• Export to a CSV of tiara does not produce a CSV file!

  Seems strange but exporting to a CSV of tiara does not a CSV file.  Tiara produces a tab delimited file, which is obviously not a CSV file.  Tiara aid said even the 'CSV' file is a tab-delimited.  The software expects a comma as delimiter does not read the file properly created tiara.  It is possible to specify the correct delimiter?

  You can ask the decimal/separator, you need if you start exporting CSV from a script

• Application c# does not start if the tiara is not installed on the computer

  Hello

  I did a c# application, including forms of measurement studio.

  A feature of the application is that I can start DIAdem and then open a tdms file - that works.

  But if I install the application on a computer without a DIAdem application installation c# unbootable.

  Is there possibility to tell c# don't not to load the diadem.dll or is there a nickname TIARA that tells that the tiara of the DLL is not accessible?

  Hi Joerg,

  I am pleased that you hear that you are making progress.  ActiveX DIAdem servers will be, by default, to connect to an existing instance of tiara and leave it unmolested when they finish.  If instead, no instance of tiara exists when the ActiveX Server is called, then demand ActiveX begins a dependent instance tiara child who stops automatically when the calling program terminates.  What most people do, is create the connection ActiveX at the beginning of the application variable and hang it on him until the end of the application, even if no tiara activity happening for long periods.  If the connection object variable persists, it will be the DIAdem instance, even an instance of tiara child dependants.  Do you think it would be an option for you?

• Examples of tiara works not

  Hi all. Just try to tiara for the first time and having problems with the examples. They will not fire for me. Tiara, I will help-> examples that opens the finder of the example. From there, I can choose one of the examples. So far so good, but when I click on 'Start example', I get a window from VBScript pop up saying "an error occurred when executing the example." This seems to happen to all the examples (I tried half a dozen).

  I'm running 11.3 DIAdem, installed from the DVD 2011 Developer Suite. No update is available, so I guess that it is up-to-date. Operating system is Windows 7 Home premium, SP1.

  Any ideas?

  Hi Chris,

  It looks like a problem during the installation and registration of the tiara. At the end of the installation DIAdem will start once in the background. If this not a not the OLE Interfaces will not registered correctly.

  Please start tiara as an administrator once more registered tiara. When you close the tiara and start with user rights everything should work.

  I'm trying to load a data sheet which does not seem to import into my list of plugins available.

  When I try to reinstall the plugin, I wonder if I want to replace the existing plugin which leads me to believe, it is loaded from somewhere.

  I use the evaluation version of 2015 of the DIAdem (64-bit).  The plugin data I'm trying to work on other machines with copies of tiara juts not mine.

  VBS dataplugins should appear in 32 and 64 bit DIAdem

  but there are a few dataplugins of C++ that exist only for 32 bit.

  Hi Martin,

  There is no way to copy a particular graph to the Clipboard.  You can copy the entire sheet of REPORT to the Clipboard, or in more recent versions of DIAdem, you can copy a particular REPORT object as a graphic to be DISPLAYED.  I advise to use a nice picture, cropping program like SnagIt to cut the part you want.  Tiara does not support the incorporation of its REPORT objects in other programs such as Word, in all cases, you will simply receive a static image in the other program.

• The internal organisation of DIAdem data returned an error of initialization

  Hello.

  I have a laptop that is running Windows XP with installed 10.2 DIAdem.

  Main problem: tiara does not start. A few seconds after trying to run it I get a message "ERROR" box saying

  "The internal organization of DIAdem data returned an initialization error."

  Question that might be related: when I connect to the laptop there is an error message saying:

  "The DataFinder cannot start to an internal error. (122): failed to open the configuration file! C:\Documents and Settings\Settings\Application Data\...\my.datafinder< runmode:="" datafinder="" desktop="">

  The directory C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings does not exist on the laptop.

  My first thought was to reinstall just DIAdem. However, when I open Add/Remove Programs tiara is not in the list, so I can't uninstall it. When I just try to run the installer it says I need to uninstall the existing version first.

  No idea how I could get DIAdem working again?

  (btw this laptop is used for courses etc in our society, so I do not know how this problem occurred. Just that they have not been able to run the tiara on her for more than a year)

  in your 1st post you mentioned that you couldn't find tiara in the Add/Remove Programs list.

  => Please look into this list to or . That's because NEITHER has its own entry in the Add/Remove Programs list. Here you should find DIAdem to uninstall.

  You should use MSIBlast if the 'normal' Uninstall failed for some reason. If you use MSIBlast, he could not guarantee that everything is uninstalled in the right order. MSIBlast is not updated on the dependencies between the msi files.

  You told us that the directory C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings exist on your laptop. If you have a proper installation of XP, it must be there. It is sometimes invisible because of your windows settings. If this is the case please change your windows settings so that you can see the folders system as well.

  If you found this file, please remove the following folder: "c:\Documents and Settings\Settings\Application Data\National Instruments\Shared\DataFinder". After that start please DIAdem - a new folder with sub folders 'config' and 'data' are created.

  If the error is-, then I have only one idea: If your laptop doesn't have hard enough to free up space to manage all temporary files that occurs during an installation - so maybe it's that this message occurs if you start the installed application. The installer itself is not warn about in each case, overloaded virtual machine, e. g. fragmented hard drive, etc.).

• Performance of DIAdem to brake with the only value of GPI-pilot

  I have a big problem:

  I developed a GPI-driver as a single value driver in a DLL. I would like to display and store a large amount of data but DIAdem is slow (or have enough CPU time) to process the data, coming from driver.

  In the my current DAC configuration I use two blocks of entry saw 19 and 16 channels (all of type double) and receive values measured in different data sources, in my case a socket (stl::socket) and a local file (istream).

  Each data source is implemented as a thread and work conversion (MSB - LSB) and buffer incoming data socket and file stream. Each block entry in my plan of DAC is connected to a particular data source and a separate clock system. The blocks of entry, receiving data in "Blockmode" (clock, external clock) by DAC-core transfer via the method InputValueGet of the GPI.

  For some tests, I used some channels to view internal information about the drivers:

  -InputValueGet tiara MaxScanNumber

  -Current Buffersize to the related worker thread

  What I see is that the buffer size of the wire increases very quickly, but tiara is not beeing get data with appropriate speed. He wants only to between 200-300 scans to a call of InputValueGet.

  In addition, I did a few tests using the windows performance monitor. What I see is beeing created just two threads and DIAdem manages nearly 100% CPU load. Son beeing all DLLS stopped correctly after the course of the measure.

  What can I do to improve the performance of tiara?

  First problem is resolved:

  A PLUG in the worker thread was not in a "non-blocking" mode where the call to recv (...) on this blocked and therefore DIAdem was always running at 100% CPU-Time during the measurement.

• Replace the text values

  Hello.

  I have problem with replacement of values in text strings and I can't find a solution.

  I have two or three channels filled with only 2 values: OK and NOK. How can I replace these values with for example 1 for OK and 0 for NOK?

  This replacement is necessary for drawing a chart. I can't draw the chart because the tiara do not accept the values of text like a ladder with the current values.

  replaces a substring in a text with another text can be done with VBS 'Replace' function

  The execution of a function on an entire channel can be made using ChnCalculate.

  Combine the two and you get:

  ("ChnCalculate ("ch ()"" statistics text"" "") = Replace (ch ("' statistics text" "" '), '' value' ', "" LLL"") ")

  It is a channel in the DIAdem example data set. The above command executes the command "Replace" for each value of the text string "text of statistics". He replaces each occurrence of 'value' by 'LLL '.

  I am running DIAdem 2010, LabVIEW 2010 and Windows 7. When I try to run the control example Multipage Report.vi I get the following error.

  The error you receive may be caused by the order in which your software has been installed.

  The usual installation order would be:

  Drivers

  Tiara

  It should be probably to remove and reinstall the tiara on your system to see if that solves your problem.

  I use DIAdem 10.2

  (1) I write the Script for the declaration of my scada system. In my report model, there are some common text as user field, period reoprt, designation, report, etc. etc... I designed the dialog box to ask these details in starting, and now I wanted to transfer these details on each page of the report. Is it possible to connect these details with the report model?

  (2) I am facing problem in the allocation of train paths within the script... Is it possible to get rid of problems that arise due to movement of files from file *.sud or *.tdr. It will be great if diadem automatiocally search inside the folder in which the script is saved... so whenever we are going to move the complete file of any statement. It won't create any problem condition save us all files in a folder.

  (3) I crushed my script different system or sometimes need to distribute it. Is it possible to make my script running on another system where tiara is not installed... sort of it, even making available using any platform of programming such as LabVIEW, Measurement studio, CVI etc. etc.

  HS Hello!

  (1) you can use global variables to solve this task. There are some predefined as "T1" or - I prefer - assign them in the Script with the command GlobalDim and fill them in your data. In the report, you can use the expression '@T1 @' or ' @@MyGlobalDimVar @ ' in the text fields to display the content.

  (2) you can use the AutoActPath variable to all access to the files compared to the running script. If you put all your files next to the script, you can move the package wherever you want in the file system. In all commands of loading like PicFileLoad you must use AutoActPath.

  (3) you can run Scripts DIAdem and dialogs only in DIAdem.

  I have a Setup dual monitor unconventional, while my laptop is connected. It resulted in the window being located far off screen coordinates. I moved the secondary monitor around the screen area to try to locate the window in order to bring it back within the view, but have had no success. I took off to try and find the window but have failed. I have reset the tiara, but this did not bring the window in sight. Tiara is not very practical for my use without this window.

  The second is to change the file Config.ini from the tiara. You will find here c:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\National Instruments\DIAdem\Version-(user name is a placeholder for your login name and the Version for the current version 2012 for example tiara. Tiara first close and then change the text psosition in the:

  POSITION = 0, 0

  Hi Bala,

  Depending on your use case, I suggest you call the next VI, which comes with LabVIEW, after your purchase VI is the creation of the data file.  Just pass the data file path in the upper part of entry and your path to the VBScript file in less than entry.

  I have trouble using 'Goto' and 'Continue For' lines in the script of DIAdem.  Does anyone know if these are disabled in DIAdem or if I'm doing something wrong.  Take for example these examples below:

  VBS is only associated "GoTo" "On Error Resume Next '. In all other cases "GoTo" and "Continue" are not part of the VBS command set. (Please keep in mind that the tiara supports VBS and no VBA or VB.) Your example can be changed as follows:

• Tiara dac combined with the NI PCIe-6259 does not send the data

  I have a card OR PCIe-6259 & DIAdem 11.2.0 (version 2010) on a windows 7 PC.

  Inputs outputs & analog analog + digital are configured in MAX 9.8.0f0. (Global virtual channels)

  When I run a dac, entered analog works perfectly.

  Outputs analog and digital does not work. Only one of the four analog outputs give the value that has been send.

  In the past, I had the same problems with this version of DIAdem in combination with a third party USB card, but this has been resolved by the new firmware & software drivers.
