  Next to the VAP (value added package) you need to install the Flash Utility card support!
  Card Flash utility support controls the keys FN and not the VAP! But VAP is also needed.

  Hello.
  I'm new to this forum, so I hope I tried before posting here.
  I have a problem with the FN key. It no longer works. The flash card is enabled, does not alter, but the taskbar on top with all the function keys do not seem more when I press the FN. However some functions still work, like FN + F1 (to lock the pc) or FN + ESC (to toggle the volume). Other combinations don't work, especially that more important to me FN + F8 (toggle wifi...).
  I looked for a solution on the web, apparently it's a well known problem in many computers, but I can't find a solution for Toshiba.
  Any suggestion please?

  Try a system reset. Turn off the computer. Remove all attachments and battery. Press and hold the power for 15 seconds. Attach the power and insert the battery and restart the computer. Press the F2 key when you see the Toshiba splash screen to enter Setup. Press F9 to reset the default values. Press F10 to save the changes and exit. Answer Yes to a full reset. Computer will restart. It worked for me.

  The Intel HD graphics card appears under the category of display cards in Device Manager or a Standard VGA adapter is displayed.

  Normally when the brightness of the screen is stuck on max and you cannot change it,'re missing you the driver from the chipset, the graphics driver, or both.

  Make sure that you have installed the Intel chipset installation and restart utility as well as the Intel HD graphics driver.

  but after that, the function keys, volume, brightness, key FN and even the backlight does not work anymore!

  The problem is that U920T satellite is not listed as Win 10 support unit and, therefore, drivers earn 10 Toshiba and software that controls the FN keys is not released.
  But as far as I know using the FN keys, system of Toshiba and the Support of Flash Card Utility driver must be installed.

  For all Toshiba units win 10 supported, the drivers can be downloaded from this page:

  Maybe you can try the drivers released for other models of portable Win 10 supported...
  I'm not sure if the software will be compatible with your model of U920T, but its certainly worth a try...

• Portege Z930 - display driver does not work properly

  We have a Portege Z930 with Windows 7 64 bit in use where the Intel display driver seem to work fine.

  First problem is the slow presentation on screen - if we open a (simple JPG) photo and move the window, the frame window break during the move and showed very weird.

  Then, we have installed a U3.0 dynadock docking for the use of two external displays more. This method works even worse. To the docking station, we used the driver from the CD supplied in the delivery and connect to a USB 3.0 connector.

  On starting switching on 2 screens instead of internally for computer laptop screen does not work - and we use workaround of using an extended desktop on all 3 displays (2 external and internal display for laptop as the third).

  In Internet Explorer, it should turn off GPU Rendering and use Software Rendering rather because otherwise, we observed critical irregularities on the external screens (with 2 Windows Open the screen froze or could not display Windows Mobile). However the display isn't satisfactioning.

  We have tried 3 different versions of the recommended Driver Intel which is also offered by Toshiba to download; We loaded it is there and also 2 versions more (a more recent, one older) Intel directly.

  So, how can we get this working properly?

  More importantly. Make sure you have Service Pack 1 installed Win7. New laptops have problems running in win7 RTM (without service pack).

  It seems that Windows uses the standard VGA driver instead of the Intel driver. Uninstall all display drivers from Control Panel-> programs and features and then go to the Toshiba website and install the utility Intel Chipset then the Intel display driver, then go to DisplayLink.com and install the latest DisplayLink driver for the dynadock. The new software v7.xx DisplayLink driver fixes several issues found in v6.xx drivers.

  Verify that the Intel drivers are installed properly in Device Manager.

My problem is that the function key to enable the wireless Radio does not work. I checked the lock feature. The other function keys are marked as well function. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver hotkey as well as the wireless driver and I still can't work.

  According to the request, you have problem with Wifi function key for your ThinkPad T540p.

  Please check with BIOS update and then install the shortcut function keyboard with Lenovo power management driver.

  Well that does not explain why your f2/f3 keys do not work as you have only the Microsoft base driver installed - if the Intel driver has already been installed Ok, this may indicate a hardware problem.

  What happens if you try to install the Intel HD 5500 driver directly from Intel - it's the 2nd file in the list on the following link.

  If it installs Ok, reboot the laptop and let Windows fully load for a few minutes before checking it in.
