PowerShell Stopped Working - error Windows 8 Windows Powershell has stopped working
For the last 6 months, I got the message, "Windows Powershell has stopped working" with the command prompt to close the program. I close it and more that probably happens about five or six times during the use. I've updated, due to AVG security scans, I even FOUND powershell.exe and removed and STILL get the message.
I don't know what to do. I'm so frustrated. I have a laptop Windows 8 AMD series. I would like to know if you want some more info!
Hello
I suggest you uninstall AVG and other third party of your system software. Then restart and run SFC/scannow command to the prompt administration control, reboot again and see if the problem is resolved.
Hope this helps, good luck :)

Thanks a lot guys.Hi PaulMazor,
Well first of all, btwapi.dll is a process no system developed by Bluetooth. If you go on your computer, try to disable Bluetooth by going to network and Internet or however your wireless interface is configured on your computer. If you don't have Bluetooth on your computer, try to uninstall it. go to start > Control Panel > programs > uninstall programs > scroll down and uninstall. My last suggesting opens upward, the Windows Task Manager (press ctrl + alt + delete and release). Go to processes and disable the application there. Other that that, I can't help you any further.Good luckDJ -

Hi Mr. Minister,
Your question is still there while in Safe Mode? If so, you try to run a SFC scan for troubleshooting the corrupted system files on your PC.
To perform a scan of the SFC, follow the steps on the following link: How to use the tool File Checker system to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or Windows 7
Your computer may also be infected and needs to be cleaned in order to work properly. I suggest that you try the steps listed in the related post below with your question:
You can also try a clean boot troubleshooting method to see if it helps you solve your problem.
I hope this helps. -
Error "Windows explore has stopped working" when you open the file in my documents
Original title: opening a file in the folder my documents
Whenever I try to open a file in my documents folder, specifically a CV that I downloaded on a construction site. I get a message that windows Explorer has stopped working?
Hi dalintn,
1. What is the file format of the document?
2. are you able to open documents from other locations?
3. did you of recent changes on the computer?
Check if the similar problem persists when you access the document from any other location on the computer.
Method 1
This error message can occur if there is some system files corrupted on your computer. I suggest that you run a SFC scan, which would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.
The analysis may take some time, so be patient. Windows allows to fix corrupt or missing files it finds. If the information of the installation CD is required to fix the problem, you may be asked to insert your Windows Vista installation CD.
For more information please visit the link below.
How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833
Method 2
If the previous step fails then I would suggest that you do clean boot and check.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
I hope this helps!

Win 7 error "Windows Explorer has stopped working"
Using Win 7 Home Premium, I get a pretty consistent message "Windows Explorer has stopped working" and the auto check routine does not come to the top with a solution. I know for sure I can do it almost everytime with a right click on the Recycle Bin (I'm trying to empty). My security program is Microsoft Security Essentials.
None of the positions worked for me. However, I could use the logger and hunt down later.
Here's how: go to the beginning
where it says, "computer", right click and select 'manage '.
under System Tools, select "Observer of events," look under "type of event" and find errors.
Scan down the list - make sure that the window is quite large, so you can see the errors in the last day (or maybe it's time).
When I did, I found many errors about "windows Explorer." When you click on one, it opens a box with details. All the ones I checked had the same details, more or less.
Most of the details seemed incomprehensible, but, in my case, a particular .dll kept being mentioned, file called AFLDLL. DLL.
what he said was: the name of the failing module: AFLDLL. Unloaded DLL or something to that effect
So, I went to start, search and put in AFLDLL. DLL and I was able to determine it related to a program for iomega dvd writer cd burning.
When I uninstalled this program from the Control Panel, add remove programs, the problem stopped.
Maybe the causes are different for different people. but at least it will give you an idea.
Maybe you can find some information on what is involved in your mistakes of "windows explorer".James H Waters

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop - clean, no upgrade. It's in the CARDS and not a copy of the beta version. When I try to connect to a network share, I get an error. "Windows Explorer has stopped working". If I go to start > run and type in \\servername\users, I'm prompted credentials. I enter domainname\administrator, then the password, as soon as I get an error message indicating that "Windows Explorer has stopped working" then by «Windows Explorer restarts...» "and then refreshes the screen. If I open computer > network > Servername, I invite myself again for credentials, but get the same message. The name of username/password combo does not seem to make a difference.
An additional singularity, I went to control panel > "Backup of your computer", and when I was invited to a network location back up my system, I gave him the same set of location and network credential and the system have been successfully saved to the network drive.
Press Win Logo key + R, type: fsmgmt.msc
If so, open the credentials manager in Control Panel and look for an entry like your network logon. Delete who can clear up.

Blocking Windows Explorer error Windows Explorer has stopped working
I'm working with my photos, and he repeats to me "Windows Explorer has stopped working" and then it stops. What can I do?
If the problem just started to happen, you can return to a State of operation with the ability to restore integrated. This will not affect any of your folders and only takes 2 minutes. You can cancel it even if you do not like, is by far the safer, faster, easier option. See here for more information: http://cmdrkeene.com/quickly-repair-pc-problems

Original title: Windows Explorer crash in Win7 and must restart
If you disable the faulty module, then you may lose some click functionality of the graphics driver from AMD.
But this should not affect the graphics driver himself.
Reinstall the driver has the potential to solve the problem.
As a matter of choice, you should be able to install the graphics driver AMD without the Catalyst Control Center, which can prevent the installation of the atiacm64.dll:
