power 8 pin in T3600?

I have a T3600 with 635w power supply.  I want to put a video in card that has two 8-pin power connectors.  The T3600 I has two connectors 6 pins, which come from a single connector 8 pins on the power supply Board.  Is there another cable that provides two power connectors 8 pins of the power supply Board?  Or is tinkering something or adapters kluge-y the only solution?

Each power connector 8 pins is estimated at 300Watts so jury rig something does not work.  You need a better diet or 850W.  A standard conversion takes 2 six pin and turns into a single pin 8.

Grouping of all connectors does NOT give more power supply capacity.

PCIe 3.0 is 225/300W by 8 pin connector - http://www.pcisig.com/developers/main/training_material...

The former 6-pin connectors are valued at 150W each.

  • Satellite A30 213: broken in the power supply pin

I have so many problems with this.
I'd rather put it in the trash than to fix it, but unfortunately I have important documents that I have not saved.

Basically, the PIN into the Jack of the laptop is broken and I can't be able to my laptop and my battery is running out of power

    The battery is in the battery-compatible A30 - 213 in the A30 714?

    And someone has other solutions?

Please answer as soon as possible

    Hello

First of all a few words about the battery.
If I m not wrong not the Satellite A30 213 uses the same battery as the A30-714.
Therefore, you should be able to use the same battery in both units A30.

With regard to the question on another solution.
Well, there is only one real solution. The power supply needs to be replaced.
I m not sure if it s only plugged or soldered on the map. However, I recommend you contact the ASP in your country for assistance.
This should be always replaced by a mobile technician because the dismantling procedure is very delicate and difficult.

    Best regards and good luck

  • replacement of power 4 pin din power for RN104

    Hello

The power adapter that came with it recently resumed a ReadyNAS RN104 opportunity, does not remain in the ReadyNAS unless you really push. The ReadyNAS works great however, I would get another PSU. Would be a generic 4 pin din power supply with the same power specifications work? or Netgear do something special with the pinout on their connector?

    Thank you.

    Hi falconyt,

Yes, a similar diet with the same characteristics would. Pins or connector is different where the product is released or sold.

  • Z600: HP Z600 Power suply graphics card

Hello... I have a worksation z600 and I need to change my graphics card because it is old (fx 1700) with a GTX 760... it is possible advertising this graphics card?   Power suply z600 is 650 watt power supply custom and have electric 6 one connector and this card need a 8 pin connector. Thank you!

I run a GTX 760 in a xw6600 very well, and yours is more modern and more high powered workstation.  The convention's 75 watts upward in the PCIe x 16 location map it is plugged, so the adapter 8 pin really didn't need to carry a lot more power in your card.

These mid range HP workstations have usually a single standard dedicated 6-pin PCIe supplementary power coming from the HP power supply for high power card cable, and there is some 6 to 8 pin adapters that might be very good, but I did get a two molex 4 pin for a PCIe 8 extra power adapter pin and connected on two of the outlets available 4-pin molex all intended to feed higher optical drives.  These superior have been power connectors 4 pin molex and the lower ones have been SATA power connectors.  There are SATA for power adapters molex you can get if you want to tap into both the upper and lower "tracks".

From my reading, these workstations HP have usually three main power supply rails: one cable for the adapter PCIe x 16, one for optical drives upward to the top and one that down to feed the HDD/SSD to down near the bottom.  It's OK to tap into two of them and aggregate 8 pins adapter, but I rarely use my optical and simply drew readers in two of them and only one rail.

There is enough power to do what you want.  Beware of cheap adapters of very little populated (fewer wires that should be there)... get one from a source of good brand with a good reputation.  Good are a little expensive.  Bad guys are cheaper.

Upgrade to 30 Watts, this isn't a problem.

Motherboard Memphis2-s in your desktop PC requires a standard motherboard 4 + 20 or 24-pin connector as well as a 4 CPU power connector pins.  Make sure is that the candidate of the power supply is the standard variety of the industry instead of a Dell and other types of industrial property.

  • Details of the 536304-001 HP Power On / Off switch and cable LED Assembly for the Z400

Can someone help me with the P5 front header pinout on the motherboard Z400 or on the HP 536304-001 power switch and LED to the Z400 Cable Assembly?   I'm getting to is a Z400 motherboard in a case of XW8000. I know that 536304-001 does not fit in the case of XW8000 but the XW8000 part equivalent seems to have mostly the same connections. double color led, led hard drive, power button / stop.   I can see an illustration that 536304-001 use 4 connections on the side to key of header and 2 on the other. Cable colors are red, green, black and 3 white. There are also other connections to the temperature thermistor that I would not intend to use (unless explicitly required for Z400 motherboard).

    Here's a panel header pinout before Z400 P5 motherboard:

Find "missing" pin key 14 to steer this diagram properly.

Pins 2 and 4 go to the power LED.  This LED is two-way, with green in a sense (normal) and Red (diagnosis failure) in the other.  If the LEDs back to back are installed between pins 2 and 4, on lights.  If green it does not illuminate during normal operation, move the pins to the pair of diodes.

Pins at 15, 17 and 18 are chassis ID pins.  It's OK to let those pins unconnected.

Pins 6 and 8 are the power button pins.  Connect a normally open push switch between pins 6 and 8.  Do not attach any tension or Chin-ups to this switch.

RESET # may not work, but it is a prototye signal.  A switch push-button normally open between pin 7 and 6 (GND) could make it work.  It's OK to let those pins unconnected.

Terminals 11 and 12 are the thermal diode in the panel cable Assembly before Z400.  The system starts without the thermal diode, but fans can operate at full speed all the time, or may oscillate in speed (several times to go from slow to high-speed and back).  This will make the system very noisy.

  • Replacement of power SUPPLY Dell Dimension 5000 block

Hi - I have a Dell Dimension 5000 (around 2005) with a duff ATX PSU.

Dell p/n is CN-OC5201-17972-51R-1CNV and the model # is N305P-00

I looked on this forum and the recommended not only equivalent Dell PSU (Antec TRUEPOWERII IPTI-430 430W ATX12V 2.01 Power Supply) does not seem to be available (UK).

Does anyone know of a compatible brand/model power supply that I can replace my diet duff with or where I can get a direct replacement from DELL for a reasonable price?

I think my power supply DELL has these connectors:

P1 - power of card mother ATX 24-pin
    P2 - 4 motherboard power PIN
    P3 - 4 SATA connector
    P5 - Ditto
    P7 - connector floppy 4pin

    P9 - Ditto

    Any help would be appreciated...

  • PowerEdge T410 won't do anything when you press the power button / stop.

My work has recently retired this t410 server. It worked without any problems when he was arrested. I had to remove and destroy the hard drives from the system. After that, I was allowed to bring home for my own use. I installed a new sata drive and plugged into the power supply and a free sata port on the motherboard. I get nothing when I tried to boot the system. This version has the unique power. Power light only lights up when you press the test button. System fan is going at full speed, but stops when you release the power button. Also on the control panel lights 1,2 and 4 and HDD power on and turn until the test button is released. There is a single green light lit on the motherboard, while it is plugged. Apart from that, I have no response when you press the main power button. Can anyone tell how to try to get it up and running again.

    -Who-

I have not received the answers more so I think that this issue is ignored. So I'll let everyone know what finally happened. I solved my problem after a lot of electrical testing. I found a diagram of the arrangement of the power dell power supply pins and I made myself the best possible meter test. After several rounds of tests, I found several pins that did not have the right voltage. I bought a new power supply. I installed and replace everything. I plugged into the system and it auto fed on itself. I loaded from an OS and it works perfectly.

  • The upgrade GPU and PSU for Optiplex 9020, baffled by connector 8 pins. !!!

Hi, I have a game related question if you want.

I recently acquired a brand new 9020, was surprised by the performance and was eagerly expected put in my old Redeon HD 5770. However, I was faced with the question of the connectors on the motherbioard is unfamiliar and non-standard. My old SPU 650w had a 4 pins of connector 8 pin, just like your stupid mothers, but they don't reach. The expected 20 "-24"-pin connectors were nowhere to be seen, so I couldn't use these either. " I just talk about an oversight and that my diet Huntkey Titan 650 has simply need an extension lead to join the mother socket, or I'm screwed? The PC was bought for me by my University, and I didn't have the choice of the plug.

Dell isn't the only one to do that.  HP also does.  Its likely a response to the power supplies being exchanged with units of counterfeits.

  • Workstation Dell Precision T7400 will not power with ATI Radeon 5970 installed

    Hello

I had my dream, the monster bi - GPU ATI Radeon 5970 video card and installed in my T7400 but the system will not start, all I get is a fast fan rotation and a kind of sounds from food, a bit like "Brrrnt, click on" led me to believe that the power supply could not handle my video card.

The video card requires an 8pin and 6-pin power plug. When I plug the 8-pin and 6-pin and turn on the computer, is a no-go as shown above. When only the power plug 6-pin I plugged the PC sounds like it will start, the power of fans but no display as I expect.

I tried this video card into the two PCI-Express slots with the same failure as a result. The computer works fine with the Nvidia Quadro 3700 in it... using a 6 power connector pins.

I got the ATI Radeon HD 5970 video card in a store of the local computer and it had tested ($15) because I didn't test it in a spare computer and video card passed with flying colors...

That's why I thought my 1000 Watt power supply was a problem, so as a bet, I ordered a replacement off eBay and received a sweater to work more the wiring harness and completely replaced the two who has a job to say the least! Have you tried to replace the wire bundle? a lot of work...

I got it all back together, crossed my fingers and prayed and tried again and the same thing... NO LUCK... I put the graphic card Nvidia Quadro 3700 back in and the system of power like a charm.

What on earth could it be the cause for it? I REALLY want to get this video card works in this system.

I even tried a bios update and carefully watched the card mother and everything that I could to see if there's... nothing exploded capacitors...

Please HELP - I want to get my game...

    Wesley

I think I found the solution and I would like to mention it here to help others if they get him...

A: the power of Dell for the T7400 was designed to produce five rails 12 volts @ 18 AMPS each and the video card requires approximately 45 to 50 amps to work properly. Video cables (one with a 8 pin) and 6-pin on the harness even seems to only provide amps 18 or more and the computer will not power because power protection circuit sees too many amps being requested by a 'rail' and turns off immediately...

I went to electronics of FRY in San Jose and bought a few cards that helped divide the current between different sources, such as the cables of the hard drive and video.

B: I have a small battery backup power unit and my T7400 was plugged into the saved game... When I got the video card to work, he could make a beep loud and after minutes cutting my T7400 due to the mainstream power support... I plugged the computer into a 'surge protector' but not battery backed up to the slot and since then had no problems...

Now after several tests including FurMark, my graphics card stress works very well in this system... This is due to an unfortunate design in the T7400 power supply and wiring... Now that I have this solved, I hope that someone else can benefit...

Get an adapter like this one, it allows to separate the power sources for the 8 power connector pin and use the PIN 6 original which is connected to the Dell printer condition 8 pin adapter, for the 6-pin slot... hope that makes sense... by trial and error, you got it right!

Try to add a second SATA DVD Rom but do not see more SATA power connectors?  I tried to discuss with Tech, desperate!  Don't understand.  The system came with a SATA hard drive and a SATA DVD/BlueRay so both SATA power connectors are used.  I do not see another SATA power connector in the system, but there are at least 2 connectors SATA DATA more on the system board.  You can even add the old style DVD of as the connectors on the system board do not exsist for the old style DVD ROM.  What they do a converter to SATA power adapter or am I missing something?  Strange.
