  I buy a propeller for more use in Africa. I'm curious if the included modem works on the bands out there. There is not much details given on the order page. The country that I will use the GSM 900 frequency band. I'm guessing that their 3G networks could be on a different band?

  In any case, any ideas if the mobile broadband modem will work abroad?

  My modem is not locked to any medium.

  Just be very careful, if you buy a non 3G model, it will probably have the WWAN antenna and no slot for sim card. And then you can buy a Lenovo modem, otherwise it will not work if it is not on the whitelist.

  I could call a sales representative in the United States and see if you can buy a version with unlocked modem.

• Portege M800 - WLan not found after installing Win XP

  I recently "downgraded" my M800 ppM80A - 03H 009 to XP, everything worked fine except the wireless no longer works. "."
  I installed the PROset utility it gives the message "State of adapter not found in the registry.
  The Device Manager gives the yellow exclamation and error (Code 10).

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers from the Toshiba site.
  I ran System Mechanic to check the registry problems.

  I searched the internet for similar cases and it seems that this happens to more people using Win XP. It s is not serious what laptop you have looks like Win XP question with respect to certain wireless network cards
  However, I ve had Win XP and Intel WLan card and never had such problems.

  Here's my recommendation;
  -Go to the Device Manager and remove the WLan card in device list (press DELETE)
  -Download CCLeaner (free tool) and clean the registry
  -Visit Toshiba WLan portal and download the latest version of the driver for the wireless network card: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/
  -Restart the device and then install the driver Wlan card.

  It's really not easy to say what can be the problem. All that you have done is just. It is also possible that some application like Dialer block modem. Try to scan the HARD drive or try to find if any virus or any other application blocks the modem port.

  My Portege is Z30 - A - 13 H and works on 8.1 64-bit windows. I just bought 2 weeks ago. It worked great with my 3g card. Today, it suddenly started does not work. I checked with the GSM operator, everthing is fine, the card works. I reinstalled the driver LTE of Sierra. Yet the laptop says "insert sim", even though the sim card is already in the laptop.

  Can it be related to windows updates? Can you help me please?

  I don't have this machine and cannot check it out, but have you tried to roll back the OS to an earlier time to check if unit will work properly again.
  Do please use System Restore tool. I hope this will fix the problem described.

  By the way: for any piece of hardware on your computer, use drivers Toshiba that even if some updates are available through optional updates of Windows.

  I have a Portege M800 which runs on Vista. I got it 6 months ago. Everything works well except now when I tried to play a DVD, he did not play.   Try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
  When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.

  (1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
  2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
  (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
  (4) restart.

  If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).

  Hello, I have the same problem, I used the Dell Mobile Broadband utility and run the self diagnostic, and the result was down: HardwareTest. I guess that the unit is not installed or not connected to the motherboard. How can I activate this device? There must be a setting in the BIOS, or something is not pluged in correctly for this laptop. also, mine is a Latitude E6410 with Win7.

  I installed the laptop with the Original CD recovery with Win 7-64 bit - all works well but if I press FN - F8 I only activated wireless and Bluetooth but noch Mobile Internet Modem Mobile Broadband is not displayed in the hardware Manager.

  First of all, as a new user, I want to apologize if some of my difficulties have already explored in some other threads, although I searched and not found.

  I bought a Toshiba Portege R600 - 12 H with Windows 7 Professional.

  Currently I have 3 problems:
