Power to the screen on the Aspire 9500

I used a laptop Aspire 93500 with Windows XP.

When XP retired, too, the screen started deterioratingand I gave her pension using Xubuntu Linux.

The screen slowly surrenders, and I hooked up a spare monitor. Something to play with, but not mobile...

Now I was given a nearly identical Aspire 9500, which was equipped with Windows 7. Slow as hell, of course.

Now, I want to give Xubuntu as well, but I can't get the machine to boot from the DVD. It also does not show the logo Acer and startup (F2 or F12 during startup) options like my first one.

Just try F2 or F12 stops booting with a 5 second beep about

What can we do?

Turn the machine off. Try to start typing F2 at the same time as you turn.

    Hello

    Very strange problem
Have you noticed this problem from the beginning?

First check if your BIOS is up to date. Updated the BIOS if the new version is available.
In addition it would be recommended to update the display driver.

But if two updates don't change this, then I recommend you contact an ASP in your country. It could be a hardware problem.

Put it on wait ten minutes if the phone did not come one, then hold down the sleep/Home button until you see the apple logo and then release, make sure that the phone is still connected to the charger.

    Hello Eric

As you know, on this way it is not possible to give an accurate diagnosis, just speculate what may be the problem. In my opinion it is certainly because of faulty electronics on board, but what, exactly, it is not easy to say. Try to contact someone who has experience with laptop repair procedure.

  • How to solve the problems of windows 10 shut down (power, lighting the keyboard is always on)?

    Nice day

How to solve the problems of windows 10 shut down (power, lighting the keyboard is always on)?

with regard to my question above. I need to hold the button of power for 5 seconds to completely shut down my laptop. even restart or sleep does not work well. I upgraded a real victory 8.1 to 10 free victory by that windows app reservation offered. IM using acer aspire v5 - 573 g i7, version gt750m, Finnish keyboard

solutions, I tried to random searches that did not work for me.
1 unchecking quick stop to power options
2 disabling hibernation in cmd (types a code forgot what I have)
    3. update all drivers and bios with sites acer official drivers, driver pack solution 15.8 and utility driver update intels
4 decommissioning intel management engine components driver 11 to 9.5
    5. go to the bios and reset to the default settings
    6 make a shortcut of "shutdown" with codes e.g. shutdown /s /t 0
    7. click Update stop

IM thinking of reinstalling windows 10 via recovery which removes applications, files, drivers, etc. and hope this solves. I can't roll back to win 8.1 because ive done this reset before you completely clean out my system of win random 8 and trashes the restore option was gone.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello/Hallo wuschel93,

exactly what I had. Stop number appears only after a certain time the laptop running.

The problem is INTEL MANAGEMENT ENGINE RELATED V.11!

I fixed it with uninstall Intel Management Engine Version 11. Windows will then install version 9.5 automatically. After that I turned off the automatic update of the driver for this device. You can also install 9.5 without uninstalling the old one, it wil crushed.

Other manufactures also have this problem, but while Acer is still asleep, they provide a solution (including download links):

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/sleep-and-shutdown-issues-after...

Maybe there are any other issues that result in the same problem. But in most cases, it's the answer. The thread Starter maybe forgotten to disable the automatic driver update or made installation of v9.5 evil?

  • HP DV6-6B25TX turn off after 10 to 15 seconds, regardless of the power of the battery or power supply

    Hello

MY DV6-6B25TX is cutting off after 10-15 seconds, regardless of the battery power or AC power.

Here's the complete scenario of what happened in recent weeks:--

Two weeks back I was using the laptop with the power adapter is plugged in for charging, the battery got charged up to 99% then it stopped charging and display the battery icon text, "plugged in, not charging".

A return of the week, the battery was 20%, after plugging in the charger, always the same message "Plugged in, no charging current".

Now the laptop does not meet the key power when the battery is inserted.

If I remove the battery and back again, it starts without pushing the power button and turns off after 10 seconds, well before Windows starts.

She stops even on the Bios screen, OS is not definitely the question.

When I plug in charger and press the power button / stop, the same thing, i.e. starts and shutts off after 10 to 15 seconds, regardless of the BIOS or Windows startup screen.

I removed the ram and but again, but the problem still persists.

Also there is no issue of overheating due to dust, as I've barely used the laptop for a few hours, the phone is about 6 months and under warranty.

    Please advice ASAP.

    Thanks in advance.

Honestly, something prevents the battery charge. Computer laptop closing seconds after that reinsert the battery is a good indication the battery just is not getting charged. This could be a battery failure, charger, port, or in rare cases of charge motherboard.

Since it's under warranty, I recommend you contact HP support that there is no easy solution for this on the forums. It's a hardware problem.

The number of the Canada and the United States support is 1-800-474-6836.

  • 660 s Office power - on the issues

I have a 660 s 3 years old Dell which has power problems.  It is running Windows 8.1.  If I do a restart of Windows, there is no problem.  The questions come with a full stop.

After a full stop, the system will not * usually * reverse.  Sometimes, okay, but not usually.  If I unplug the power cord and then hold the power button until the green light in the back of the screen off, it restarts normally.  Sometimes, I have to do a couple of times.  I noticed a very slight clicking noise when you hold button power, similar to an ignition on a gas Grill, but much quieter.  It may be normal but I noticed it.  It stops when the green light turns off.
I don't know if it is the power supply, the switch or the motherboard.  Ideas or additional troubleshooting steps should I take?  It seemed to happen sporadically at first, but now occurs whenever the system is completely shut down.

That looks like that the power supply has failed.

You can try to replace the battery in the motherboard first since it is only ~ discount stores to $2, if nothing else than to rule out, but I think that a new PSU could solve the problem.

I tried to completely remove the power and held the button for 30 seconds before replacing the battery and the power to the machine.

I really get to a stage of deperate as have all my pictures of children, family, wedding and honeymoon on my laptop.
    Please help if you can.

    Thanks in advance.

Good news first: your personal files on the HARD disk like photos, the photos should not be affected.

You could get access to the files to remove the portable computer HARD drive (details here: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU2603C20000R01.htm) and connect the HARD drive on another computer by using a USB-SATA 2.5 "case.

Now for the bad news: from my point of view of the few your laptop has developed a hardware failure serious; Maybe that it's just a problem of module of RAM... in this case, you need to replace only the modules of RAM but in the worst case, the motherboard could be defective and such a fix could be costly.
