  I presume you have disassembled the machine full, right?

  RTC battery is placed on the system board. For the RTC battery free you need to disconnect the speaker of PJ16 beam. It is covered with adhesive tape. RTC battery is connected to the PJ12. It is covered with insulation of RTC.

  Hi, can someone help me on this...
  I have an old portege 3020CT who has an external Cd-Rom... I formatted the pc as I have had some problem with it... Now I can not configure the new 98SE win. When I put the boot disk in it, it does have some disks. I can't access the CD-ROM drive to install win98.
  The CD rom TEAC CD-224th if... I don't know what to do, can anyone help me on this please...

  and then modify it at your convenience. Normally, you do not need general support PCMCIA (hotplug and general support) but rather use a driver or a catalyst for the device that you want to join.

  Reflect on what device you want to use and then find the driver BACK to the device.
  Add to the CONFIG. SYS or AUTOEXEC. BAT and then you're home.

  I have an a Portege R930. I run an application of 25-30% of the CPU for long hours. If I put the laptop in mode 'sleep', the calculation get suspended? If not, and it is still running, how the CPU is cooled when the fan is off mode 'sleep'? The CPU can overheat?

  Error code 10 means that the device could not start.
  This may be related to driver problem (software), but also hardware problem.

  Let's see if its a software issue: check that I recommend you to uninstall the software for a Chicony webcam first.
  As far as I know, you should be able to uninstall the software in the control panel? programs & features.
  In the case of the Chicony webcam software is not listed here, go to Device Manager and uninstall the webcam driver which you should find in imaging devices.

  After the system restart, go to the page of the Toshiba UE driver and download Chicony webcam software to perform the new installation.

  I think that your keyboard is faulty.
  Connect an external USB keyboard and check if both CTRL would work.
  If both work correctly using the external keyboard, then your internal keyboard should be replaced to solve this problem.
