  Some explanation please:
  Did you install WHO 1 and the OMR database on 2? CMS and SEO or on databases 1 and install another DB on the 2?
  In the second case you can install an agent on 2 also. In the first case, the agent on 1 cannot 'see' the DB on the 2, so also install an agent on 2.

  You can check using

  SQL > show parameter db_create_file_dest

  If it shows some thing like + DISKGORUPNAME, the database uses ASM

  In addition, you can using verfity

  Select name, status from v$ asm_diskgroup;

  Is that the State shows CONNECTED, while special ASM diskgroup is related to the proceeding.

  ASM can be installed without Enterprise grid control manager, but not without installed 11 g R2 grid infrastructure. Grid infrastructure is required for the ASM and RAC to single instance environment.

  My new photosmart 6520 automatically shuts down after a few hours, it disconnects from my Win7 machine without using the material removal tool, if I get a nice loud bang when it does.  It is connected through the usb port on my Pavilion.  I don't mind to go to sleep, but I don't want to disconnect completely, because when I send a new print job, he didn't wake up automatically and print, I don't have to feed it manually upwards then it prints very well.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

  I could join HP support on this issue this morning.  There were two things - first HP printers now have a built-in surge protector so you should not connect it to an another surge protector.  Second, the default printer is delivered with activated automatic stop, turning off will do sleep, but not to turn it off, so that it accepts print jobs whenever one is sent.  So, if that helps anyone, good!  And thanks also for your help.  :^) gene

• Number of targets for a storage HBA adapter?

  I'm setting up the connections of storage host as below is to say each HBA host with 2 connected to FC switch, which in turn connects to the storage as below: -.

  

  Now if I select the host & go to Configuration-> storage adapters-> select an HBA.

  I can understand the number of paths, it is double since via adapter HBA selected, I have two paths for each data store.

  

  But why target number is 4, even if via this selected HBA adapter there are only 2 paths by the data store and not 4 paths?

  Don't forget that we select one of THEM, so logically it would the target number according to the targets available via this HBA adapter only

  If you have two storage arrays with both SPS on each storage array, then you will have 4 targets:

  Target 1 - Bay storage 1-1 storage processor

  Target 2 - Bay storage 1-2 storage processor

  Target 3 - Bay storage 2-1 storage processor

  Goal 4 - Bay storage 2 - storage processor 2

  I installed a suite SOA as follows:
  1-oracle Database 11 g (on database server)
  2 - the UCR 11.1.1.3.3 (on database server)
  3 - Weblogic 10.3.3 (server on Soa)
  4 SOA Suite 11.1.1.2 (on server Soa)
  5 SOA Suite group patches 11.1.1.3 (on server Soa)
  
  the soa_server1 looks like now works well on the console.
  but soa_server1 showing towards the bottom of the screen of the business manager and application deployment show unknown (19), up (4)
  
  noticed that I installed it before and its worked and upward and works very well.
