Portable win 8 frequently loses connection wifi

Buy brand new laptop with Win8 Pro installed.
MSI GT - 70 / i7XM/32 GB of RAM
Intel wifi card

Laptop has had problems with the wifi since the beginning.  Sometimes spend a whole day, sometimes lost wifi after about 20 minutes.  Workarounds for many working restore wifi:
-airplane mode on / off
-Restart WlanSvc
-Restart the computer

Instead, I use this laptop for business, I am obliged now to use with Ethernet only when dealing with customers.  Excruciatingly painful.

There is nothing wrong with my wifi at home - several other laptops, tablets and phones all hums along without interruption.  It is only $2000 + brand new laptop that breaks down frequently.

All drivers verified to date: no change.
All checked the firmware up to date on router: no change.
Wiped computer in its entirety and rebuilt: no change.
Card replaced wifi adapter: no change.

Simply, this is not satisfactory.  Please help.  I have work to do and I'd like to be able to do with my work instead of a power machine laptop low vintage 2006.

It's fixed!

None of the technical solutions provided on this website provided a fix, but here's what finally makes a difference.

Win 8A power of material management control.  It seems that this feature of power management is defective (for a very large number of people) and turn off the wifi adapter once from time to time.

To solve this - go to network and sharing Center

Click the Wi - Fi network in use

Click on the properties button

Click on configure

Go to the power management tab

Clear the check box.

Fixed!

  • Intermittently lose connection WiFi. XP Pro, Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG

I recently recovered from a nasty virus and my computer seems back to normal except an annoying problem. Periodically, I lose my wireless connection. It happens on multiple networks, so I know it's the computer. I updated my drivers (all who were on the Dell support site specific for my service tag) and still not fixed. I used to be forced to restart, but now (after the driver update), I can use the Device Manager to disable, and then enable the wireless adapter and the connection returns every time... but its obviously annoying.

Any suggestions would be helpful. I have a Dell Latitude D630 running XP Pro. The
card is an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG. Thanks in advance.

You may not say anything on the power saving mode, but the link you posted has done. None of these things worked anyway.

However, I found a solution that others may find useful. Apparently the Dell Web site is not exhaustive with regard to the pilots. I found a update for my driver wireless on a third party site, Drivermax.com

After the update, the problem has been resolved. DriverMax is an application that is free to download and much appreciated on download.com

Free version allows only download driver per day, so be sure to choose carefully.

Lesson learned: sites Web of manufacturers is not always the best place to find updates driver

My pro iPad connects to the WIFI, but loses connectivity to drops in use.  My other IOS devices (iPhone, macbook, etc.) do not have this problem.  Ideas to solve?

    Hello BrooklynWM!

I definitely want my iPad to stay connected to the Wi - Fi connection while I use it.  Thanks for posting that other iOS and OS X devices have no problem with the connectivity dropping.  We can try a few things.

Would first go through the steps listed in this article: If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connects to a Wi-Fi - Apple Support Network

Then if it does not help, you can check network settings with this: recommended for the WiFi routers and access - points Apple supported

After trying those, if you still see the drop connectivity, make sure the iPad Pro is updated with iOS 9.3.2 and check to see if the connection when you are in a certain place, time, or one event happening elsewhere in the House.

    Best regards.

  • Why my ipad loses the wifi connection when I abandon my modem wireless of Qwest

Why my ipad loses the wifi connection when I abandon my modem wireless of Qwest

WiFi connections are losing their strength increases the distance between the router and so as a general rule, there are some conflicting objects

    Try the following steps please

The following actions and after each test to see if the issue is resolved - if yes, then you can omit the following steps - I tried to list them in ascending order of the effort at least on a Mac and / or an iDevice

    1. Check if the problem is related to a single device and if other devices connect normally-
    2. If the answer 1 is 'yes' - try to connect the device assigned to somewhere else if possible - coffee or the University
    3. Perform a forced - restart cela do not delete or purge all data and allows to solve many problems - here is how - press and hold the Off / On Home button and at the same time for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Allow normal startup upward.
    4. Settings - WiFi - < network name > - Click on forget network - do a restart forced according to 3 and then add again the network
    5. If home - reboot the router by unplugging it for 60 seconds (power) and the plug and reconnect - obviously, this step can be done in a public place like a cafe or airport or University. While you're there - make sure your router is working on the latest firmware (check manufacturer's website)
    6. Settings - general - reset - Reset network settings - remember to have very practical WiFi passwords because it erases the WiFi passwords
    7. If it is a new specific net device in your home - make sure that the router gives enough DNS for all numbers which must / wants a connection - stuff like the printer, Chromecast get overlooked - ask for more details on this so not sure option
    8. Backup the device to iTunes - restore as NEW (no) - see if solves problem - if yes - restore backup
    9. An appointment of 'Genius' to an Apple Store, or select another authorized service provider.

  • WiFi loses connection intermittently and the erasure of the arp arranges

This has been asked before many times, but none of the above worked for me so far.

I have a MacBook Pro with El Capitan on it. From time to time, usually 5 to 10 minutes,

my connection drops and I can browse the internet. As:

    4 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7646 ttl = 53 time = 13,091 ms

    64 bytes of 8.8.8.8: icmp_seq = 7647 ttl = 53 time = 17,035 ms

Shooting, then turn on the WiFi will fix the problem, but I tried to limit the problem

and I discovered that deleting IP of the route in the arp table will also fix connectivity

    immediately:

    $ sudo arp d 192.168.0.1

    Request timeout for icmp_seq 7719

Deactivation of unicast arp has NO had no effect either:

    $ sudo sysctl-w net.link.ether.inet.arp_unicast_lim = 0

    Notes:

-J' have two MacBook Pro at home. Other works without problem.

-My phone and other devices work also with the same router with no problems.

-The problematic MacBook works with other WiFi networks without any problem.

    What could be the problem?

Yes, clear arp fix it. Very familiar with it.

I had this problem for 2 years and more than 2 or 3 MacBooks, on El Capitan, Yosemite, and Mavericks.   I Googled it every 1-2 years months.  I captured packets and tested several access points... The best fix so far... is the arp compensation, and I have the automated at the moment:

    in a terminal:

While true; make sudo arp - da; sleep 2; fact

When the window is open, every 2 seconds, my arp table gets undervalued... and if I lose connectivity, the maximum cut is 1 to 2 seconds.

I noticed that in some places, I don't have the problem... its as if my laptop reacts badly to some other customers on the same WIFI network.  This question makes me crazy, and I can't imagine how was such years.  If I don't fix it manually, I find myself for 30-120 seconds every few minutes.

    Thank you

    Ajdee20

    Hello

Go to Page 6 in this manual:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03939658.PDF

All the compatible wireless adapters listed for your model in the manual are adapter single band and operates on the 2.4 GHz ONLY band.

Go to Device Manager and expand network adapters. You will see the names and model numbers wireless adapter.

If the suffix of the wireless card description ends in bgn, then this is the only map of a single band (2.4 GHZ). If it ends in abgn or agn, then this is a wireless card dual band (2.4 GHz/5.0 GHz).

Computers in most portable consumer HP are equipped with single band card.

You can use the dongle USB wireless adapter Alternatively.

  • Connection WiFi guard fall on my new laptop of HP ENVY m6-k025dx Sleekbook.

    Hello

I just got my laptop new HP ENVY. Name of product: m6-k025dx. It works on 64-bit Windows 8. I feel a sudden loss and frequent my Wifi connection. When it disconnects, I don't even connect it to cursor (that slides off the right side of the screen and displays the network list) by clicking on the network down button to the right of the screen. I have to restart my laptop to connect again and after 5-7 minutes, I lose again.

I have tried many suggestions on the amendment to the Plan of power for maximum performance and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power", but nothing seems to work.

The network driver is Intel Centrino Wireless - N 2230. I have also updated the driver and off Bluetooth and ethernet as part of suggestions found on the web.

I don't know if it is a problem of Windows 8 / Intel / HP. Help, please.

    Nadeem

From my own research, if you have an intel centrino N - 2230 network adapter and use 8 64-bit windows, you need a new driver. This adapter has connectivity wifi which are known for problems intel. Check here: http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-025332.htm and then contact an HP tech via chat and they correct Web site, download and install the new driver from intel. I tried to do it myself, and it did not work. The technology did for me by online chat and remote assistance. Do it for what they tell you it's a hardware problem. It's a problem of network adapter that requires an updated driver. Let me know if it works for you.

  • Time Capsule loses connectivity

I read several threads about people having problems with their wifi and their Time Capsule.  Son as:

Problem WiFi fall on Time Capsule

However, my problem seems to be just a little different and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what is the problem.  Sometimes I lose a wifi signal as the thread above suggests, but most of the time he manifests a little different.  In my case, I have a TC of 4th Gen (A1409) I have been physically power cycling about 5 times a day due to lost connectivity.  The TC in these cases never stops a broadcast signal, but the internet connection is lost.  This happens on all my devices (MacBook Pro, iPhone, Kindle, etc.).  The green light is on the front of the TC, which means everything is good, but its obviously not.  If I turned off the TC, then return on power, everything works again.  Because I have a success rate of 100% for connectivity at the time where the power cycling the TC, I am quite confident that this isn't the cable modem.

Until I followed the instructions to reset the TC and decommission the FW to 7.6.1 on the other thread I just want to check that the proper action to take for this problem as well.  So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

On a side note, I find it very disappointing reviews suggest these CT only last about 3 years until they flake.  It seems absolutely ridiculous given the cost of these things.  If I bought a router generic $15 maybe, but how can Apple do not have a product that lasts for more than 3 years?  If this is the case, I almost certainly will not replace it with a new TC... I'll opt for a standard wireless router and attach a network drive for half the price.

I need to clarify my previous post a little.  I have my entire House wired Ethernet, although 95% of the vehicles used are wireless in the House.  That said, I have an AirPort Extreme, located upstairs in my house (the TC is in the basement).  AirPort Extreme is wired in the TC and acts as a bridge that runs from my network wireless in my house.  I named it differently, making it easy to know that I'm connected to point access.  When I lose the connection, wifi signal generated by the TC (AppleNet/AppleNet 5 GHz) is no longer detectable.  The wifi signal generated by my AirPort Extreme (AppleNet2) is detectable.  But even if you are connected to it, there is no internet connection.  Thus, not only the TC is down its wireless signal, its apparently lost all connectivity even for cable connections.  If it was just a wifi problem, whatever it is connected to my Airport, which is wired to the back of the TC, would probably stay connected, but they do not.

Check the updated drivers for the NETWORK card and WiFi.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.
