  I bought my acer laptop g9-791 predator before 2 months and now the laptop does not start. The Start button is unresponsive on the battery, does too on the cable. The light to turn on, when the power cable is switch on.

  The laptop has stopped and there is no indication that there is life. I tried everything and finally I sent it to ACER's after-sales Service. Acer told me, everything is OK / tested it two day and blah blah / and the laptop is now working.

  I installed my mSATA card by following the instructions and the party went well. As a couple of other people the player is not recognized by Windows 7. I checked storage management in windows 7 and the drive is not there in any form. I disabled all the caches as suggest some positions in the policies for the drive in windows 7. Once again no drive recognized.

• XPS 8700 - new mSata does not start unless...

  I had my 8700 for a little more than a year and from the beginning, I put a 256 gb 2.5 SSD and everything has been good... unfortunately I ran out of room so I'm a 512 GB mSata and installed with the normal hiccups (bios setting, etc.) and for the most part, it works fine... installed win7 - all my programs games, media and all that. Well, now that I have everything there I was trying to format the original 1 TB hdd which served the initial boot (later converted to my games drive) drive and it refuses to format 'windows cannot format the system disk partition' I went into the BIOS and noticed his 1st listed in the order of the boot sequence.   The boot sequence is dynamic, so it does not matter if change you it in the bios. Each listed item will be sought for the boot files according to what is currently installed.   I agree to IronFly is not really necessary to update the chipset driver if you encounter any problems. I have helps, I got the same error. I did a new install with that ongoing, so it works great. Because of me looking at this error, it's almost due to problems with the IRQ of the Killer network. So, if you first clear the two WiFi and ethernet driver in Device Manager, it would be possible to update the chipset driver.

  Go to the Bios and disable start-up networ.

  Take windows as first boot device boot manager. If it isn't there, you should do a propper EFI install.

  I have a complicated situation. I tried to dual boot my laptop. Initially, he wasn't recording my USB and I read that I had to change UEIF to the old version.   Hi all. I recently bought an acer 15 predator model of the subject.it was not cheap. It came only with a 256 GB ssd. When I tried to add also a disk hard wd sata 3 I had a very unpleasant suprize. the blue protection plastic for the hard drive was missing inside and also, there was no visible sata connector attached to the motherboard. am I supposed to buy them separately? What is an act of the local dealer? When you check with them on the problem, they were not helpful at all. they just said I was 4 days after the 30-day free return date and it won't make anything on it.

  I feel that I bought a decent car and I don't have access to the trunk... tia for any advice

  This is what it looks like so low cover of my Acer Predator G9-591-70XR (Intel Core i7 6700HQ (2.60 GHz) GB DDR4 1 TB drive HARD 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 16 980 M 4 GB 15.6 "Full HD 1920 x 1080 HD Webcam Windows 10 64-Bit edition). I want to improve my RAM and SSD drive. I discussed a couple of days to buy the right RAM for my machine with the acer predator support officer, but the officer was not able to give satisfactory answers to the RAM I want to buy. It's the RAM I would buy (http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-2133c15d-16grs). Agent told me that I need a RAM with the value of voltage of 1.5. However, this machine has DDR4 Rams and as far as I know that ddr4s have value of voltage of 1.2. So my first question is if I buy a RAM with latency CASE 15-15-15-36, 1, 2V, 2133 mHz in dual configuration channel, if it works with my computer?

  My second question is about the SSD m2. As you can see from the picture, there is already an installed (above), SSD intrinsically I see an another slot above, I think it's a mini PCI-express. However this location is not consistent with the other SSD location. It's a little to the right. If I buy a card SSD M.2 similar or shorter, where screws it? There seems to be an empty hole on the left side, but the SSD will not reach there. So is there an adapter for it? If yes where can I find one?
