    Hello

What is with the wireless card Intel? This card is correctly installed? As far as I know, you must install Intel Wireless LAN Card Driver V.1.1.6.0.

  • exclamation mark on Mac and Windows podcast iTunes.

I had this problem for a few days. When I try to download a podcast favorite of mine (The completely useless Podcast), on Mac and Windows, iTunes will not download any episode of the podcast. There is an exclamation point in the circles next to the podcast episodes. The podcast has played before, but now nothing plays. I also deleted the podcast on my iPod Touch 4th GEN Any suggestion would be great.

    Hello lrm864,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you fear that you see an exclamation mark next to a Podcast in iTunes.  Take a look below to see why this happens:

    Exclamation point

Next to a song: the song is not found; It may have been moved or deleted.

Next to a podcast: recent episodes have not been downloaded because you have several unplayed episodes.

  • Portege M800 - Exposed sensitive Touchkeys does not work

I am owner of the Toshiba Portege M800-105. Everything done his work. After 2 months working on it, my sensitive touchkeys exposed next to the POWER button does not work. After that I uninstalled 'Vista-value-added-package' everything works correctly. Why? Now my FN keys do not work or are disabled. Why?
Before uninstalling the package, the first button next to the power button had to function to turn off the backlight of the Logo, the touchkeys senitive one of my touchpad. NOW he cut the sound! Weired fairy if you aks me. How do I challenge my buttons up to factory settings and make function keys FN?

I reinstalled the value added package again, and have the backup problem as before: the first two buttons next to the power button does not work!
Unter the Application: Thoshiba Button supports, for the first two buttons there are no keys depositd/marked so that I can change the configuration here.
FN keys work after installation of the package, but not the sensitive keys! Please who can help me?

Value added package has small programs. One of them is the Toshiba button Support. Walker I have uninstall it everything works. When I install it, nothing works.

    Hello guys

This is really strange. I put t really know what happen on your laptops. The fact is that these buttons are controlled by the software. If I remember well he called support Button or a button control and she is part of the package of added value.

VAP contains several different tools and utilities. When you remove the VAP, it will be removed the responsible application of the functionality of FN (Flashcards), and this is the reason why the FN doesn't work anymore.

So, theoretically everything should be OK when you install PPV again. Again theoretically. Why you still have this problem I put t know and I don t believe that no one can say for sure. Maybe some registry entries are corrupted now? Who knows?

I presume that you don t want to use a more radical solution and do clean install of the new OS, but it can certainly help. With own OS pre-installed (factory settings) everything works well again.

In the end, I must say that I use Satellite U400 (similar to your Portege) almost 6 months now and all the buttons work correctly. I always use the Vista version and I n t made no changes. It works well.

  • Portege M800 - after Windows 7 upgraded FN keys no longer works

    Hello
    I upgraded my * portege M800 * bought * Canada * for * 64-bit Windows 7 *.
Everything is good except the keyboard. It's a Canadian bilingual keyboard with 86 keys with 13 function keys and a buttons on console with 6 keys (cut, cd/dvd, play, stop, previous, next).
I don't update all the drivers because it works very well with Windows 7 drivers.

    The problem is:
-function keys (Fn +..) no longer works
-the buttons of the console with 6 keys (play, pause, etc.) no longer work

    What I did:
-check the keyboard driver in Device Manager: it is a microsoft driver
-a attempted to update a driver toshiba but * he didn't find in the list of drivers for windows 7 or vista on toshiba website *: [http://support.toshiba-tie.co.jp/windows7/download/PORTEGE_M800_64_cae.htm]

So, I don't know if it's a driver problem or something else?

    Concerning

    Hey,.

These special functions of the FN keys and multimedia keys have nothing to do with the keyboard driver. There is no update driver in addition to the keyboard. There is only the Windows standard driver that can be used.

The point is that you have Toshiba Value added Package and Flash Cards Support utility. If you purchased the M800 in the Canada, I guess that it of a model Canadian and as a result, you can download all drivers here:

  • Portege M800 - Chicony Webcam does not work

I have a Portege M800 and the Camera Assistant Software simply does not work.

I upgraded my Vista 64-bit Service Pack 2, I reinstalled the driver several times and I downloaded the latest version of the Camera Assistant Software from the Web from Toshiba site and nothing worked.

I get a 'preview of no.' when I load first it and 'Graph making Fail' when I go to the video.
However, the only thing is that I know that the camera itself is very well because very rarely it will work on MSN messenger, but he has not responded to other programs.

    Please help me!

    Hello

    > The only thing however is that I know that the camera itself is very well because very rarely it will work on MSN messenger, but he has not responded to other programs.

This means that more different applications have access to this camera. Is this good?
I think that is the question!

In your case, I recommend you to disable the webcam software in msconfig-> Startup tab.
In addition, you must disable the MSN also in msconfig. The point is that only an application that uses and sharing the webcam should run in the background of the OS.
I think that this would avoid problems with other software

  • Satellite U300 - point of yellow exclamation on the Base system device

    I have a Satellite U300 PSU30E Windows XP, SP3.

After installing iTunes version 8 and after I rebooted, I get a popup that a new device has been added.
The "device wizzard" fails to locate the appropriate drivers and I get relevant messages that the appliance could not install and so on. ""
The system seems to work very well.

In Device Manager I see that, under the family of controllers IDE ATA/ATAPI devices, I have a yellow exclamation mark next to "Base system device". All devices IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers tree appear in good condition. The family tree of device is:

    -IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
    --- (!) Base system device
-Intel 8280 1HEM/HBM SATA AHCI Controller
    -Intel(r) ICH8M Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 2850
    -Main channel IDE
    -Ricoh SD/MMC Host Controller
-Ricoh xD - Picture card controller
    -Secondary IDE channel

The machine seems not disabled on any topic, but I get the 'new device' message every time I start up as well as the routine "cannot install device.

No idea what kind of device is that 'base system device' in the family of the IDE controllers?
I reinstalled the drivers of Intel chipset to no change in the status of the device.

    Thank you very much!

What happens if you remove iTunes8?
You have the same problem after that?

It is really strange, but maybe it has something to do with the upper and lower filters. The point is that if you install the CD/DVD software, they install filters in the registry that can cause compatibility problems.
So follow this work around and post your result:

  • Portege M800-107: Power Management & HDD Protection Utility questions!

    Hi all

I own a Toshiba Portege M800-107, I recently installed windows 7 (ultimate edition), which has improved the capabilities of my laptop. The only problems I see are:

    (1) the utility power management, when I install the necessary drivers on the official page of Toshiba, the problem is that the package of added value is installed without the power management. For now I have more to come the problem using power options offered by Windows 7.

    (2) the biggest problem is the HDD Protection Utility, that whenever I try to install the driver from the official site, it stops the installation with the reason that "material is not supported by this computer.

Out these problems the laptop works perfectly and quickly.

If someone could help me with my problems, I would be very much appreciated.

    > 1) utility of the power management, where I install the necessary drivers on the official page of Toshiba, the problem is that the added value package is installed without the power management. For now I have more to come the problem using power options offered by Windows 7.

There is no special tool of Power Saver for Win 7. Value added package provides a few additional options that you can find in Win 7/Vista power management.

    Check this HowTo:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=41

(> 2) the biggest problem is the HDD Protection Utility, that whenever I try to install the driver from the official site, it stops the installation with the reason that "material is not supported by this computer.

The HDD Protection Utility using the acceleration sensor built into the computer.
The point is that there are different M800 market and possibly your M800 does not support acceleration sensor. This could be the reason why you can not install this tool.

  • *. JPG Photo icons have points of exclamation in red at the bottom right of the icon.

all my jpg icons have an exclamation mark on them. don't know what that means?

You can open files - try some?  Is this the same opening program has always opened before or it changed?  Is that what the .jpg files and it is all .jpg files?  No files .gif, or .tiff files or .avi or other types of image files or video files?

What Security Suite (or anti-virus or firewall program) you are average (name and version)?

When did start?  Did you recently install new software and updates (or run scans)?  I'm trying to understand what has changed since then until this started when she started.

Frankly, my first thought is that I don't know what that means, either - but maybe answers to these questions, we can identify the cause.

In the meantime (in case this solves the problem), try a restore of the system to a point in time BEFORE the 'problem' has started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

I hope this helps, or that we get enough information to understand.

Good luck and I look forward to your response.

  • Is there anyway to debug or know what is the error when a widget displays an exclamation mark instead of the image of widget?

I have a widget that I work with, who has a picture, he uses in map mode. Sometimes, when I'm in map mode, it changes the image to a triangle with an exclamation mark inside. I have not changed the widget or anything like that. Is anyway to debug it and see why it is throwing an exception? The widget works fine when it is presented or published preview...

    Thank you.

Exclamation point will be rendered when the preview is not generated in Muse, but you can preview in the browser for a more accurate preview of the site.

    Thank you

  • Switching computers and all my folders inside lightroom have an exclamation mark

I am moving a laptop more aged to a new... so I moved all my files (not only related LR, but all my stuff) from the old computer to an external hard drive.

Here's some info to help solve the problem:

1-all my original photos have not moved or changed names... they were always in the external hard drive already

    2. in the older laptop was a folder called 'My lightroom photos' and inside was files such as: backups, my previews of photos from lightroom, the catalog itself, and some temporary files.

    3. I moved the folder described in #2 in my external hard drive and then click on the catalog to open and found that all of my folders have an exclamation mark next to them.

It seems not inappropriate that I would need to right click on a folder of LR to say where he is, because the original photos have moved. Well, I tried and then the folder disappeared from the LR instead of staying in the same place and be just good to be used (less the questions mark), so everything seems wrong.

Someone has an idea of what I can do to solve the problem?

    Thank you

    Sandra

Since you don't tell us your oeprating system, let me assume its windows and pointed out that an external hard drive can be E: on a single computer and F: on another, and so Lightroom think that photos have moved. If its E: on both computers, then you wouldn't have this problem. You can ask Windows to the letter of the drive to return to what it was on the old computer.

Your file is not missing. If you have followed the procedure (sounds like you did), then instead of looking for the file (to continue the example above) your drive E: in Lightroom, it's gone, but found in the F: drive because you say Lightroom to get these pictures on the F: drive.
