Wireless Deskjet 3520 on broad-band fiber

Hello friends,

Currently I have my Deskjet 3520 multifunction wireless installed on my home network, (a laptop and a Deskjet) and am upgrading to a facility broadband fiber this Monday, July 8.

The upgrade will involve the use of a new brand high-speed fiber modem/router, and I would like to know if I have to completely reinstall my all-in-one Deskjet 3520 to establish a wireless network between my Deskjet and laptop (Windows 7 OS), or can I skip some steps in the manual for the installation of the Deskjet printer?

Any guidance would be appreciated. I look forward to your responses.

Thank you!

In theory, if you give your new network (router) namesake exact network (SSID), type of encryption (WPA, WPA2, etc.) and password for the printer should re - connect without problem.  If none of this is even the slightest different you will need to re-install the printer.

If you use Windows, you will need to go to start > all programs > HP > [your printer model] > IP update.  If you use a Mac, of course, there will be no such problems.

Hello... I bought and installed my deskjet 3520 on my wireless network and 2 laptops about 1 week ago.

Everything was fine but then a PC started refusing to connect to the network.

Technical support to the Belkin unhooked all the network and uninstalled everything... then reconfigured a new wireless network. Call Net2.

Access both the web very well on Net2 PC but the printer connects is no longer makes sense if he still thinks I'm on Net1.

So... the question is... What is the best way to get the 3520 to be accessible on Net2 on BOTH computers.

  • HP Deskjet 3520: Wireless connection

Recently, I changed my wifi network in my house and found that the printer cannot connect or recognize the new wifi network. I tried the reset of the printer to its default settings and turning the router and the printer power off and power on. I do not have a USB however, so this isn't an option for me.
I am extremely confused with the way the printer is supposed to identify the wireless network and how I'm supposed to connect to another or where I'm supposed to type the password for the network.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Hi @Jillianne16,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you can not connect your HP Deskjet 3520 to your new wireless network. I'm happy to help you with this problem of connection!

    A few questions for you:

    1. What operating system do you use? If you do not know the operating system you are using, please visit this site. Whatsmyos.
    2. You are able to print a test page with your printer? Video: print a Test Page-HP Deskjet 3520 e-all-in-one printer. (That way we know that material the printer works properly.

In the meantime, please see this message, How to connect a USB-wireless printer to a wireless network without PC, by @jason_h. If you do not have an iPad as indicated in this message, using your computer, open a web browser (for example, Firefox, Google Chrome etc.) and put the IP mentioned in this post in the address bar of the web browser. Then continue with the instructions in this post.

Otherwise, if this post does not help to connect, I would very get a USB 2.0 printer cable at a local store. Once you have the cable, you can connect temporarily to your computer and convert a USB connection to a wireless connection, what could be easier.

Hope this post will help and hope to hear from you soon!

  • Deskjet 3520 wireless configuration

I have a new Deskjet 3520 all in one and I'm trying to get the ity configuration. I have the Mavericks 10.9.2. I downloaded the software and drivers on the HP site. I installed the software successfully and the HP utility has started, but it's stuck on the first step in trying to find the printer. It has been tried for almost an hour.

Instructions on the HP site say to use "Auto Connect Wireless HP", but this isn't an option.

Can I configure the device manually? The printer itself doesn't have an IP address, and the wireless light flashes. This configuration does not work why?

Instructions on the HP site for my printer and operating system did not work, so I had to connect via USB to set up wireless printing. Who succeeded. So for someone else with this configuration, trying to follow the instructions from HP I suggest just connect via USB temporarily.

  • HP Deskjet 3520 cannot print wireless!

    Hello

just bought a HP Deskjet 3520, but it cannot print wireless!

the printer is properly configured and connected to my wireless network, I ran a page of test result of wireless network and all results are pass.  but when I tried to print somethings of my 64-bit Windows 7 notebook, which is connected to the same wireless network, the print job is broken.  I also tried to open the built-in Web server, but did not as well.  It cannot display the EWS page.

I don't really know what went wrong, please kindly help me provide information to solve these problems.  Thank you very much.

Digitization is when you can place the paper on the glass and the SCANNER to the computer. The document that was on the screen of the printer, is now available on the computer. Who is scanning.

You could also click the icon of the printer (Solution Center) on the computer. Choose Scan of the computer.

  • DeskJet 3520 cannot connect to the internet

I bought a new Deskjet 3520.  I set it up on the wireless network, and everything seems fine.  However, as I'm trying to implement Web Services, he told me always impossible to connect to the internet, it does not say why.  I have the correct key in place, and everything else on the wireless can connect to the internet.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled software... rebooted the router, restarted the printer, still no go.

I understand that you are not able to connect to web services.  I would follow the steps below.

    1. get the IP address of your printer.

    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.

    3. Select the tab network at the top of the page.

    4. on the left, select network.

    5. Select Network (IP) address

    6. select manual DNS server

    a. manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8

    b. alternate DNS server should read. 8.8.4.4

    7. Select apply you could get a fair warning select OK.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hi rubyjim,

Thank you for the additional information.  I was very surprised to see the number of disconnects the printer has had in the last 24 hours.

According to the information provided, I'm surmising that you stopped in step: evaluate the wireless network Test page according to the wireless network Test page you are correctly connected to your network.  In this step you ask to change the change to your wireless router, you please begin at this stage and test wireless printing?    If you are unable to print please continue with the remaining steps.  For ease of reference, I have included a list of the document printer does not maintain the wireless connection again.

Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Deskjet 3520)

  • DeskJet 3520 all-in-one does not print anything

I have a 3520 Deskjet all in one printer model #SNPRH - 1102.  It is connected wireless to a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC.  It is currently running Windows 7 Home Premium, and the system is 64-bit.  The printer is 2 years old and had been well until what a few months there working.  The warranty has expired.  Whenever I sent something to the printer, it seems it's going to print, but then he spits just blank pages.  I checked the cartridges of ink and even that she replaced with new ones (HP cartridges) but that did not help.  I made sure that there are no blockages in the cartridges, went through the cleaning process and still nothing.  It allows to print the internal test pages, but it is not scanner and re - print the test page.  I can't even make copies on this subject.

I used all kinds of HP, troubleshooting, the doctor print and scan; I checked to make sure that it is connected to the network; I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer; I have updated software recommended by HP, uninstalled and reinstalled the software.  I also did troubleshooting of Windows and the only thing it came with was that Microsoft Teredo Tunneling adapter has a driver problem.   That this has something to do with the printer?

I don't know what else to do.  Is the printer just trashed or is there a way to get it going again?  Maybe I just need to start over completely; I'm totally frustrated!  I hope I did everything correctly, but I'm not super tech savy, so any help would be greatly appreciated.  I can't really afford to get a new printer now.

    Thank you

Print head of the Deskjet 3520 is not removable, a printer of replacement would be necessary. Even with the printhead being out of warranty, pay a replacement is available if you contact HP Technical Support team. It would be interesting to look into the options available for your printer.

  • HP Deskjet 3520: My HP Deskjet 3520 won't print black after replacing the cartridge

I just replaced all my ink cartridges in my HP DESKJET 3520 printer (it's wireless).  It prints fine colour, but not black.  I tried to clean the print head, align the cartridges, check the intake on the cartridges.  I have also just opened another black cartridge, thinking maybe my new was defective.  So now, I've just lost a cartridge.

so frustrated! My printer is more than a year now.  So not guaranteed.  When I click on the printer ink levels, he is grateful I have full cartridges - but is not printing in black at all.

FYI, never heard of anyone in case HP. himself seems to have resolved the day after. Now my black ink cartridge works.

  • Analyze problems with Deskjet 3520

I have a laptop HP with Windows 8 (which I'm not very familiar with) and I am trying to scan photos on a HP Deskjet 3520. I'm not in my home office but in a House with already like two MACS, one that uses the wireless Deskjet printer.

    I can print documents.

If I try to use the dialog box on the Deskjet to analyze the error message tells me to install the drivers (ILO recognized my machine)

I had could scan some photographs, driving the process of digitisation of the right click on the printer icon in the control panel option, and the Deskjet printer recognized it was connected to my laptop. However, then the dialog box on the Deskjet printer froze and since then I have not been able to scan.

    I turned both machines market.

I disabled the button on the printer wireless and only used the USB cable.

I downloaded and installed the drivers for the recognition of HP printer Deskjet software. This at least gave me the right click scan option to return (it keeps being removed from the right click menu) and the Deskjet printer makes noises of scanning. However, the dialogue froze on treatment scan. When I turned it works again, the scan option was missing in the right click menu and once more the Deskjet printer doesn't recognize my phone.

Unfortunately when I installed the drivers I had not disconnected the cable USB Deskjet.

In my home office, I have a HP printer and when I want to scan on my PC I have a HP dialog box in my Start menu that allows me to drive the scanning process from my PC, rather than the HP device. Where this dialog on my laptop?

And how can I solve this problem?

I'm reasonably IT literate but not great technique.

Please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

I recommend, updated the firmware of the printer, click here to download it.

Here is a document that I recommend that you try Scan from Windows 8 with full functionality software HP for HP Multifunction printers.

  • DeskJet 3520: Wifi password

I am trying to find my password for the wifi on my Deskjet 3520 printer.  I felt for a while and could not find records for the machine.  Is it possible to set up a new password if you do not have one, or is there a place on the printer I can find the wifi password?

The WiFi password is your network SSID password that is located in your router. You alone have the power to access your own router and check the wireless tab to see your password SSID the printer needs.
