amazon is not blocked, why?

Naturally I blocker functional but there is a new and really, really boring "coupon" pop-up that is still on Amazon, but also on other sites. Close the window of the coupon and it appears whenever I browse to look at any product. It is really bad and dilapidated still offers everything the Amazon model does not already ('free delivery' above a certain expenses on some items, etc.). It has a distinctive green border and appears on other sites as well. How did get around your software? How can I make this stop?

Dear AnnaZed

I believe (not sure yet) that I know what the problem is (remedy). I was not able to get a new popup appears since I did the following:

I was running the Panda Cloud Antivirus free and apparently installed the 'free' at the outset Panda Security toolbar. I saw a post somewhere (maybe CNET) during my research time several that involved Panda anti-virus with ad sponsoring so I decided to "Uninstall" the Panda Security Toolbar for in my Control Panel Add/Remove (in Windows XP). On if the Panda antivirus program. So far, no more don't pop up ads! Fingers crossed (and will update this post if I'm wrong).

I would be grateful if you could confirm this (if you are using Panda Antivirus).

Apparently, Panda Antivirus is listed as supported by advertising (depending on the option to install the 'free' toolbar during initial installation). As far as I know, each of the pop-up ads is a legitimate company that has an affiliate program (Amazon is called Amazon Associates). I think that when you click on the "coupon", Panda gets credit for sales that result.

Please let me (and anyone else who finds this post!) know if this solves your problem.

Good luck!
