I tried to post a coupon on xianet and my computer has been taken over by a Trojan horse. My report says: Win32/fakeSysDef. He directs me to a data recovery site that charges $75 to solve the problem. No idea how to do to remove the Trojan horse?

Microsoft support addressed my problem and Javier took control of it and solved the problem.

It has been pretty smooth how I got the Trojan horse. When I tried to display a coupon, a dialog box came asking if I wanted to download a software. I clicked 'Cancel' and this is meant to 'run '. That's when all this started.

    Thanks for help.

    Hey,.

I searched a bit using Google and it seems to be the false positive. Only Superantispyware is showing this Trojan horse, but all other virus scanners do not show any alarm.

Also this .exe file is already included in the image of recovery if she s no virus or Trojan horse.

Don t you worry about this, everything is ok with your laptop!

  • Equium L40 very slow and Windows Defender found a Trojan horse

I was wondering if you could help me with a situation.

Turned my laptop on and Windows Defender found a Trojan, so I chose all clear. Then it arrived 5 minutes later and I pressed on delete everything again.

Afterwards my internet is incredibly slow and often freezing.
Opening files and folders often locked up but I could still click on the red X if it took 30 seconds to close after that I clicked on the X.

I get now random pop ups not even on the internet.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    Hi Kieran

Have you tried different antivirus software?
I would recommend this. I use a software called Antivir freeware antivirus and it is nice.
It of free and you can download it from various internet sites.

In addition, you could use an Ad-aware to kill this Trojan horse. It of also for free and maybe it could be useful too.
Google just to download it for free.

If you won't be able to remove the virus from your system by using programs like Antivir, antivirus Norton antivirus, etc. and then use your Toshiba Recovery CD.

    I think this should help.

    Good bye

My AVG antivirus has identified infection Trojan horse on my Dell XP laptop.

The process name is C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe (4436).
When I click on the 'remove selected' button nothing happens, but on details page, it says that the infection is not removed or repaired.

What I have to do more to get rid of or AVG has done everything?

You posted on a forum for anti-malware for Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) program.

Since you are using AVG as your provider of anti-malware, Protocol dictates that we refer you to the Support AVG security issues: http://free.avg.com/us-en/support

  • In XP Trojan horse Virus problems

Two weeks ago, my computer became infected with a trojan virus.  I started having problems with hidden files to become and then has to connect to my AT & T Yahoo email account.  A tech AT & T ran a sort of diary on my computer and said that the problem was a Trojan horse.  I then reinstalled my OS (XP SP3) but soon had the same problem with the files become hidden.  These have been discovered when I ran my Avira anti-virus free progr.  Since then, I have probably reinstalled my OS 4 times more and almost immediately to have the same problem with hidden files.  When you run Avira, I would get the following error message: "one or more hidden objects that indicate a hidden virus or unwanted program found."  Because of this message, Avira would never execute the search.

In addition to Avira, I also run Windows Defender, Malware Anti-Malware and Super Anti-Virus Free Edition.  I usually run 2 of these programs every day.  When I reinstall my operating system, I always install the same software (most who are on an external hard drive) I have always used.  File types that are hidden are: Application Data models, send to, the local settings and Config.Msi.  Yesterday, I tried to show all the files I could find (this time there were about 12), but when I ran Avira I got the same error message indicating that there is more hidden files.

Read the other questions previously posted and answered about a trojan virus infect a XP system, I uninstalled Avira and installed Windows Security Essentials.  However, no threats were detected during a scan.  I also downloaded Vipre Internet Security and just now completed a deep analysis, even when no threats were detected.

I have to admit that I'm a little computer illiterate, but is there anything else I could try to fix this other than to reinstall my operating system once more?  Is there a log I could run to determine what program this is what keeps infecting my computer?  Also, should I break down and buy an anti-virus program rather than use a free?

    Help! Help! Help!
    Steven

A big thank you to all who gave advice.  Before I got your answers, I decided to reinstall my operating system once more as I have had problems with a program that ran for many years.  Patience isn't one of my virtues.  After reinstalling all my programs, I ran Avira and again received the following error message: "one or more hidden objects that indicate a hidden virus or unwanted program found."

Daavee mentioned in his reply that the file types, I mentioned in my original question are supposed to be hidden.  However, I wonder why Avira thinks that these hidden files are potential viruses.  Also, since I have never hidden their in the first place, how they became hidden?  I always show everybody I find, but somehow they always becomes hidden again.  What causes this?

I took the advice of AndreasAnaya and uninstalled all my programs except Defender antivirus and installed Avast.  The anti-spyware and anti-malware the same as antivirus?  I do not, but uninstalled Super Anti-Spyware and Malware Anti-Malware as Avira before installing Avast.

I just ran Avast and no virus was found.  However, he found two errors; "Has reached the end of the file."  I don't know what that means.  I tried to remove chest as instructed by Andreas but when I clicked on the chest, nothing was there.

If all goes well, by deleting my previous operating system before installing it again (as indicated by Andreas), a virus has been removed.  Once again, thank you for all the advice!  I hope that all my problems were solved!

-What is the email client that you use?

I recommend you change the password for the account immediately.

If you use Hotmail, post your request in the forum Hotmail for the best advice.
  • I opened a FACEBOOK account, and now my hotmail contact list everything is used to send a Trojan horse.

I have this undelieverd more of 30 e-mail that link that contains a Trojan horse. These have been posted because some stole my hotmail contacts list and mailed these stars in my name.

I realize, this is a free account, but there should be a way to prevent this from happening. I know he stole because I used only one of the contacts yesterday and I accidentally misspelled the address and did not notice that the mail bounced.

This is not only annoying, but a major concern for me because I use internet to Social Affairs and to promote my books.

  • D drive list almost complete, but after a Trojan horse, I can't access

I had a Trojan horse? Used the recovery disk, but nearly full showing D drive and I can not access data on this subject. Cleaning disc has 0 bytes. Files / photos shows empty. How to recover my D drive or D drive data or clean the files it contains? I can't drive D. help, please.

This is / was your system recovery disk!  You shouldn't put anything here and just left alone.  Now the problem is a bit more complicated because we don't want to do damage for retrieving information stored there.  You must contact the technical assistance of the manufacturer of the computer service and know how to undo what you did on the recovery Partition.  We know nothing about them were leaving recovery or processes as they vary from a constructor (and have been created by the manufacturer and not Microsoft) and we don't have access to this information.  Only they can help you recover recovery information (you probably somehow helping move everything you moved it).

I'm sorry, we can not be more useful, but because it is the recovery partition, you have to manage with the manufacturer of this problem.

    Good luck!

Laptop Toshiba Satellite L755-S5154 of Windows 7, Internet Explorer 9.

While routine to surf on a notice that came, I had a Trojan horse on my computer. I clicked on the window closed only to have another, and then another came with a variety of messages. This lasted about 2-3 minutes until I was asked to buy something for $89.95. Has always tried to get rid of all the widows and the pop ups.  Finally, I turned off the computer. Lit it back after about an hour. All my stuff maintenance, disk cleanup, defragmentation, cache emptied. Ran my program from McAfee full scan and it says everything is fine.  Went to control panel, clicked on the system... Security, clicked on the performance review system, in respect of the security, it had 'Centre Security Windows Service' turned power off. Click turn on now... got a window stating "Windows Security Center cant' began to be."

Went to 'View performance Info' > advanced tools > view advanced system information about system performance. "Copied the two reports in this region: information Sysem - system... then... the information system drivers - (?) can't find him. But there the following headers:

NAME... DESCRIPTION... FILE... TYPE OF... SAID... STARTUP MODE... STATE... STATE OF... ERROR CONNECT... ACCEPT THE PA... ACCEPT the STAT... send two reports if you want me to.

While my computer is doing now?  It intermittently has what sounds are a radio station of the Mexico that sometimes music, talking sometimes and lively discussions sometimes. (In Spanish, of course). It's a Trojan horse? It is certainly annoying. And why I can't launch the Windows Security Center Service? Don't know what it is or where it is. Thought I had McAfee (I think this is unnecessary).  Do not trust any of them anyway. If something or someone wants to take my computer, they will get in it. They know that I am stupid, old and vulnerable. So if you can help with some plain language solutions, I'd appreciate it. Hope I gave you some good info.

Another quick question: I have about 25 programs start when I turn on my computer. Much too... right? I want to eliminate this problem and have only needed to start programs. Thank you.

Theres a informative guide here - malicious software removal http://www.selectrealsecurity.com/malware-removal-guide

You guide through the steps, then request that you download some tools to run on your PC. This information should hopefully clear your PC of malicious software (if one is found).

The tools, to which it refers are programs like malwarebytes, tdss killerand others, all links included in the document.

Remember, back up your data (at a minimum, the essential must have all bookmarks in your browser and email music, documents, photos etc account information) before you start - just to be sure.

If all goes well that should clean your PC from viruses or malware. Read the first guide to ensure that you have everything you need at hand and understand what needs to be done before you start.

Once the PC looks clean, try to restart the service of security. If it still does not start, have a read of this post - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/windows-security-center-service-has-been-removed/47b55525-f0be-4434-95c3-265fbba64807

Hi again thanks for the reply that do if who ever has also hacked into my router? I did have to go online and put in place. All I had to do was plug it in and it was my old name and the network security key. I know that bad, but I think that a reason why it stops back in because he knows my routers ip, so it can be let right back in after I run a recovery. The other thing is his legal software that its use so my anti virus does not detect.

    Hi gruseb,.

  • Download Firefox contaminated by Artemis Trojan horse! B512E6316312CA8

McKafee don't let me download Firefox from the official site because of this Trojan horse. As part of the download, I also had an analysis of registry (that I didn't ask for) and a program other than the name which I forgot. is this load of shit downloaded as part of the official download of firefox, and that Artemis is really a Trojan horse? If this is the case, then the site of Firefox is not sure.

I suspect that supposed only occurs with the stub Installer Trojan horse detection.

Have you tried to download the full Offline Installer?
