    Hello

Control Panel - SOUNDS - Audio peripheral devices configuration-manager

Make sure you write down the description and model double click top - tab drivers - write version. Now
Click on update drivers who cannot do anything like MS is far behind the certification of drivers. Then RIGHT
CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.

If your driver shows 06 you have the default windows and part of the question.

Go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest Audio/Sound drivers - download - SAVE - go to the place where you
Put them - right click on Reboot - RUN AS ADMIN -.

Check the Version on the tab of the driver in the device as a sound Manager often restoring drivers, then install
the current version. Restart and check after each try, not uncommon to have to run the pilot of 1 to 4 times or more.
Just make sure that the version you have installed appears in the tab of the driver.

Then navigate to the site of the manufacturer of the device and search for the drivers more recent and repeat the installation procedure.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Child can disable Windows Live Family Safety on notebook child through Control Panel

    Hello
My 14-year-old bought her own laptop.  I installed Windows life family safety (WLFS).

He informed me that he can turn it off via the control panel > user accounts and Family Safety > Parental control > provider Elite > [click on "None" or "WLFS"].

Suggested family security forums I set up an adult user and make me an administrator and my son a Standard user.  I tried, but his computer become unusable because it was not able to perform the same tasks such as access to the files he needed for the programming, install/uninstall a software, or perform maintenance on the system.

So, I removed the adult user and made my son admin. Now I have to go on trust.

Q: what other solution is there?  Is there another software that I can install it on his computer which will follow his activity but does not appear as a 'provider' in the Parental Control Panel?

It will not uninstall it, because then his computer should be removed.  I want to just keep him off for 2 minutes to check an adult site and then turn it on again - which is what he can do with the Windows parental control.

Why don't block you websites of the wireless router... theres some kind of startup Web page configured for the netgear an others as well...

This problem occurs because of a missing or corrupted Rundll32.exe file. This problem can also be caused by a virus.

Method 1: Follow the steps mentioned in the article below

Cannot find the Rundll32.exe file when you open Control Panel

  • cant open Control Panel/error/RPC server is unavailable

When I try to open the system restore, I get this error code... Class not registered (0 x 80040154)

If I try to open the control panel I can not and I get... The RPC server is unavailable

    What can I please?

    Hello

System restore depends on the RPC Server service that could be the reason why you can not run the system restore.

The Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Services service must be started and startup type must be set to automatic.

    (a) click Start, type services in the start search box and press enter.

    (b) in the Services window, find a remote procedure call and do a right click on it to select Properties.

    (c) under the general tab, make sure the Startup type is Automatic and the Service status is Started.

    Hello

Windows Explorer crashes is mainly caused by an incompatible Shell Extension.

You can download this reg from my SkyDrive file:

    http://CID-128fc518635be2dc.SkyDrive.live.com/self.aspx/.public/Ms%20Foren/registry/WER%5E_Explorer.reg

and double click on the file to import. If you are unable to do this, run regedit.exe and import the registry file here!

When the Windows Explorer crashes, Windows Error Reporting Service [1] creates a dmp under C:\Localdumps. Please download the file to your public Skydrive folder [2] and post the link here. I take a look at the discharge with the debugger, maybe that I can see what Shell extension is the cause.

Who should download the installation diskettes? You must download the installation diskettes if all the following conditions are met:
    • You install a new version, full of the retail Windows XP.

Note An upgrade to Windows XP installation does not require the installation diskettes.

  • Portege M200 - device unknown in Device Manager

I did a clean install of Windows XP on my toshiba portege m200 (Tablet). I have most of the devices drivers installed, but there is one that I can't understand. The device manager says I have an "unknown device" on my "Intel 82801 dbm lpc interface controller.

What is it? I thought it was the chip set, but I had installed the Intel chipset drivers (twice, just to make sure that I really did), but it still reads as 'unknown device' on ' Intel (r) 82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC.

To resolve this issue go to the device, right click on the unknown device, Manager and then select set to update driver.
When the Hardware Update Wizard appears, select the advanced option.
From the next window, select the 'don't search. I will choose the driver' option
Now, go to the Intel announcement and select good "82801DBM LPC Interface Controller - 24CC.
Click OK and now it should work.

Also, be sure you have all the drivers installed from Toshiba Web site:

  • I can't restore the default scale (96 DPI) after editing it in custom scale (144 DPI) via Control Panel

On my LG, running OS Vista business notebook, I tried a larger screen, through control panel\personalization, font then decided I preferred the default size after all, but after changing the size of return, by clicking OK and then by restarting the machine, the machine always starts with the largest font size I tried.  It may or may not have a report any with how I disabled the touch-pad through the windows Mobility Center, and now I can't get back no more.  The touch-pad is a LG customization, so may not be something to do with windows, but the screen font size seems to be a bug in windows.

    Hello

Try adjusting the resolution first. Control the display of the Panel/customize/settings, move the slider to the left.

As for the touchpad, you may need to reactivate by Device Manager before that he'll be back.

  • Windows Search / Immersive Control Panel / AppData Error Message

I have a new laptop HP Envy delivered pre-installed with Windows 8.1 on a hard drive traditional.

Immediately on starting it the first time, I connected a SSD to the laptop via a USB cable and used imaging software to drive provided by Samsung to the HARD whole to the new/empty SSD disk image.

Returned & replaced the HDD SSD w / in 1 Bay drive, followed by placing the original HARD drive (but now secondary) in the 2 Bay drive.

I wanted to re - map the 'My Documents' folder on the SSD to store files in this folder on the secondary HARD drive, so I remapped this ("c:\users\Brad\Documents") folder to point to 'f:\users\Brad\Documents' instead.

"So move on, for some reason, when I go to the desktop search item and try, for example, to search for"Remove Apps", which translates by he find something like"Uninstalling apps to save hard drive space"or something like that, and I click on uninstall apps to save hard disk space", I get a message similar to the following :

    [Window title]
    C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Packages\windows.immersivecontrolpanelcw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Indexed\Settings\en-US\Classic{4026492f-2f69-46b8-b9bf-5654fc07e423}.settingcontent-ms
    [Content]
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

I'm not sitting on my laptop right now, but I found the info. top online and there are very close to the error msg. I get, except that instead of "c:\Users\bmccollum\AppData\...". ", the title of the GMS. I get begins with "f:\Users\bmccollum\AppData\...". ». I don't remember remapping anywhere at all outside the location of 'My Documents', then why is this research activity trying to seek the "AppData" folder on my hard drive secondary now?

This same error msg occurs when I am looking for another couple of points, but above all what I find and click work.

For two items that I seek and I click on the element are, and I get this error message, if I go to the elements of the "long way" but just clicking 'Control Panel' or anything else and keep them on the street from there, items open fine, it's just when I try to click on a few items after that I looked for something they are not w / the same error msg from above.

I searched around online and have tried the trick of "rebuild indexes" and this seems to fix errors related to research for just a little, then a few minutes later I can look for the same thing that was previously the 'Immersive Control Panel' error and bam, it is back again with this similar to one already mentioned msg.

Something seems to be pointing to "AppData" being on my drive 'f' (secondary) when I don't think I moved anything but my "my documents" of primary transmission 'c' to secondary drive "f".

I'm quite lost. Any other ideas on what may be the cause/solution for this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey @zildjian ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are having problems with the paths to files on your Envy laptop.

The most important thing here is that looks like you have cloned the drive, but not the format of the original HARD disk. This will cause a plethora of problems because you now have 2 boot managers and repositories of operating system file. Windows will have a fit over this.

I suggest copy important information from the HARD drive to an external drive or for SSD and formatting the drive. This will wipe the Windows installation and free up additional space. From there, you can create a Documents folder and map the folder accordingly.

You remap F:\Users\Brad\Documents by adding it to the document library or did you use the move feature tab in the properties of the Documents folder location?

Please try the original function of HARD drive and test development shaped.
