Portege Z10t - A PT132A goes to sleep after 60 seconds of noninteraction

Portege Z10t-A PT132A-00F00T

My Tablet continues to go to sleep after about 60 seconds of noninteraction.
I can watch youtube, read, listen to music... etc and after about 60 seconds of me not to touch the display turns on outside and all the audio and video stop.
As soon as I touch the screen it wakes up again.

I was in the power options and retouched for the power supply and battery.
I put Sun/Eve forever to the two options as a test, but still it does.

I missed a place where it is defined elsewhere?
Very annoying

Thank you

Hello

Is it in laptop mode when Toshiba keyboard Dock is fixed or in tablet mode only?
Is it if the adapter is connected or only when the adapter is removed?

The computer will automatically mode 'sleep' according to the sin of setting power options. To access this click
Office-> Office help-> Control Panel-> system and security-> power options options
(or Win key + X-> power options)

Here you should find the option called display auto power OFF
This feature automatically cuts off the power to the screen when there is no input of keyboard for a while

You can also see the hybrid sleep feature that appears also in Power Options.

In addition, I recommend check you the settings of Intel Display Power Saving technology.
This feature is enabled by default and controls the current consumption b< optimizing="" the="" picture="" contrast="" and="" internal="" lcd.="" this="" can="" be="" used="" if="" notebook="" is="" running="" in="" battery="" mode="" and="" using="" the="" internal="" lcd="" display="">

To access this feature, he must right click on the desktop, and then click graphics properties
-> Select battery from the drop-down list in the power source, and then click Power.
Then, clear the checkbox display energy saving technology and lick OK.

When I go into Control Panel control/Performance and Maintenance/Power Options, it tells me to go to the Toshiba power management to change the settings, but I still see the parameters in grey indicating the standby time of 15 minutes.

    Hello

The fact is that if Toshiba energy saving is installed on the laptop Toshiba, the Microsoft OS power management doesn't work. You must use the Toshiba power saver to change settings.
In power save you will find different modes.
If the power supply is on if you need to change the power mode in the power section. Here, you simply mark the mode full power and click for details.
You can now find mode properties. Select the Power Saver tab.
You will find various controls that are responsible for different functions. Change the settings on the standby system controller.

  • Computer goes into sleep within 30 seconds

Original title: locked user switch user pc goes to sleep all by it, itself. Any ideas?

This happened just after the last day of 19/05/2013 was 14 things up to date. In addition, the flash player update at the same time.

After the reboot, that everything went haywire, I did a system restore, it didn't work, then I did a clean reboot that fixed a number of things.

but now, this THING is going to sleep in 30 seconds, I can't seem to fix it. Change username appears when I click on locked user!

If I had hair I would be taking it out. Laughing out loud

    Ideas, I grow more full!

I don't know what windows and aps section it was under.

PS The PC was built for the games for the most part, if that helps

    Hey, Downey,.

If you could answer these questions in order to better understand the issue, it would be hel.

-You have power plans set up on the computer? (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/change-create-or-delete-a-power-plan-scheme)

-With regard to the user switch arise, where exactly are click you?

-How many user accounts you have on your computer?

-You see a symbol of lock next to the stop button in the start menu? (See http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows/which-operating-system for current system is installed on the computer.)

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try and let us know the result.

  • Windows 8 Pro will sleep after 60 seconds of inactivity

I just upgraded via a clean install of Windows 8 Pro. Now, the computer to standby / sleep after 60 seconds of inactivity. Interestingly, this problem occurs only once the machine has already gone to sleep once in this feeding cycle. In other words, if I start from a cold, start the machine will follow the diet plan appropriate (screensaver after 10 minutes, sleep after 2 hours) until what he went to sleep once, after which it will go to sleep every 60 seconds of inactivity.

The system event log indicates "42 Kernel Power event: the system between sleep.". Reason to sleep: System Idle. "But it does after one minute of inactivity.

I have reset all electrical energy plans, I created my own power management. Hybrid sleep is turned off. I have run the checker (sfc/scannow) system files and I've searched the forums largely unanswered.
It is a customized desktop machine never had this problem on Windows 7, this is a new behavior for windows 8.

So, after a lot of digging and try a lot of things, the solution below worked for me. But if someone can verify it worked for them, that would be great:

It seems that maybe Windows to view the return of sleep as a remote activation which apparently expires to slow more quickly than the other wake ups. To change this feature, delete the following registry key: (perhaps using the power button to go back to sleep as suggested would be a work-around?)
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\238C9FA8-0AAD-41ED-83F4-97BE242C8F20\7bc4a2f9-d8fc-4469-B07B-33eb785aaca0\DefaultPowerSchemeValues
To do this, Win Key + R (displays the run menu), and then type "regedit.exe" and navigate to the location of the key above. For more security, you need to save (export) this key before you delete it.
Alternatively, you can change each of the secondary keys instead of remove them. Each corresponds to one of the power management. If you choose ACSettings you choose a behavior for when the machine is connected, the DCSettings are for the battery power. If you change the key switch 'decimal' value is in seconds and can be changed to any value you choose.

  • HP 2009v: monitor going to sleep after connecting to a new PC

My parents have an old pc (HP Pavilion g3770l) that runs on windows XP and a relatively old monitor (HP 2009v). They work perfectly fine, but since his Win XP in most applications no longer work and is not fast enough to support new BONE. So I bought a new PC (HP 8200 Elite SFF) with win 7 pro 64-bit installed.

But when I plug in the monitor to the new PC, I get the message "monitor going to sleep" and the monitor turns off. PC turns. (I can hear the windows startup sound etc.). I tried the menu on the screen to change settings etc but it does not allow me to do. It just goes to sleep.

Combination of old monitor old pc still works.

Please help it was supposed to be a Christmas gift.

This unit may have many configurations, but is it possible that there is more to a port monitor (video output) and that the monitor is connected to happens to be inactive?  This can happen if the camera has built-in graphics card and also a video card is installed.

You can try to set the screen saver to zero and check if it solves your problem. You can also try to disable this program that displays the video by looking at msconfig under Startup.

    Hello

I m wondering if the option (in BIOS) called Wake-Up on the keyboard is turned on.
To restore the functioning of the computer from sleep mode, press the power button or any key on the dock of the keyboard for a short period of time. But the keys on the keyboard can be used if the option is enabled.

Note: when the laptop is in Sleep Mode, the power indicator of will blink white. If the light flashes white, the computer laptop isn t set mode sleep!

  • Help me, someone! PC goes to sleep after a couple minutes of inactivity

My PC can accommodate every minute or so when idle.  I don't how this is possible, I use the plan "Balanced" with the default values (standby after 30 minutes).   It's very annoying to have to log in every minute or two.  I read on the internet that this is a problem for other brands of PC and laptops as well.  Is there a solution or a fix that resolves this problem?  I tried to reboot, reset default and more.

    Hi imadreamkeeper2,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your computer turns permanently on standby every 2 minutes, and I'd love to help you!

The first thing I'm going to propose is to disable the screensaver on your desktop. To do this, please follow this document on how to enable or disable the screen saver. Similar to Windows 7, Windows 8 If you click on the Windows of your keyboard key, you will be able to tap on "Screen saver" and allow the necessary changes.

The next step is to restore the default power on your all-in-one. To do this, please follow this document under the terms of the STEP 8, the resolution of a dispute with the sleep and hibernation (Windows 8) Modes.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your response!

  • Monitor goes to sleep after five Minutes

My Dell desktop computer running Windows 7 32-bit and worked great for a long time.  Now, my monitor falls every five minutes no matter what the power of sleep plan I select or what setting the time, I chose in the power management plan.  I put it to "never" in the three plans, 'Balanced', 'High Performance' or 'Power Saving' I even made a custom power plan and named monitor never sleeps.  I made no changes to my computer.  Just, it started doing this thing last week and no matter what I I can not avoid it, which is aggravating when you watch videos or play games that require no movement of the mouse or keyboard inputs.

My graphics card is a NVIDIA Quadro FX3450.  Large map.  I even tried to disable the NView Desktop Manager.  Nothing changes on or off.  I even went into the bios and checked everything in power options.  I even tried to disconnect one of the Dell monitors I use dual monitor mode.  Doesn't change anything.

Eventually, it could be the Microsoft update in option I downloaded and installed as an optional update a couple of weeks?

I'm stumped on this one and could use other ideas.

    Hello

    Please contact the Microsoft community

I would suggest some troubleshooting steps check if works or not

1 = update the latest version of the BIOS of your official supplier Web site system
2 - Uninstiall and reinstall all the graphics driver and check
3 = try Exchange another monitor (if you have)
4 = reset All to default power plan
5 = try system restore or recovery, if it is preloaded OS
6 = chipset Driver Update and newer power management

  • ColdFusion 11 goes mode sleep after a period of inactivity?

I just installed CF11 on my cloud Server (running Windows Server 2008 R2) to a cart shopping using SQL Express Edition application in the backend. After a period of inactivity, especially every morning, when I go into my app, it clocks for subject a minute then - error. Finally, after another chance, I'm able to run my application but it is slow for another couple clicks, then it is back to normal.

I've been running this app on an older version of CF for almost ten years (I just upgraded to CF11 last month) and this problem never happened during this period. Can you give us advice on how I can solve this problem?

Try ColdFusion Charlie Arehart Consulting Services.  He is also quite active here on the forums (mainly in the community of the ColdFusion Server Administration ).

I assume you mean that you have checked your Power Options settings in the control panel?

Have you tried clicking on a blank spot on the desktop screen and selecting Customize? From there look "Screen saver" settings at the bottom. It can be set to "empty" with a time of 1 minute.

How can I fix this please?

    Hello

Open windows control panel, open personalization, click on the link of the screensaver at the bottom right and in the next window, set the 'Wait' time to 15 minutes and Remove the tick in the box next to "in»the logon screen curriculum vitae  Click on apply, then Ok to save the setting.

Then again open windows control panel, open Power Options, click Change settings next to your currently selected diet plan plan and set the time to "turn off screen" (for the battery and Plugged In) to 20 minutes.  In addition, set the time to "Put the computer to sleep" (again, in two areas) to you will find more acceptable as long as values that you set values is more than 20 minutes (or you can set one or two boxes forever to prevent sleep in total).  Once finished, click on the button Save changes to keep these new values.

    Kind regards
