Port SATA Lenovon ThinkPad E530 3259-C2G Edge

Hello

I plan buy E530 3259-C2G outgrowing the 750 GB HARD drive for an SSD. Is the HARD drive sata port is attached a SATA 2.0 (3 Gb/s) or SATA 3.0 (6 Gb/s).

HARD drive Bay supports SATA3.

The port of mSATA is SATA2.

I have problem with my laptop. After a clean instalation of win7 64 bit, instalation of all drivers with lenovo update and windows update is the Hibernate option behaves in a strange way.

    Someone knows what to do?

  • ThinkPad E530: Windows 8 COA sticker missing

Recently, I bought Thinkpad E530 mobile computer with Windows 8 Pro installed. However, I did not receive installation disc and there was no COA sticker anywhere. I also checked under the battery. The seller says something like "it's something new with Windows 8 and sticker is no longer necessary.

I tried first to get assistance on Microsoft website, but after entering Windows 8 PID I learned that I would have to pay for it, because my copy is supported by Lenovo.

Contacting Lenovo has proved to be a challenge. I was just unable to find a way to do online. Only way seems to be by phone and:

    1. I'm not willing to pay for international calls

    2. I want, a written confirmation, so I put pressure on my seller

So, I really need to know, how to communicate with Lenovo and ask two things:

    1. How can I install media?

    2. How can I get the key of Windows 8 (for example to install the new copy) and the COST is really more provided.

    Thank you in advance.

    Correct COST is over supplied.

If you want to learn more about the PID, see http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/windows-8-product-key.htm

I have a TechNet subscription, so I have no problems with getting ISOs for Windows 8 Pro (which I'm available for). Once you get the correct version, you should be able to install the operating system without even having to enter the product key.

  • Number of ports SATA on a Pavilion Elite 9250t

How many hard drives SATA internal can be run in a Pavilion Elite 9250 t?

I'm not worried about the power from one of the disks will be in the solid state. The machine has enough ports SATA internal to run 3 hard disks without disconnecting the optical drive?

    Brandon

    Brandon,

Here are the specifications of the motherboard.  Look in the lower right corner; two sata ports are vertical and two sata ports are horizontal.

Yes, you can run three hard drives.  You could install the third disc by using a 5.25 to 2.5 (3.5) support in the open optical Bay.

    Hey Hardy.

Yes, because when you set your PM to make your all the lowest settings help you can. For example, if you look under your CPU system settings is set to low, with the other settings to reduce the amount of heat that would reduce the need of fan work as well or at a higher rate.

Also, with some versions of the power under Advanced Settings Manager, you will find political cooling system.

I tried to install driver ericsson and Sierra, but none works. Also when using the network key is not even show the WAN option.

If the online specifications are correct, your E530 does not have a WWAN card.

I pasted your slot machine specifications and those for an E520 that comes with mobile broadband.

You can verify your listing by clicking on SUPPORT above, and then enter 3259-Flumeri fast path on the right.

  • Ports SATA, eSATA capacity in HP ENVY 700-215xt

I am considering a desktop HP ENVY 215xt 700 PC.  I see the motherboard has 4 different color SATA ports, but can't find anything in the documentation describing the.  Are some readers allocated to hard, other DVD players?  I want to add a bracket eSATA to image the internal HD to a hard drive external.  It is therefore important to know what MB SATA connector to use.

In addition, there is a documentation on the BIOS for the motherboard of Memphis-B?  Could not find.

    Hello kk123,

I understand that you are curious about SATA ports on your motherboard and that they are specific to the device. I'm linking you to an HP support document: all SATA hard drives and controller Modes, which should answer your questions about the SATA controllers.

I am also including a HP support document: Serial ATA Hard Drive cablesthat if you scroll down to the end of the document is a table that explains the colors of SATA connectors and what they are for.

Finally, I provide you with a last paper Support HP: HP PCI eSATA kit installation cable, that well that is not specific to your computer will give you an idea of how set up your eSATA support.

I hope that I have answered your questions to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Port Sata is in 2119tx Dv6 is 2 sata or sata 3?

Hi I can't seem to be able to find the version of sata port, if it is a 2 or 3 for sata 2119tx dv6 as wanting to get a SSD for her.

    Thank you

    Hello:

Your model has a Mobile Intel PM55 chipset that manages a maximum rate of 3.0 GB/S SATA controller.

    Here's the Intel Chipset specs:

    http://www.Intel.com/products/Notebook/chipsets/PM55/PM55-overview.htm

I'd still get a sata III SSD.  You can always move to a newer model with a controller sata III.

    You'll be glad you did.

  • Re: Satellite P300-1AE - port SATA speed

    Hello

I have wonderd what sata port speed is on my laptop for a possible upgrade to an ssd.
I know that the chipset is able to use 3 Gbit/S, but I've also read that some company limited the seed to 1.5 Gbps for the extended battery life.
Given that drives hard base provided with the laptop are 1.5 GB/S, I was wondering if it was capped too?

Try a scanner system such as [http://www.crucial.com/uk/systemscanner/] and see what ssd is recommended.

  • Z620: HP Z620 Ports SATA multiple discs

    Hello

    I bought a HP Workstation Z620.
When purchasing a 256 GB SSD was installed.
Now, I want to install another (additional) hard disk SSD. This does not work, the drive is detected in any of 3 bays. Will I need anything else?

Maybe I can help with this...

A hard 3.5 "has its rear disc SATA data and power ports shifted to the side, seen from the back.  Most 2.5 to 3.5 "form factor cards never change things on the side for the exact amount.

Z620 disk drawers slide in rails, and if a 3.5 "HDD is in place in the drawer matches perfectly with a rear device called a receiver BlindMate, made by Foxconn for HP.

So, to get a 2.5 form factor "SSD to mesh perfectly with the one that you need an adapter appropriate 2.5 to 3.5", not a generic adapter.

My two favorites are the Western Digital IcePack and one made by Foxconn for HP.  Go to eBay and search for:

1 WD Icepack and get one with sides going in the direction shown on the picture below.  You can remove the grey foam and screws SSD in a downstairs:

    2. it's the one that I actually like the best, and it's an HP product.  The screws go in from the side rather than the bottom, and this is the number of the room to look for on eBay... 654540-001. here is a picture:.  When you screw your SSD in this adapter and then attach the drawer Z620 pair, you will be able to slide the drawer in his receiver and the drive will be physically installed perfectly.

There is the question of if you have a drive that is properly formatted in NTFS and type MBR to boot advances.  If you do not understand that you have some homework to do:.  If you have already formatted NTFS SSD and appear on a Windows workstation via another link, then I bet you just have the right adapter to get things to mesh physically together correctly.  Here's this picture of the HP adapter:

  • What type of port SATA is it?

    Hello.

There are two SATA ports on this picture that aren't like something I've never seen before: Red (SATA4) and black (SATA5) ones.  What kind of connector works with this kind of thing?  I tried the splined type 'L' and I do not see that it will work. Or maybe I'm missing something?

    Hello

You can use one of these sata angle left to right sata cables.  It would apply either a left or right sata plug.

  • Ports SATA 8700 XPS 2/3/4 not seeing not added Blu - Ray burners

I bought an XPS-8700 (16 GB of RAM / HD 2 TB) at Costco online and received on Friday.

Until it happens, I had ordered three items for this:

    Plextor PX-256M5M mSATA SSD

LG WH14NS40 Blu - Ray burner

    Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (not a fan o0f Windows 8)

I installed the SSD drive and it works fine.

I then installed the LG Blu - Ray into the slot ODD1 engraver and connected the cable to the SATA 2 port. After starting the system, I was a little surprised to not see Adding Blu - Ray burner.

I tried then reverse SATA cables will ODD0 and ODD1. Now, the LG Blu - Ray burner is there, but not the DVD recorder provided. I reversed the wires without modification in present readers think that the new SATA cable could be bad.

Then I tried to connect the added drive SATA 4 and SATA 3 with no luck.

From what I can tell, the new burner LG Blu - Ray and SATA cable are both fine in their work when it is connected to the SATA 1.

The DVD/CD burner, nor added Blu - Ray burners work on SATA 2 ports, 3 or 4.

I guess (and we all where that leads) that the second optical drive is supported as the two upper bays are labeled ODD0 and ODD1.

Any ideas as to what is needed to get the XPS-8700 to recognize a CURIOUS on 2-4 SATA ports?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ed

Even though I know that this Post goes back to August 2012, today's date is January 20, 2014... I thought that I would say because I have to bought a XPS8700 and he received just 3 days ago.

After installing a 2nd HDD internal who were executed in my Dell XPS420 (OS Win7)... when I first started my XPS8700 running Windows8... Windows has not seen the 2nd internal HARD drive.  I could see the 2nd HDD wooden (like this poster)... but not in Windows.  He did not appear in the 'Computer', the Manager of devices or disk management.

Read this Posters comment, I really thought I had a XPS8700 with a bad motherboard since the poster wrote the 2nd XPS8700, he got... its added reader has been detected by Windows... However, in my case... it was not the result.

I contacted Dell and arrangements were made to have a technology specialist call me.  I explained what I did to include moving the DVD installed Dell, which has been seen by Win8... from motherboard Port 1 to Port 2 (where I had connected the 2 internal)... and Windows does not see the DVD drive.  He confirmed that he would be the Port of the motherboard.  In settings Dell prior WOOD under Win7... you had to get into WOOD and turn on each SATA motherboard and OFF connections... I could not find in the WOOD of XPS8700.

The final document; the Dell specialist had me go back into the WOODS... had me click each tab in the WOODS... it was obvious that he was looking for a framework he hoped that should correct the problem.  Tab START of WOODS, he had me stressed "Secure Boot"... which was displayed as ACTIVE, click ENTER and change for disabled in the Popup window, use exit F10 WOOD and SAVE the settings.

XPS8700 seemed to take a long time to start for Win8... it just seemed slow, I thought that now things are really foires... I can't even start to Win8.  But when she took what seemed like forever, nothing better than just watching a blank screen, when it finally starts screen Win8 tiles and I opened the 2nd HHD 'Computer', I installed was displayed and I managed to get it... write to her...

From what I have studied the COURSE wood is set to "ENABLED"... and it blocks Ports to the motherboard, so that if another device is connected that has an operating system installed the PC will not see it.  If this is true, why wouldn't not Dell communicate this?  Better yet, how many users would connect another device with a BONE... why not the XPS8700 of ship with the SECURITY setting set to DISBALED?  How many people encounter this same problem said their mother was bad... and Dell paid to replace them, worse still, returned their XPS8700...?

I will add, it took a few reboots after that setting has been changed to DISABLED before my XPS8700 started upward and as quickly as he did before the change in closing...

A mere 3 second difficulty... to a very complicated problem... Hope this helps the other faced with this question
