When I disconect power cord and laptop running on battery power. The wireless icon in the corrner screen display limited access and I can not use internet.

Please help me.

Hello

This means that something is wrong with the Wlan settings in battery mode.
Check the Win 7 power management settings and disable for the WLan to save energy.
You could do this also in the Device Manager-> card Wlan-> properties-> Advanced tab and tab to save energy.

Also check if a newer version of the driver Wlan is available...

  • Loss of wireless connection casual on satellite C660-115

    Hey,.

I have a Toshiba Satellite c660 (2.5 years now, I think) and I have problems with my wireless connection (for 3 weeks now).
Never had any problems with my connection before.

When I use my laptop + - every hour my laptop disconnects Internet and immediately connects again.
My computer is often used for playing games online and after 3 weeks, it's starting to annoy me, because I need to restart the whole game etc...

Now, I have already updated all my WLAN drivers, I have the latest version of the BIOS update, and I adapted my energy profile settings to make sure that my computer is not turning off my wireless connection.

I really think that the problem is on my computer because I have the same problem on 2 different networks.
Don't know what to do, I hope someone can help me.

    Kind regards

  • Problem with persistent keyboard on Satellite C660

    Hello

I am the owner of a Toshiba Satellite C660-PSC1GE and my laptop suffers from the known problem keyboard (keys work twice or doesn't work do not at all).

I've already updated my BIOS to the newest version 1.90, which, according to Toshiba, should have solved the problem. A reboot later, the problem persists however.
Any suggestions? I really need laptop for work right now and would really like to avoid to bring it into a store.

    Thank you

Indeed, the keyboard problem should be solved by updating the BIOS as shown here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB1103370000R02.htm

Alternatively, you can try to press the "Fn" key then the "N" key then "1" in order to test if the number of keystrokes always displays
But of course, it would be possible that the problem mentioned is not the same thing and possibly its related to a malfunction of the keyboard
In this case, replace the keyboard to see if it would help.

By the way: it works external USB keyboard properly?
It the USB keyboard works correctly, while this problem is NOT related to the BIOS, but possibly with a malfunction of the internal keyboard.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 all-in-o: HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 All in One has serious problems wireless and print queue

I had nothing else problems since buying this printer 2 months ago.  We have a router from Apple and Apple OSX El Capitan computers running.

Wireless problem: the printer continuously indicates he is not connected to wifi, and the wifi worked very well. I followed the guide to troubleshooting well too many times now.  I have to turn off the printer and unplug the power cable so he can reconnect, and then it stays connected for 1 to 2 minutes.

Print line probem: when I get the connected printer jobs hanging up in the queue and almost never print.  If they print, it may take 10 minutes before the first page prints.  Yet once, I followed all the troubleshooting steps.

I also reset the printer to the factory settings and uninstalled the SW on our computers, then reinstalled.  The same problems remain.

I never had such problems with any device.  I hope someone has a magic answer.  Yet once, I tried the troubleshooting of all HP articles. they have not helped.

Since the 8610 is near your router, you can connect a cable between the two ethernet?

For the static IP address, take a look at the #3 solution in this link.

  • 5520 power problems on and offline printer.

Run PC - Windows 7 64 bit (all updates installed) or Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (not all updates installed). Photosmart HP 5520. Router Belgacom B - Box (latest updates installed). Norton 360 anti-virus (all updates installed).

    Two problems:

    1. The printer is a problem to turn on.
    2. Guard printer goes offline (using Windows 7).

Problem 1 - printer sometimes does not respond to the power button 'on '. The solution seems to be to remove the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds and then reconnect the power cord. The printer then starts up, but it is a necessary power reset (remove the power cord from the power outlet while the printer is enabled) to stop the continuous problem.

Problem 2 - printer keeps going offline when connected via Wi - Fi and is a serious problem. I carefully studied the messages of the forum on this subject and tried all solutions without success. I have all the latest HP software and install the drivers, and I reinstalled the software twice. I have disabled the firewall on the router and Norton 360 with no improvement. The printer Wi - Fi 'print info' print page reports that there are no problem. HP print and Scan Doctor points out that "all out very well with your product", but print test page does not work as the printer is offline. "The wireless network test results" print page also reports that there is no problem.

The only way I can get to print is by disabling the WiFi of the control panel of the printer and then turn it back on but it works for a few minutes before the printer is reported to be offline when I want to print additional pages.

The functions of the printer correctly when I boot Ubuntu instead of Windows on the PC.  This seems to suggest that the problem is not with the router or printer.

There is clearly a problem of settings in the PC or software, and in view of the large number of other messages from people reporting the same problem on the HP forums and other forums, so it is surprising that HP took no steps to correct the situation.

Thank you very much for any help received.

I am pleased to say that the printer offline problem has been resolved.

A big thank you to those who helped.

  • Satellite C660 - no Internet connection after updating BIOS

I am a novice user and have a Satellite C660 under warranty that I don't use for surfing the net and Ebay so I hope I can explain my problem!

Toshiba bulletin board said that the need to update BIOS, so I followed the instructions but since then I have no internet connection, and cannot restore the connection that I lost all help Toshiba Bulletin Board today lost and none of the programs to sort the problems work - e.g.set assistants etc. I did not yet create rescue disks, but if I try to create them now I'll be able to restore to factory settings?

Can someone tell me if it's a failure caused by the BIOS update or I would return laptop to John Lewis for repair? Thank you very much for reading this

    Hey Buddy,

The default settings in the BIOS load after update? If this is not the case, go into the BIOS and load the default settings. You can enter the BIOS if you press F2 before Windows start and then press the F9 key to load defaults. Then save & exit the BIOS Setup.

You can access the Internet now?
You try to access the Internet with LAN or WLAN connection?

Also check device manager if all devices are recognized correctly.

    > I did not yet create rescue disks, but if I try to create them now I'll be able to restore to factory settings?
You can create the Toshiba Recovery disk every time. Just launch the pre-installed Toshiba Recovery Media Creator and follow the instructions on the screen. You need just a few blank DVDs to create the discs. Disks contain a factory image of settings which can be restored each time and how many times you want to so with these disks, you are on the safe side ;)

    Hello guys

I just got my Toshiba Satellite C660 and I have the problem with the wireless device I can't access it. When I press FN + F8 nothing happened. I downloaded from http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads Atheros Wireless LAN Adapter - windows 7 x 64, but it does not work.

    Hi Wolvrine,

Exactly, what problem you have with your wireless network card? It is disabled and if you try to activate using the FN + F8 key combination? Or you have another problem?
Did you test if other FN keys work correctly?

On other threads, I realized the C660 owners are disabled the Windows power management feature and it worked WLAN energy saving. Maybe it s works for you also.

Today, when I turned on my laptop before it starts, I get a blue screen says:
Your computer has encountered a problem and needs to restart. Collection of information.

    What is this problem for?
    My laptop is TOSHIBA Satellite C660 - 1 M 0 i3

    Is this a Windows problem?

Here is a message I received in Windows7forums on this subject but I don't understand what he means, can understand you for me please? e

    * Re: Heeelp! Your computer ran into a problem! *

These screens generally include a sentence in the screen "fallen on problems." Usually something like Violation of Watchdog DPC (Deferred procedural call) and are often associated with a bad driver and or a power saving state not supported (sleep, hybrid sleep, hibernate, etc.,)

First of all, make sure that you have the latest drivers from your computer manufacturer and or the individual device manufacturer's Web site. Then consider whether this computer manufacturer includes any software that may be incompatible with Windows 8 CP or is somehow patented conflict with Windows 8 CP in energy saving power scheme options. You may need to experiment a little, maybe remove the proprietary tools or taste affecting your schema of high performance or even the options down or max.

The overview of consumption is more or less a new frontier for everyone here to work through this kind of problem is going to be informative and beneficial for all who read your thread, so please keep us posted as to how you are progressing with your current number.

    Hello

Blue screen of death (BSOD) may be caused by software or hardware problems.
To know if it of really a software problem, you can try running a HARD drive recovery procedure which would fix the laptop back to factory settings.

What is an option for you?
    If Yes, check this:
+ How to recover a Toshiba notebook with the HDD recovery procedure.

  • Satellite C660-2EL - Wireless n and the F8 function key does not show

Satellite C660-2EL - Wireless works sometimes, but mostly not. Wired connection is ok. When does not not Fn 8 does not appear and the wireless card does not appear in the devices.
    Pilot was handed in place.

Have tried reset default and many other things - yesterday was working - light today and not...

    Help!

    Hello

If the wireless network adapter does not work or its lack in the device, the FN + F8 key combination Manager would not work.
So the problem is your wireless network card.

The WLan card driver is missing or malfunctioning of the WiFi chip.
The device uses the Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.
Have you installed the chip RTL8188CE WLan driver?
    Make sure what you've done!

Otherwise, if the WLan card is not listed in the Manager (no unknown device or Ethernet controller) devices marked with yellow exclamation point I guess that the module is faulty.

  • Problems with Satellite C660 wireless

My day 7 old Satellite C660 is constantly does not connect to wireless internet. It connects then stops loading web pages. I don't get no access or limited access note on the tray icon of system, but when I display the available networks it shows as connected with good resistance. It drives me crazy and I think again the laptop to the store for a refund. Can anyone help?

Check if the BIOS update is available.
Only thing you can do is update the BIOS in the hope that everything will be OK.
I put t really know what else you can try.

Did you perhaps tested WLAN connectivity by router s friend?

  • Satellite C660: Wireless Internet when remove the power supply drops

    Hello
new Tosh Satellite C660 laptop works fine when the power supply cord is connected, soon as directed power is removed drops internet connection, usually to the second web page (the first web page is accessible, failure occurs usually when you try to access a new page)

When I connect the power cable, internet connectivity returns as usual!

I've been on the Advanced page setings power management,
I have power settings "balanced" set up, and for the realtek card wireless put the plug and batttery power to maaximum settings (before they were to the maximum for diet and balanced for battery) even if it has no impact.

The connection between the laptop and the wireless box seems 'excellent' level, the internet is the element which is a failure.

I use the standard realteck card from the laptop (Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC) a D-Link Wireless N Router (DIR-615 ver1.00) and standard Modem provided by Virginmedia who bring them my services to wide band.

    All suggestions are welcome!

    Hello

Try the Realtek WLan driver Realtek page.
    www.Realtek.com.tw

I read here in the forum that it has helped to get rid of these questions.
Of course, you must also disable as mentioned in your message to save energy.
