Power control blackBerry smartphones?

I'm new to blackberry. I have the Pearl 8100. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to have the phone to indicate by a flashing led or something is it on? I know it sounds a bit lame, but given that blanks the screen when not in use, I find that there is no way to know if the phone is on or off. With the game silent, even hitting a button does nothing. I let the battery die because I thought I had turned off the phone.

I tried the app store, but so far have been unable to find an app for that.

Thank you

You can activate the LED that flashes when the phone is in flashing radio coverage. Go to Options-> display-> coverage indicator

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how easily control / access tool BIS

    Hi all

I hope this will help some of you out there. What I am about to show you will help you easily access your BIS tool for most of the major suppliers. If you are replacing an old appliance with a new blackberry, the link will update your PIN / IMEI automatically in the BIS tool. This will bypass also need to connect via the username / password.

We wish to follow the link from your BlackBerry smartphone: https://bis.na.blackberry.com/wap?brand=(BRAND), where you see (MARK), you want to replace it with your provider.

    Common brands are:

    America:

    cingularme (AT & T)

    VZW (Verizon Wireless)

    TMobile (T-Mobile)

    Sprint (Sprint)

    Canadian:

    Rogers (Rogers)

    TELUS (Telus)

Once you have done so, you will have full access to check, move the emails etc. You can move / check your emails in any simply hittings the move button next to your emails and entering your password to the E-Mail address.

From what I've seen it works absolutely any BlackBerry model.

    Hope this helps,

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect BlackBerry Pearl 9105 for PC

    Hello world

    I have the following problem:

After using my BB Pearl 9105 for almost 3 years, I can not connect to PC more (I still menu with choice of 3 options on my smartphone when I connect, but when I click on that option "usb" or "charge", the menu appears again).

In addition, the PC does not recognize my smartphone as a usb device. Updated BlackBerry Desktop Software and the purchase of the new Micro-USB cable did not help.

    I can still load.

Could anyone suggest me how to solve this problem?

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones E-mails from gmail is not on Blackberry

Because I had problems with my other email account, I recently "moved" my correspondence email business to my gmail account, I had rather used as a backup before. I had both my accounts put in place on my blackberry and I remember them both increased and works well, but I cannot say with certainty that I have rarely received emails on gmail.

The problems I have now (I had also, at the same time re - configure my blackberry, but everything should be ok now) is that the gmail account is not working properly after the installation. At first, it seemed to work pretty well, but now it's extremely erratic, at best, with a few emails that crosses and their reception by the blackberry, not at all and if yes with a delay of up to a few days (!).
This makes the combination of my now main mail to gmail account and my blackberry on which I rely heavily for communication when I'm out of the House completely unusable.

I have heard and read (even if for the most part in internet posts that are a few years old) it seems to be a problem running with gmail and blackberry accounts. Is - this irreparable?

    Is there a solution?

If all else fails, use a new account (new) would be the only alternative left - which would be a messaging provider that matches 100% with the blackberry e-mail program?

    Thank you very much!

Hello and welcome to the community!

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your configurations for the relevant accounts.

In addition, with GMail, you must be sure to have a good setting inside GMail. Via PC/browser, you control what GMail is facing the internet for your account (POP, IMAP, or both). I always recommend that you turn OFF POP and turn on IMAP in Gmail. Then set up fresh for your BB and you will have the 'best' available (IMHO) settings for GMail.

Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support. What you describe certainly shouldn't happen on a regular basis (even if we must all accept the intermittent nature of everything on the internet).

    Good luck!

  • Unlocking blackBerry Smartphones 8830 World Edition GSM and code provider

    Hello

I'm a guy unsavvy tech and have an 8830 World Edition phone. Bought this from Auntie Indicom (Vendor ID: 269), a CDMA operator which also provided a GSM SIM for only international roaming. Last month, number portability Mobile came into India, and I went to a GSM provider, Vodafone India. After the transfer of numbers, simply inserted the new Vodafone SIM and the phone and Blackberry services are working well with the new operator. Two questions:

    1. from the Options-> advanced-> SIM card Options, after typing MEPD, I see:

    ID: a large number

    Customization:

    Disabled SIM

    Active network

    Network subset disabled

    Service Provider disabled

    People with reduced mobility

Does this mean that my Blackberry is locked? If Yes, is it blocked by Vodafone? Given that I have moved the Auntie service provider Vodafone and does not seem to wear the same number on the same phone, aunt locked the phone.

    2. type Alt-EACE, I always see the Vendor ID 269 (Auntie). See also the logo of Auntie initially upwards. Is it possible that I can change the ID of the seller or at least stop getting the start screen for the old vendor? This ID Vendo has something to do with the above-mentioned lock?

Would be very grateful if some kind soul illuminates.

    Thank you

    Paul

    India

There must be something different on a BB WE that allows the use of other SIMs, though always stuck at home carrier. Odd, but your experience proves the theory. I seriously doubt that release will make a difference, but certainly to try I guess.

I don't know why your BB is as you describe... but, I want to propose the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried. However, you want to be careful here. I don't know how you originally got your BB running services on your current operator. All BB services are controlled by the Service books. If a carrier does not natively support a BB model on their network, there are a few things that need to be taken to get these SBs on than non-native BB. If only it had to do, don't go here... you could just wipe out all your services level of BB. But if none of these tricks are required (which would mean that your carrier supports natively your BB model), then you should be safe to go ahead.

Steps 1 and 2 each should translate into a message to your BB to come:

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

Maybe it will make a difference. I really do not know about you, to be honest. It's a tricky business, and you can well serve just as well by getting a new BB you get from your carrier... which by the way, you would have at least that the formal support at your disposal channel.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry not syncing with Gmail

My Blackberry Bold 9900 stopped sync with Gmail. I only synchronize e-mail, contacts, or calendar. I mainly use Gmail site on my PC to read and delete emails. I have more than 70 unread e-mails on my Blackberry that were already deleted from the Gmail Web site. The option 'balance' has no effect. I can receive new Gmail on Blackberry messages, but if I have to 'Mark as read' or 'Clear' an email actions does not sync with the Gmail Web site. The same is true if I 'Mark as read' or 'Delete' an email on Gmail Web site. The actions are not synchronized with the Blackberry. I have 2 Android devices and a Windows Phone that syncs with Gmail without a problem. I just have the problem on my Blackberry.

    My device information:

    BlackBerry Bold 9900

    7.1 bundle 2435 (v7.1.0.862, platform 5.1.0.662)

    Reconciliation of BlackBerry e-mail settings:

    Delete on: mailbox & Pocket

    Wireless reconcile: checked

    On conflicts: mailbox WINS

    Gmail settings:

Inbox, and garbage are included in IMAP feeds

Also, I tried to delete Gmail from Blackberry account. When I did he told me he would remove all Gmail messages from the phone but it moved all the Gmail unread messages in my main mailbox. (I keep Gmail and Exchange separate emails on my Blackberry). It is also impossible to select multiple messages at the same time to remove if they are not in a consecutive order.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not upgrade world BB (I think)

A few weeks when starting AppWorld on my phone, it said I needed to upgrade my AppWorld/world software.  I went through a process of downloading, including the signing of an agreement of the user, who probably took care of him.

But I don't, because I didn't take over the world.  Here's what I'm trying to start:

Press App World icon in the home screen

Message appears: "to continue using Blackberry App World, you need to upgrade your current version. ..."

    Select [update]

A web page loads up, that resembles http://appworld.blackberry.com, except that do not load images

And here I go, because I do not know what, if anything, I have to have from there.

    I have a Blackberry 8350, and the OS is (I guess)? 5.0.0.601.

    Help please?

Hello and welcome to the community!

    Please try this sequence:

    (1) to remove from your BB AppWorld

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone
    • He asks to restart the BB,

    (2) a Batt Pull reboot (power on, remove the battery, wait, insert the battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.

    3) install a new copy of AppWorld (on your BB)

    (4) restart another Batt-sweater

    (5) see if it works now.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

    Hi all!

the e-mail on my 9320 function does not work correctly. I have correctly configured my gmail on mydevice account and I get emails and receive notifications when they arrive, HOWEVER...

When I opened the email all I see is heading for the topic and who it is from, there is no message body. Looking back through my old emails, the only ones I have read completely are those that I received BlackBerry when I first set up my email confirming the installation. If I select answer or forward, it opens the E-mail project but then the email app is closed completely and I'm suddenly brought to my home screen.

    What I've tried so far:

-Turning device and turn it on again

-removal and setting up my email account once again

-wear the device to where I bought it. they offered to download blackberrydesktop on my PC Manager and backup then restore my phone. I did it without a change in behavior from my blackberry

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you need to get in touch with your service provider and insist that they honor the formal support that they are contractually required to provide you with. Do not let you fob before having 100% solved the situation. If they tell you to contact RIM, don't let them not on the hook, then either... insist that they tell you exactly how you should contact RIM. If they say anything OTHER that they will increase you rim (for example, if they tell you to independently seek the support of the RIM), and then accept it. Only through an escalation of your service provider can you receive all official support from RIM.

Looks like they have made significant changes to their network... and they must ensure that their paying customers will continue to receive the services that they pay.
