Port Forwarding/Asus router

Can someone ' "guide me through Port forwarding

I have the Cloud Connect Port information

I have two TCP and UDP selected in Port forwarding protocol that I have selected "both" (TCP and UDP)

I have a Service name field (LenovoCloud!... or is my "personal cloud name go here?) I also have a range of ports (4900:5300), then I have two other fields IP Local and Local port... What are my values for the last two, (my IP address, see the section called Personal Cloud parameters go here?) that I have however enter the numbers, my router Asus N66RU won't Port Forward...

Thank you

Frank

For my Asus router, I have the following entries specifically for the cloud of Lenovo/Iomega ix2 - dl

Iomega Personal cloud443192.168.1.101443TCP
Iomega Personal Cloud50500192.168.1.10150500BOTH

When the ip address is the ip address internal of the ix2 - dl. You will also need to open potentially other ports for other services, such as FTP, Torrent of Transmission, etc.

    Hi all

I'm having a problem with my WRT1900AC router when port forwarding. I talked to tech support on this issue, but I want to know if the people in the community are affected by the same thing, and perhaps conduct a little experiment.

Basically, the problem is that I am trying to forward the ports for Xbox Live, and after that, the router becomes completely insensitive: cable internet connection cut, cuts wireless and router are accessible via the browser. Turn the power off for 30 seconds and then again has no effect. All the lights are on and stable, but nothing works. The only way to regain access to the router and make it work again is to reset using the button at the back. Support put me through all the troubleshooting steps (firmware, reset and works) but it had no effect.

The thing is that what happens 100% of the time that I try to transmit ports, and even after replacement of the router from the dealer, he AGAIN becomes unresponsive after port forwarding. Even better, is that one of my friends has exactly the same problem and he bought his at the same time as me (early July)

So I would like to know if others are experiencing this as well? The ports, I'm trying to convey are lower, can anyone else try them and see if it works?

Don't put the Port 53. It causes the router to lose connection to the internet. However, others are very good.

  • Setting up Port Forwarding on router WRT54G, working with a WVC54GCA Wireless CAmers

I have the equipment in question and you need to know a few things when it come to put in place for Internet access. Before I aske the question, however, I have the following IP addresses associated with this project: WVC54GCA - 192.168.2.102, router WRT54G - 192.168.2.1, the questions are:

    1. How do you define Port Forwarding on every element.
    2. Should the two articles have static IP addresses.
    3. Once the port forwarding is set, what is the structure of the URL to access the camera?

Any help would be appreciated, summer tear my hair on it. Seems simple, but obviously not. I'm missing something.

    Thank you

For port forwarding, you will first need to set the camera to a fixed LAN IP address (static).

If your router uses the range of 192.168.2.100 thanks 192.168.2.149 DHCP servers, then 192.168.2.102 is an unauthorised fixed address.  With the Linksys routers, any fixed LAN IP address must be outside the range of the DHCP server.

Here are the rules of use of the fixed LAN IP addresses with Linksys routers.  (Note: these rules were written for the 192.168.1.x subnet.)  Since you're using the 192.168.2.x subnet, change all addresses accordingly):

With Linksys, routers, a fixed (static) IP LAN addresses must be assigned in the device that uses the address. If you need to enter the fixed address to the computer, printer or camera, not in the router.

When you use a Linksys router, any fixed LAN IP address must be outside the DHCP server rank (typically 192.168.1.100 thru 192.168.1.149), and may not end with 0, 1 and 255.

That's why any fixed LAN IP address would normally be of the order of
    192.168.1.2 thru 192.168.1.99 or
    192.168.1.150 thru 192.168.1.254
assuming that you always use the default DHCP server line.

In addition, in the computer, when you configure a static LAN IP address, you need to set the "Subnet mask" 255.255.255.0 and the 'default gateway' on 192.168.1.1 and "DNS server" to 192.168.1.1.  Note that some network devices can not use server proxy DNS at 192.168.1.1.  In this case, the value "DNS server" your real address of Internet DNS server (found in the router when connected to the Internet).

It is also important that the same value static LAN IP address no two devices on your network.

    **********************

After you gave your camera at a fixed LAN IP address, then go in "Port Redirection" in the router and configuring the ports one (or more) to the address LAN IP fixed camera.

In order to access your camera from the Internet, you will need to either:

    (1) get a fixed Internet IP address (static) address from your ISP and configure your router to use this address, or

    (2) use a free service such as DDNS.  DDNS allows you to use a dynamic Internet IP address, but can connect you by using the same URL.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I enable port forwarding in the router of the time capsule

Does anyone know how to enable port forwarding in router Time Capsule Airport please?

Port Mapping on the time Capsule airport cannot be enabled unless you have the right type of modem on your network.

Thus, we need the number of brand and model of the device you're calling your "modem" before we can move forward. Please post back this information.  We do not need a series number... only the name of the manufacturer and model number of the modem.

  • Port Forwarding problem through 2 routers RVS4000 2 subnets

I modified a building network to be compliant (Visa) PABP where two router and two subnets are required.

My original CD building network configuration was designed to allow remote access to a server terminal server via the port forwarding on a RVS4000 router. So cables / modems-> xx.xx.xx.xx wan ROUTER lan 192.168.1.1--> subnet 192.168.1.0 with TCP 3389 Port forwarding for 192.168.1.11 (terminal server).

The new configuration of the network is composed of two routers RVS4000 on two subnets. So the Modem cable-> wan xx.xx.xx.xx ROUTER1 lan 192.168.2.2-> Subnet 192.168.2.0-> DMZ 192.168.2.14 and the second router wan ROUTER2 lan--> subnet 192.168.1.0 192.168.1.1 192.168.2.1.

ROUTER1 is configured in Bridge mode and ROUTER2 is configured in router mode. Port forwarding on ROUTER1 to port TCP 3389 is 192.168.2.1 (on ROUTER2 wan port). Port forwarding on Router 2 for the TCP 3389 must 192.168.1.11 port (server address terminal server).

With this new configuration of network I am able to connect to the Terminal Server remotely. No problem with access to the Internet and the 192.168.2.0 subnet from inside the 192.168.1.0 subnet.

So I think my problem is through two RVS4000 routers port forwarding. Any help on this problem will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    1. can you access the terminal server server from inside the subnet 192.168.2.0/24 using the IP WAN to Router 2, which is access 192.168.2.1:3389 from inside 192.168.2.0/24.

    2. turn on Router 2 router in Bridge mode. Try again. My guess is that this will make the work of transfer. I think that port forwarding is linked to the NAT/gateway mode. No NAT no transfer. Is not logical to use the transfer when you are able to access the IP directly without NAT. Of course, the web interface does not allow you to forward a port located outside the LAN subnet...

    3. are you sure that you can access internet through Router 2 in router mode on the LAN subnet router 2? Usually in the NAT their own LAN subnet routers only bridge mode but not others. If the RVS4000 not NAT a different subnet that would be good to know.

  • Router not configured for port forwarding

I use a modem wireless to my ISP, they block all ports less than 1024 and I need to forward ports 80 & 440

    How can I solve this?

If you configure your router for a LenovoEMC Personal Cloud and always see the message, "Not configured router for port forwarding" under personal cloud Configuration, one or more of the following ports are probably blocked by your internet provider (ISP): 80, 443or port selected in the range 50500-50599 .

Port 80 is used for internet access (HTML UN-secure) in general. If this port is blocked, but the ports 443 and 50500 are open, the Personal Cloud will work correctly even if the error message appears.

Port 443 is used for remote access on the host network storage device. If this port is blocked, but the port selected in the range 50500 is open, you will be able to use the Personal Cloud LenovoEMC and invite others to use it, but you will not be able to access your network storage device via the Internet URL. (See answer ID 30773 for more information on access remotely through Personal Cloud LenovoEMC.)

A port in the range of 50500-50599 must be routed through the router to use the function LenovoEMC Personal Cloud. If this port is blocked by your ISP, you will not be able to access the Personal Cloud to your network storage device or invite others to join the Personal Cloud. (For more information, see answer ID 29070 .)

  • Help for my new E2500 router port forwarding

My hosting web home used to work. But due to new ISP from Verizon to TWC, TWC gave me a modem-router and I bought my own router Linksys E2500. Verizon and services of TWC, that I subscribed are dynamic IP address. I use a third party to redirect web traffic to my house.

TWC gave me a simple modem-router in one box. An entry is coaxial and outputs are 4 ethernet ports. I use one of the 4 outputs of the TWC ethernet box to connect to the internet the E2500 input ethernet port. All my sons and wireless devices are now feeding the E2500. All wireless and wireline devices works and can surf the internet through the E2500.

I have assigned to one computer as the web server and the internal IP Address of this computer as 192.168.1.128 addess. The same goes for the installer with Verizon before.

I loaded him comes from CD with the router E2500 and see the LAN 192.168.1.128.

My problem starts from there, I do not know how to set the port in E2500 192.168.1.128 to web traffic

    1. using the CD E2500, I click on 'APPLICATION AND GAMES', then 'SIMPLE PORT FORWARDING'. under the NAME of the APPLICATION, I select one box for HTTP and type in 128 under "IP ADDRESS". I then click on ACTIVE, then 'save settings '. The 192.168.1 is set in this window, I can type only 128.

It does not work. I can browse the internet, but can not access my site of all machines using domain name.

    Then I tried:

2 to point 1 above, I continued to Setup > BASIC SETUP > DHCP RESEVERSATION. I can see the name of calculation/sever and the 192.168.1.128. Then, I click on the "select" and save the customer.

I rebooted the computer/server, I disconnect and reconnect power E2500. I check the internal IP address of the server, and it's always the same. But I can't just browse my site. I can browse other places.

No idea what's wrong on my fault? Help, please.

Your modem is a router. All incoming internet requests end up on the modem/router. You must configure the port forwarding on the modem/router first before the E2500 will see nothing incoming from the internet.

    Alternatives:

    1. turn the modem/router mode 'bridge', which turns into a simple modem. You can connect directly to the internet with your E2500.

    2. place the E2500 as simple access point and keep the modem/router as your main and single router. Then any transmission is made on the modem/router.

  • Port forwarding for the suddenly closed Linksys router

I have a 54G wireless router... correctly port forwarded a request of a CPU (server)... but after no connection made by the user on the server... it suddenly close the application... so what I did is to reboot the router in order to refresh the connection...

Are there other ways to fix this sudden closure of ports?  so that I would more restarts on my router

I appreciate a lot of help...

As directed by your statement the port that you have passed on the closed router without any connection to the server is unusual. Please make sure that you have configured an IP address static (outside the range of the router DHCP) on your server and put the same IP address for the specific port port forwarding tab.

In addition, reduce the MTU size on the router to 1400. See the link below on how to make the changes in the MTU size.

  • Port Forwarding issue with HP Photosmart C7250 / Windows 7 / Linksys router

Help, please! I worked on this problem with HP, Microsoft, No - IP.com, etc with no resolution.

I have a 650 workstation DELL computer in office which has been recently formatted and had a clean install of Windows 7 will be of all installed updates. He is running Free AVG 9.0. There is a Linksys WRT54GS Wireless with disabled DMZ and Port 80 (only) active.

I have installed no.-solution of IP.com for the creation of a hostname to point to my dynamic IP address.

I need to have Port 80 go to the IP address of my PC so that I can set up synchronization option Wireless of my CRM with my iPhone and Blackberry. Instead, whenever I created the public IP address or host name, it brings me to the Web Interface of my HP Photosmart C7250 printer. Even, I assigned a static internal IP (and DNS) address to the printer (192.168.1.101) but no matter what I do Port 80 goes into that compared to the IP from my PC to 192.168.1.110 which is the IP in my router.  The printer is set up wireless on Channel 6 (WEP encryption).  UPnP is disabled.

I called HP and they said, there is no place that port forwarding is enabled. This doesn't seem to be the case. I tried to change the internal IP address of the PC to 192.168.1.101, but it had nothing works (could not ping or pull up the Web Interface for HP). I tried to add a different port number and it doesn't work.

I need Port 80 to connect to my IIS server. Microsoft says that this is but another State Tech that disrupts the HP software. From the HP Web Interface, it is what appears when I type in my host name or public IP address and it's not going to my PC, then I have a tendency to agree.

FYI... I unplugged the printer and now when I try to ping the public IP address, I always get a response (even after half an hour of the printer being disconnected). Please HELP ASAP! Thank you!!!

Solution - on secondment in case anyone else ever runs into this.  Update the firmware on the Linksys router did the trick!

    From and upward... FINALLY!

  • Airport of Port Forwarding is more?

So I'm pretty new to this network thing. I don't know the technical network terms then please do not use (or at least their simplification). So I managed to set up my ASUS RT - something something router. I also put in some rules to sink my Xbox One anywhere port forwarding. However, I had problems with port forwarding, so I just used the dmz for her service. However, given that I had to move my Xbox to another part of my house with worst network connection, set up a time capsule for the network. After a long time, I managed to do the work, but now I can listen to is no longer my Xbox. My guess is that the port forwarding rules are not carriers, as it connected via ethernet time capsule and the capsule is connected to another time capsule via radio and this time capsule is connected to my ASUS router via ethernet. So my question is: how to transfer the required ports to my Xbox?

If both of your time Capsules are configured as bridges, the Asus router is the one that needs to be set up on port mapping. The port mapping is used only when a router is configured for routing. In other words, the NAT and DHCP services are enabled. This is the default value for any router.

Just to make sure that I understand your current network configuration, the following is correct?

    • ASUS > Time Capsule > > > Time Capsule > Xbox, where ' > ' represents a wired connection, and ' > > > ' represents a wireless.
  • How do I port forward on apple airport? (READ ALL)

I have an airport express from apple connected to an asus router via wifi and I need to know how I can portforward by airport to the router because my pc is connected by ethernet to the airport. Help, please.

The express should be none not routing at all and therefore no port forwarding.

The only way this can work is the express installation to the wireless bridge... Apple called client mode... There is no routing.

BUT it can also have port problems... It is really unsuitable if you operate in questions.

In any case all the transfer is possible on the Asus.

  • Why isn't my port forwarding of the opening port

I have the latest version of the 3 terabyte time capsule. I'm trying to forward a port so I can access my security cameras and it does not open.  My camera 100 port needs to be open and it will report as not open on any port test sites. Any ideas as to why, I use a static ip address of the server for the security system.

Testing websites are useless... test by plugging actually to the camera from a device attached to a captive phone or a friend...

Port forwarding works only if you have the public IP address on the Wan of the TC... and it's the only router in the network... is this the case?

  • Port forwarding rules missing WNR1000V3

I read a few posts here that may be similar, but they are so old, that threads are blocked. I'm trying to help out a local company add some rules to redirect to their server port WNR1000V3 more.

They must have some configuration of port forwarding already because they are able to access an existing via RDP server so there is a rule somewhere for port 3389. However, it is has nothing listed in respect of port forwarding.

My view on it after scratching my head for several hours, it's that there is either a port forwarding rules defined and running, but they are not displayed in the user interface, OR there is some screen that I have not found (was all!) where port forwarding is also configured.

I think it's the first because there is no rule for the listed FTP, but if I try to add a new FTP rule, it displays a "conflict of Port with other services".

Firmware is V1.0.2.62_60.0.87 although the router points out that there is an update.

There is a known issue like this with this model? It seems a few years old.

    Thank you, Rob.

Sorry, I would have given an update on that. I am aware of what means the error and it was probably that a rule on this port unless it was not displayed. I hoped that export Netgear configuration could be a human readable script (found on the Cisco routers), but it's not.

After discussion about ServerFault and checking some of the suggestions there, it became clear that something was broken enough with the router. An update does not solve so I have taken note of all the settings and did a reset.

That solved the problem. My theory is that some bugs in an earlier version of the firmware caused a bad record in order to be there for port forwarding. One that actually worked, but could not be displayed.

    Cheers, Rob.

  • Need help with the port forwarding for a XBox remote Streaming

I have a router R6200v2 and need help with port forwarding.

I came across this set of instructions for setting up stream port forwarding XBox remotely from anywhere

Port Forwarding and triggering Port pages setup look very different from what the guy uses. Can someone walk me through what I do to set up please?

    Hi @varxtis,

You must enter them in the field for a start external Port and external completion Port. You will need to send individually except for the range of 49000-65000. The steps are as follows.

    1. create a Service name (it could be something else that you cannot use the same service name twice. Ex. XBOX1, XBOX2 and so forth.)

    2. Select the type of service (TCP, UDP or both)

3 entry 5050 times a start external Port and external endpoints.

    4. Select the IP address of your XBOX.

    5. Select apply.

6 do the same for other port numbers. To the beach, use 49000 for the external departure Port and for the external completion Port 65000.

    Kind regards
