power automatic monitor down?

I can't turn off my screen from the power options in the control panel.  Once the settings are grayed out. XP sp3

Hi DavidPolitte,

This problem occurs because, when the system shutdown behavior is stopped, due to the application which does not, close system power requests are cancelled. This happens because the application returns a BROADCAST_QUERY_DENY to WM_POWERBROADCAST message and the message PBT_APMQUERYSUSPEND. Therefore, power state data system contains information of the request cancelled. In this case, if the system tries to turn the monitor off using the system clock, the system cannot turn the monitor off.

Download and install the patch that is available in the link given below and check if it helps fix the problem:

If you wish, you can also stop Outlook of suggesting e-mail addresses as you type.

    Tools > Options.
    Tab "Preferences".
    Click e-mail Options.
    Click Advanced e-mail Options.
Do not forget to uncheck "suggest names while completing to, Cc, and BCC fields."
    And OK your way out.

  • Printer Hp 6520 automatically shuts down after a few hours

Original title - printer hp 6520 problem

My new photosmart 6520 automatically shuts down after a few hours, it disconnects from my Win7 machine without using the material removal tool, if I get a nice loud bang when it does.  It is connected through the usb port on my Pavilion.  I don't mind to go to sleep, but I don't want to disconnect completely, because when I send a new print job, he didn't wake up automatically and print, I don't have to feed it manually upwards then it prints very well.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

I could join HP support on this issue this morning.  There were two things - first HP printers now have a built-in surge protector so you should not connect it to an another surge protector.  Second, the default printer is delivered with activated automatic stop, turning off will do sleep, but not to turn it off, so that it accepts print jobs whenever one is sent.  So, if that helps anyone, good!  And thanks also for your help.  :^) gene

Four "beeps", could indicate a memory problem, if you are comfortable working inside the computer, try to open the case, remove and reinstall all memory modules and see if that makes a difference.

If you not comfortable working with the removal and the reinstallation of the components, then I suggest that you take the Inspiron 530 to a repairman.

Is the power button LED, blue constant or flashing blue?

Every change made to the 530 recently?

Your PC will already in mode 'sleep' (unless you have changed which) which is a State of "close arrest", after 20 min. or more, but it still uses power. The advantage of the 'sleep' is that it starts in a few seconds of him compared to 1 min normally. Hi Vilus

During the long period of use, the cooling modules may be blocked by dust.
This would prevent air from traffic and could lead to a higher temperature.
I have experience with such behavior cell phone because this happened to my two different notebooks from different manufacturers.

The cooling modules couldn t run with the best performance because of the dust and I was forced to use a jet of compressed air that has helped remove a lot of dust and debris.
I blew air through the vents and fans and I was really surprised how much dust was hidden inside the laptop.

In any case, after this procedure accelerated, the temperature went down and laptop didn t stopped automatically.

  • the mouse no longer works in certain combinations of power/multi monitor

Win 7 32 bit ASUS EEE PC laptop.  Worked normally up to today.

Battery, mouse (touchpad) works very well.  When I plug in the power supply, the mouse stops (always displays right click context menu).

By chance discovered that with a second monitor mouse moves ok on battery or AC power.  (I use multiple monitors on a regular basis).

It seems that no matter how I get to the single monitor on power mode, the mouse stops.  If I am autonomous on battery and add HQ, the mouse stops.  If I have a second monitor attached during an AC, even in single monitor mode (i.e. on the LCD of the PC screen), simply unplug the monitor causes the mouse to stop moving.

It looks like a problem of "state machine".  As if a program setting got out of sync so that the PC goes in power state AC stand alone, movement of the mouse is disabled.  I'm puzzled - I have never seen anything like this.  I did a system restore to several days ago, with no impact.

    Any ideas appreciated.

    Best regards

Hi Deepak, and all those who may read this,

In response to your questions: (1) no change except for a new PSU (which is relevant, as noted below), (2) not built in touchpad Synaptics.

Thank you very much for your detailed response confirming the troubleshooting steps.  I actually tried these.  It turns out that only this morning that I was able to confirm what the problem was.  As strong as it is to believe, the power supply is at fault, but it's subtle.

The original forum post does not include the fact that the problem was known then on the campus, which is important.  I have 2 different power supplies (various manufacturers).  Both work very well at home; but one of them the cause of the problem of the mouse on the campus.

I never heard of such a problem given that the design of power supply is done enough these days, but it appears among the supplies allows something through the computer that inhibits the operation of the mouse.  It is difficult to imagine that this is a power level; Maybe it's a kind of transmission high frequency bearing on the logic of material for the mouse.  When the external monitor is plugged into the campus electronic context changes and the problem disappears.

For any other person who have this problem I would suggest trying to use the PC on the current in a different location, or use a different power plug at the same place.

    Best regards

  • When I click on a clip on a timeline, it automatically moves down to 45 seconds and another track

So I don't know what I did, or if it's a weird bug on my system, but all of a sudden whenever I click on an item to move it, the clip moves to the low about 45 seconds to the right and down a track.  Everything else I have point to works very well and it seems constant, that's why I thought it would be some adjustments, but I can't understand and it drives me crazy.  I uninstalled and got rid of the preferences, but the behavior returned.  If I open AE, pliers movement is normal.   New projects of first are the same. Any thoughs?

Hmm.  I thought about it, it has something to do with the multiple Mac monitors.  I extend instead to use spaces and discreet work for some reason any first can get confused.  I was moving the windows on different monitors and it fixed the issue.

  • 6500 power automatic duplex

I just bought an Officejet 6500 E709n. It came with the duplexing feature (accessory that attaches to the rear).

I earlier had an Officejet 7310 also having two-sided printing function.

I am doing with the 6500, what I was doing with the 7310:

-set the automatic duplex power (so that the ADF (ADF) will read both sides of the sheet)

-affect printing DUPLEX (so that the printer prints on both sides of the print media)

-copy a document of duplicate entry in a document to output duplex in the following way:

-I place a sheet (or a number of sheets) into the automatic document feeder

-AJD reads the side front side of the sheet and releases it only partially

-l' print the side front of the sheet and partially released so that it dries

-the drawee of the duplexer sheet out of back inside

-pull ADF, the rear entrance to the inside sheet in order to read the entry side back

-l' prints the side back of the plug provided by the duplexer and it releases completely

-If the other leaves are in the ADF, the ADF reads the next sheet and the process is repeated until there is no input more

I know how to set print double-sided on the 6500, but I can't find instructions for reading duplex value.

I just spent a few hours with the support of cat, which left me hanging at the end asking me to call HP Total Care phone support to the 1-800-474-6836.

    Can you help me?

The ADF in the OJ 6500 Wireless does not have the capacity automatic duplex. He cannot read the two sides of an original automatically.

  • Target management automatic storage down in Enterprise Manager Grid 11.1

    Hello

I use Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid 11.1.0.1.0 and I got alert that ASM target is down, because the entire box of linux, database and the ASM have been restarted. The database uses ASM and it is running now. This alert is old, how clear he / she re-evaluate that if the State concerned?

    Here's what I got:

Agent is unable to communicate with the WHO. (REASON = Agent is inaccessible (REASON: Agent of Communication WHO is brokenNo WHO's response header))
Inaccessible agent is disabled. The current state of the target is DOWN.
The agent is inaccessible (REASON = no route to host). The host is unreachable (REASON = Ping has expired.)

    The alert message is:
"Unable to connect to the instance of the DSO. "ORA-15000: order rejected by current instance type (DBD ERROR: OCISessionBegin).

I tried also to reassess the alert administrator super user, but I got the message "you don't have sufficient privilege to perform this operation. Only administrators with privileges to manage the target alert can collect measures. "

No idea how to reassess the State?

    Thank you
    Maria

    I found this remark:

    https://support.Oracle.com/CSP/main/article?cmd=show&type=not&DOCTYPE=problem&ID=1276657.1

That contains the news of gold nugget that solved my problem... You must ensure that use you the SYSDBA (and not SYSASM) role when you set up the monitoring of ASM. From the notes, it appears that the JDBC Thin client has no idea what to do with the role of "SYSASM".

    Hope that helps.

  • Satellite Pro C50-A-1E5 loses power while stopping down

Whenever I leave my phone ~ 3 months power off - completely put off, as in the case - for about a week, when I come back he has lost all power and needs to be recharged again. It's obviously quite irritating, especially because I bought it to replace my old laptop when the battery top broke.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Such behavior of the laptop can occur where some BIOS functions are active.
You must disable in the BIOS, wake up options like Wake Up on LAN or Wake Up on the keyboard, etc.
In addition, you must disable sleep & Charge (if available)

PS: Don't forget save the changes in the BIOS.
