• Subforms hidden when the form is opened

  I'm having a problem with hidden subforms. I have subforms that are initially hidden and become visible when an item in a drop-down list is selected. When I save the form, and then reopen it, the subforms are hidden again. The only way to make it visible again must manually re - select the item in the drop-down list.

  I have the following script for them:

  Form1.SubFormPage1.information.Row5.DropDownList2::exit - (FormCalc, client)

  form1.SubFormPage1.Information.Row6::initialize - (FormCalc, client)
  Information.Row6.presence = 'hidden ';

  and

  If (DropDownList2.rawValue is "Operation of aircraft" or DropDownList2.rawValue == "Aircraft maintenance") then;

  I know that my problem is that I have 'hidden' initialization line, but when I did not have this line in the script, the subform is always visible.

  1. change of the presence of the subform is hidden. (always).

  2. during the initialization of the subform just check wheathere whether or not the required data are selected in the list box.

  3. If the value is selected, then it must be visible. otherwise, it must be hiddden.

  Add the code in theinitaialize in the subform something written in the list box.

• Make a narrow pop-up when the other is open.

  I'm working on an application that shows the extended parts of the text when you click on their smaller counterparts. The problem I have right now is that I need to do all the other open pop-ups close a new opening. I've considered adding an invisible box of the size of the stage to each clip, but that would be incredibly dirty, so I will try to avoid this solution. The app in its current state is here:

  13 is the current total number of mc. The rest are apparently just text at the moment, so if/when make them you in movieclips, change that 13 to be what it should be (basically more than the last mc number since they start at 0).

  I use Acrobat Pro XI.  I would like for a specific domain focus when the form is opened.  Is there a form parameter or the Javasprict that should be used?  Where add Javascript code so that's the direction I must go?  Thank you.

  Yes, it can be done using a script. Go to tools - JavaScript - Document JavaScripts and enter this code (adjust the name of the field as your file, of course):

  For me, this happened from disabling, but do not uninstall McAfee site Advisor. Recommend site completely uninstalled and the problem disappeared completely. I had turned off before site Advisor, but it seems after a update to McAfee, he was back and then turn it off again caused this problem.

  Go to "uninstall a program" or "add/remove programs" in control panel. Find McAfee in your list (McAfee total protection for me). Click it and then click "Uninstall/Change" (right there in XP, up above in Vista or 7). I don't remember exactly what you see after that, but at one screen I was given the choice to uninstall the McAfee total protection and/or the Site Adviser. You can just check the Site Adviser and just uninstall the Site Adviser while retaining the rest of the McAfee protection.

  My form has a section (subform) on top that is always open and then underneath it is dynamic and I want some subforms and sections to open based on users to input. I use action Builder to open the screen and have all the fields that are hidden, but I have too much subforms and must hide individually all subforms. Is there a code that allows you to hide all fields for me when the form opens, and then I can use action Builder to open just what I need based on a drop-down list button or radio?

  Using LockAllFields of Paul's example, you could place the JavaScript code within the root node docReady event (normally 'form1').

  Please note that the last line is the presence of one of the subforms to visible return. Let's call it ShowThisSubform.

  I must say that I am not convinced that by using the specified HTML it could succeed to set the file musical itself. He would probably play if the sender displayed to himself and he opened on his own computer, because the file is local (always assuming that its authorized e-mail client reading.)

  Note that Thunderbird will not particularly play music embedded in messages, so if someone you send to use Thunderbird, they don't hear it.

  It is one of the reasons why I use Thunderbird. Besides having always cut sound. It can be very annoying having noise suddenly pop out of your computer in the workplace.

  I have a form that allows users to add and remove lines om a table.  It works fine even if the user's display and the change of form, but when the form is saved and then re-opened, previously deleted rows return.  How can I make sure that my deleted rows are deleted?

  This problem has been resolved by associating a schema to the form which enabled the form to save the State.

• Looking to run a script when the form gets focus

  Hello all flexers out there...
  I have an application that uses a tab navigator control that is embedded inside a tab navigator control. Basically, it gives me two rows of browsers tab which is really cool. My problem, well my flex related question, is that I want to trigger a code when I select one of the tabs in the browser built-in tab control.
  
  I tried to use the indicator of activation in the header tag but who does not have the first time the form is opened, more it will always fire when the browser loses focus. I tried the indicator initialization, but this event only fires when the form is created first and before all the data is passed to the form. The creationComplete triggers once and it was after that the form is created the first time, but before that any data sent to it.
  
  Grrr... I need to initialize a few combo boxes, but I only want to run the Action Script when the form gets the focus and I need to have the data available before running the script. Any ideas?

  Thanks for the tip of Tracy, but the change event fired off so many times, I stop counting until I killed my debugging session.

  After reviewing all the events in the model itself, I finally started to recede in the code. It turned out that the show in the canvas that called the 2nd tab navigator works best.

  There is one thing about Flex that makes me just batty. The way in which things are called and the number of times where things sometimes called in Flex doesn't make much sense at all. I think we should clean up the sequence of events in Adobe Flex! I keep seeing all kinds of events fire off several times and I can't understand why. Well the show solved this problem for me!

• Satellite A100-237 screen remains off when the lid is opened

  OK I'll try my best to explain this. My power settings are adjusted so that the computer has no effect when the lid is closed - except for the display, which is turned off and back on when the lid is opened (normal behaviour).

  Now, in rare occasions, when I opened the back cover, the screen doesn't come back, unless I close the back cover and open again. It is not a big problem for me at the moment, but I'm afraid that the connections of the screen with the motherboard by the cover have been damaged.

  BIOS version 2.00, maybe an update could solve it?

  Hi Ataberk,

  I think that your problem can be caused by the micro-switch that will detect when the laptop lid is closed. If this switch is in the open position so your screen will remain off even with the lid open. The idea here is that you can get the display by closing and opening the lid again.

• How to prevent a TCP connection that is closed when the VI who opened it terminated.

  Hello everyone.

  I'm developing an application based on the servers and clients communicate through TCP in LabVIEW 2012.

  When the Server/client opens a TCP connection, it starts an asynchronosly running "Connection Manager", to which connection reference that takes so all communication happening. It all works very well.

  -J' have a situation where a client connection manager can be informed of another 'new' server. I would like to open the connection (to see if it is still valid) and then pass this reference of connection to the main client code to spawn a new connection manager. This avoids lock me up the Client code main with an ish timeout if the 'new' server does not really accept connections.

  The problem is that if the connection manager that opens the connection to the 'new' server is stopped, then it seems to destroy the reference he opened. This means that the other connection manager that has been happily character with the 'new' server has closed TCP communications (I get an error code 1 on an entry).

  I created an example to illustrate the issue which should be used as follows:

  1 run server.vi - he will listen for a connection on the specified port on his comics.

  2. run Launcher.vi CH - it will open a connection to the server and pass the TCP reference to an instance of connection Handler.vi, which he started.

  3. the connection manager needs to send data to the server

  4. stop the Launcher.vi CH

  5. the will of Handler.vi connection error.

  Do not perform the opening and closing of the TCP connection in Subvi. Do this to master VI.

• Laptop starts up when the lid is opened

  I spilled some water on the laptop. I used AC power with no battery attached. When this happens, I quickly pulled the plug. I knew that the warranty does not damage the water so I dissamble each component and put them in dry box for a week. Then I used alcohol to remove all stains left behind.

  After I got everything back up, the laptop starts fine when the lid is closed and hooked to an external monitor. Can I use any program withou any problem. But it wouldn't start when the cover is open. It was as if someone was holding down the power button to force the computer to turn off.

  My question is, how the laptop detects if the lid is open or closed? It is magnetic, or is it using a switch as a reed switch?

  Most newer laptops have a sensor (switch) magnetic in the cover of the screen bezel or the touchpad.

  You can test that by sliding a small magnet around the telescope cover touchpad area and/or.

  When you put the password on your computer only people who know the password can log into the account protected by password. When your computer is started, or is in sleep or lock, when you try to access it, it will ask for the password.
