Power code: 0x2

Hello
I have a Toshiba SM30-404. I upgraded to win xp home for win xp experiences (new installation) and now I can not start the powersaver, I get the error code 0 x 2 when I try to run the energy saver (occurs when the installation is complete and I try to start it for the first time).
I tried the new facility, killed (fromated) my hard drive completely, downloaded all the patches of xp and saving energy on the site of toshiba... I am desperate it's been 2 weeks now... Anyone know about this?

Hello

It is very important to install common modules before installation of Power saver. Did you do that?

  • Issue of standby, power code: 0x7E - Satellite U300 - 14 p

I just bought my Satellite U300 - 14 p and installed windows XP SP3 0.5508 (deletion of Vista that comes with it), with a custom Windows XP, boot disk made with nLite 1.4.1 (to include the SATA driver and set up my preferences, such as themes, etc.).

I followed the instructions (installation order) that are on the Drivers Toshiba Download Page and everything goes well until installing "TOSHIBA Power Saver"(v7.03.07Q)".
The installation seemed to go very well, but at the end of it, the "critical stop" sound error of windows rang and after go to the control panel and try to open TOSHIBA Power Saver, I get the message:

"CANNOT be opened because you do not have access rights to use 'TOSHIBA Power Saver'."

I am the only user of the computer and admin, so I don't get this message.

I tried to uninstall it but I get the message: "a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x7E.

    Any help?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that, now, every time I start windows, the "critical stop" sound games and he started that after I installed energy-saving

  • DV7-2185dx usually will not be market - indicator of no. - East power codes

    Hey everybody!

I have a DV7-2815DX, p/n NV023UA #ABA, and it will not turn on 99% of the time. Here is a description of the problem:

    • Power cord is plugged and the illuminated by the plug.
    • Battery is in, but no charge indicator. SOMETIMES (about 10% of the time) the charging light blinks constantly.
    • I hit the power button and nothing happens. The fans start, no beep codes, no flashing of the LED.
    • Same results when the battery is removed.
    • Same results when the battery is installed and the power supply cord is unplugged.

Once from time to time, the system tries to start. Fans of start and all lights light up (slider in the volume indicator wifi, etc), but then it turns off after about one second and continues the original problem.

Here are the steps I've taken so far:

    • Tried the hard reset steps described here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01443371
    • I swapped the RAM. Tried a stick into the two slots, tried the other stick in both slots, tried both sticks in different locations. I have tried different RAM sticks.
    • I tried another from an another HP Pavilion laptop AC adapter.
    • As already said, I have tried with and without the battery installed.
    • I completely disassembled the laptop down to the motherboard and clean the radiator. I also have the form of basic thermal paste to the processor and GPU. I also did all the connections have been fixed. One was suspicious:

It is located inside the laptop power cable style: http://www.itpartsource.com/searchquick-submit.sc?keywords=538085-001+. The wires in the connector 2 pins were loose, the connection itself was not a coward but the actual wires inside the connector. I tried to reinstall the best I could, but I am not convinced that I made a difference.

    • I also replaced the CMOS battery. I noticed that the box located below the battery inside the small box in which it is located, what apperaed to be rust stains.

I could able to start completely twice, once before the dismantling and once after. Whenever he gave me an error 'checksum', on the CMOS, and it gives me the ability to load the default values (F1) or enter the settings (F10) system. I chose a different each time and was able to get to the windows startup and the laptop worked like a charm. After closing down, however, originally continued problem.

So, what do you think? Is that what cable power (I already ordered a new one, just to be sure)? What is the connection of the CMOS battery? What is the CPU or GPU? Or do I need a new motherboard?

I also had a supplementary question. Anyone know where I can get a new CPU, if I had to? If I buy a new motherboard, you know if it comes with the Integrated GPU already?

Thanks for posting my lengthy post! I look forward to your responses!

    Hello @PromisedLand,

I see that you have a problem with your laptop from consecutively. I will try to help you with this.

Please provide all the details you have to what has already been tried. It helps a lot in the direction on how to proceed. Of what you have tried, I'm also leaning towards the issue being to the system board.

    * be aware that changing the motherboard yourself can be very difficult to change the id of service without the HP software to do. You can contact the technical support for this part.

In Service and Maintenance Guide, you can find spare parts and the answers to your question on the system board. Page 79 has the cards of replacement system, page 93, processors. They are not part of the Council, but the graphics are.

You can check/contact the store part HP to order these parts.

I hope you're able to help.
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Tecra A9 - Blocking Power Saver - fatal error code: 0 x 2

    Hello

Today, when I turned on my computer the energy saver has started planting.
I rebooted the computer several times and the result is always a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. Code: 0x2.

Even this error appears when I try to reinstall the application.
Perhaps it has something to do with SP3, I have installed a couple a days ago.

    Someone has an idea?

    Martin Vassilev.

I saw this error for a long time with Windows XP Home edition. In my opinion it has nothing to do with SP3.
My experience says that you will not be able to solve this problem. There is something wrong in the registry entries and reinstalling will not help.

One method can help, OS install new one, more radical using recovery media.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion a1209n does not turn

I have a HP Pavilion a1209n desktop computer. When I tried to turn it on, the led front returns with fan for 2-3 seconds. Then he stops briefly and turn back on again and repeat the same procedure. The front led in turn made the back of one right next to the power cod. I unplugged all the lines and I tried and still it doesn't show.

The computer is running Windows XP.

Any idea what could have gone wrong?

BTW, I gave pretty good brands for this PC because it serves me for the past 8 years.

I was able to do start-up funds. First of all, I took the hard drive and checked to find errors in using another computer by connecting with a USB key.

Second, a my modules of memory was not shaken in her slit and I had to go out and put it back.

I tried to reboot again. It worked this time!

  • Pavilion does not illuminate

My HP Pavilion was accidentally disconnected in mode 2 days 'sleep'.  Now it won't power upward.  He was not in a pot or abandoned.  I tried the initial steps to remove the paste and the power code, draining the power, then hit the on switch for 30 seconds, but nothing has changed.  The screen goes 'white', the fan starts, but the LED lights on the CAPSLOCK and numlock keys come on.  The WiFi light will come on.  Then, after about 1 second the fan and the screen off and the WiFi light go out.  This happens if the battery is in or not.  The only USB I have in it is for the mouse, but I took it too.  This set of symptoms is not covered on the http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01443371 page, which also does not cover Windows 10, but I do not see how the BONE would have something to do with it.

  • Satellite A40 - code error fatal power of Eve 0x2

Everytime I turn on my computer at startup displays an error with the energy saver, referring to the code 0 x 2. The fan does not work and the laptop gets overheated and just turns off. I managed to uninstall the energy saver and then tried the recovery CD.

I tried everything first to get the common modules, but it wouldn't let me not and showed about 16-bit message, don't really understand. So I tried to reinstall the saver of energy in any case and it just goes to show the error message again and won't.

    Help, please!

    Thank you

    Hello

    > first I tried to get the common modules, but it wouldn't let me not and showed about 16-bit message
I hope that you have used the file common right modules. If you use the modules of common law that the installation process should run without any problems.
The fact is that this program is very important and necessary. Without the common modules Toshiba tool does not work properly.

I would recommend formatting the entire HARD drive and do a fresh install from the recovery CD.
The energy saver is a part of the recovery CD and works.
