Problem starting on the new ACER Predator G9-791-73N7

Hi guys!

I have a problem starting on my new laptop that runs 10 64-bit windows.

I tried to reinstall windows and my first boot options is the HARD drive so why my laptop still shows me this screen? If I am connected to the internet, the process takes more time before entering the screen windows... is there a fix for this?

Thank you!

Hello

Go to the Bios and disable start-up networ.

Take windows as first boot device boot manager. If it isn't there, you should do a propper EFI install.

The problem that I have, is that when I start the laptop from the cold, IE turn it on to use, the SSD is not recognized and I just get a black screen with the top left corner flashing cursor, but if I press on Ctrl-Alt-Del, the system restarts and boots then in windows without problem.

  • Screen flickering on nine Acer Predator G9-791

I just bought a brand new Acer Predator G9-791.

I installed the default mode, that is, he did it himself. It has 10 Windows Home. I upgraded to Pro.

I added some software, I have need of development, Visual Studio and SQL Server.

Most early I noticed that the screen goes black and then comes back very quickly, apparently at random times. The "blink" lasts only a fraction of a second--as if the GPU resets something.

The problem happens as quickly after the other, making it difficult to use the laptop. Sometimes a whole day passes with nothing happening.

I noticed that when it happens, by moving the mouse over an object that reacts overview by painting a small area seems to curb the problem.

I'm having a problem of material here? I buy a faulty laptop?

It was almost the most expensive out there, so I would like it to work.

You can try to install this driver on the Acer support site?

  • Just got a new Acer Predator yesterday suddenly horrible lag frequent... Please help?

So I just bought an Acer Predator AG3-605-UR2F of Newegg.com, pre-installed with Windows 8 and receipt in the mail yesterday. It was working great until this morning, and now whenever I start the PC it works fine for about 20 to 40 minutes, then this shift terrible stuttering starts and doesn't stop until I reboot. It happens intermittently, every couple seconds, and all the sounds that play during the shift turns to this horrible grinding glitch. Even after I disable all my apps, it's still there, and it seems to get worse if I watch videos or a Skype call.

I can't seem to find answers online, and I don't know why a completely new computer would act this way? Any help at all would be appreciated!

Edit: The discrepancy seems if go away for awhile if I unplug my mouse and keyboard and then reconnect them, also my keyboard seems to have some sort of startup connectivity problems? I don't know if it's related, but it's the only other real issue in that I ran.

Or try this: Ctrl-Alt-Del to load the Task Manager
Search in the background process to find "Intel (r) technology access Service."
Right click and choose "end task".

    1. which Bluetooth application you are trying to open?
2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

You can try to open the Bluetooth software in clean boot and see if you can open the software.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Try to perform the clean boot and check if it helps, here is the link:

  • Windows 7 does not start on the new Satellite C660-195

    Hello

    I just bought a Toshiba Satellite C660-195 with Windows 7 pre-installed.

This morning I turned on it and it came with a black box with x:windows\system32\drvload.exe in it. This box then disappeared and Startup Repair kicked. He then told me that Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically. The notice were to remove any device that had recently been attached to the laptop (such as a webcam or music device) but I did not install a hardware or devices. I clicked finish and stop you the laptop.

I lit it again and it's the same thing (new!)

A forum would suggest trying the following: click on the link 'Show advanced options of the system and support recovery' who asked me to choose the configuration of my keyboard, but then when I do & click then it tells me "you must register to access system recovery options" I am never given the option connect!

When using the F8 advanced boot options I'm still not able to solve this problem. The same thing (see above) that happens when I try to start in all security modes, last good known Configuration (Advanced), debug mode, start Windows normally etc. I don't understand it.

Looking for other forums, they suggested dΘplaτant zero while running and then one selects Windows 7 to restore the laptop to its factory settings, but the same thing happens - it shows just the black screen with x:windows\system32\drvload.exe launched then startup repair, that does not solve the problem.

I don't have a disc of windows 7 to restore since I only bought the laptop 6 days ago and didn't have time to do a still. In addition, the laptop must have the restoration on his hard drive, but I can't access it to restore windows.

I'm just a home user understand all technical talk. Please can someone help me?

    Hello

Sorry to hear you I have this problem. The fact is that the new laptops come with only HARD drive recovery image and not with recovery DVDs. What you can try now is to install the recovery image using HARD drive recovery facility.
If this works you need out of the box again.

Please do it following the instructions in this document - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm

  • Pavilion p6 - 2120t: Windows will not start with the new graphics card

Installed a Zotac GT 740 profile down in my desktop PC graphics card HP Pavilion p6 - 2120t and now the PC does not start.

HP Pavilion p6 - 2120t CTO desktop PC

    Configuration:
    Intel Pentium CPU [email protected]
    4.0 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics Driver version Family: 8.15.10.2291 dated 27/01/2011
Motherboard: IPISB-CU (Carmel2) (1 open PCI Express 16 expansion slot pins)

    BIOS to Version 7.18

    Running:
    Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit w/service pack 1
Two monitors (VGA, 1 digital port 1)

Before installing the new graphics card, I replaced the power supply original 300w with a 400w power supply.

For starters, I disabled the onboard graphics in Device Manager. Then, I opened the case and installed the GT-740 in the open PCI Express slot. I made sure that the card was fully engaged in the slot.

I plugged both monitors to their connections voted on the new map.

When I tried to boot the PC, the digital monitor displays the screen HP (the one that indicates which key support to achieve the start menu) and then frozen. No other entries of key or mouse have been accepted.

The PC then sounds 4 short beeps (about 10 seconds between each beep) and then a long beep before turning off the signal to the screen.

Then, I removed the new graphics card on the PC that starts then. I have reactivated the original graphics drivers and the PC then worked normally.

Tried the above process two more times with the same results.

I then went into the start menu to look at the BIOS. The menu of the BIOS shows two options:

    > Sources of boot UEFI

    Windows Boot Manager

    > Sources of boot legacy

    ATAP I CD/DVD player

    SATA2

    Hard drive

    SATA0

Network controller (Realtek PXE B06 D00)

PC using UEFI Boot Manager Windows boots normally

I have not tried Legacy Boot Sources because I don't know which one to choose.

I went to the HP site and looked for an update to the newest BIOS, but updating them is a rev version 7.16 while my PC shows my BIOS to version 7.18

I know that others have had a similar problem but I have not seen a solution that works for my PC.

    Any advice would be welcome.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hello

Your PC isn't spec'd to run Windows 7 using the Windows Boot Manager.  I expect to a UEFI-based graphics card likely to work on an HP PC that does not have a BIOS version 8.

The below listed OEM HP, graphics cards should work in your PC using a normal non - UEFI W7 and W8 installation.

  • SMU 8108 does not start with the new hard drive

    Hello

    I am currently using SMU 8108 with SMU-1062 q.

The previous record was borken, so I had to install a new hard drive.

The new hard drive is fommatted as NTFS format, and it is currently mounted on 8108.

Unfortunately, I don't have recovery disk available to the general public so I am trying to install Windows 7 on a blank hard drive.

When you start, the LED OK PWK light is all the time, orange DRIVE LED turns on for a few seconds only when I turn on the switch.

LabVIEW RT switches are all off, I cleared CMOS several times to the Board of Directors, but the screen does not show anything.

I tried to use my DVI monitor with any other device as well, and it worked, so there is no problem with the monitor.

In addition, I tried to go in window safe mode by pressing F8 or Del it didn't work, so I can't see anything on the screen when his kick upward.

I tried to put a lot of information I can it will be very appreciated if you can help me with this problem please.

You said that you can't in Windows safe mode, you have installed Windows on the hard drive?  Are you able to get into the BIOS of the controller?

If you are not able to access the BIOS for the controller, it may be due to bad RAM.  If you are uncomfortable installing RAM and you have a few extra laptop RAM of the same type (I think it's the DDR3 for your controller) laying around, you can try to replace the RAM.

Was your hard drive damaged through certain events, or it just stop working?

  • I have problems to install the new version of messenger

would like to download the new version of messenger, but when I try to install it goes to about 74% and then it restores and don't install, then he sends me to the page more or less remove windows live essential but I try but does not currently I have version 2009 (build 14.0.8064.2060) would like to have info thanks.

    Hello BYFIELD, welcome.

I recommend trying a clean boot to see if maybe parts of the Live Essentials are running in the background. Try this:
    1. click on START
2 type "msconfig" (without the quotes) and press enter
    3. go to the "Startup" tab and uncheck all the entries displayed
    4. click on 'Apply' at the bottom right
    5 restart your computer
Then try to update of Live Messenger. If this does not resolve the problem, try to force - remove the application by Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (WICU)
    2. download the file to your computer, run the package and install the utility
    3. run the utility that should be in your menu START > programs section
    4. Select Live Essentials and run through the process to remove it
    5. next, restart your computer and try to reinstall Live Messenger

  • Incredible problems to get the new workgroup C8180 All-in-one

I bought a C8180 All-in-one printer to the end of September. When I plugged in and installed the software, everything seemed to function OK (I didn't test printing from the computer at the time), but after a short period of time to print Microsoft Word and Wordpad failed, started working and then failing again every time I reinstalled the software to try to solve the problem. Then began a long series of emails with HP technical support. In the next two weeks I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software 6 or 7 times in several different ways, under the instruction of HP. But he never could get Word and Wordpad works correctly. Finally, once again, under order of HP, he worked with a fake installation of HP Deskjet 990c printer. Then I noticed that it was more possible to digitize documents and slides to the computer, except by using a chip memory such as an intermediate storage. Then I went on vacation after spending about 30-40 hours two weeks previous emailing and calling the HP technical support.

Back from vacation in the third week of October, I took the issue once again with HP support. Yet once, I spent hours and hours writing emails and reinstalling the software but to no avail. HP finally proclaimed this a problem difficult and said that it would increase the level of support. A gentleman named Sylvester who sent someone would phone a day pre-arranged to see more advanced techniques could be applied to the problem. Needless to say that the phone call came not despite my cancelling several meetings to wait in it (I should have better that they had promised to phone back me several times before and has never done).

Finally, I called customer service to the local office of HP. (At least you can get to them without having to listen to the music for half an hour for the price of 5 p / minute.) They said that they would ensure someone would contact me and would monitor the call to ensure that happened. A week later I ' d has received no call, and I went to the local customer service. Has been raised to the top level of management, and finally, after a few reminders more than me, they managed to get a senior technician, called Natheem, in their technical service Cap to call me.

He has been very helpful (and actually phoned me several times), and finally he forced me to go through the complicated process of getting Microsoft in India (via a conference telephone with Cape Town and myself - apparently it would have cost me a lot in telephone charges, but I have not had the Bill) to give advice on how to spend my Windows XP with service pack 2 and my internet explore to IE6. I reinstalled the C8180 software once again. No difference, still the same problems, except that now, Microsoft Word would work with the HP C8180 printer driver.

At this point, Natheem said that it must be a hardware fault and arranged for the device must be replaced.

The new unit arrived last Thursday. I again carefully uninstalled and reinstalled the software, connected to the machine and got the same problems, but once again with Microsoft Word cannot print with the C8180 printer drivers.

I tried to contact Natheem again once in Cape Town this afternoon. After half an hour of expensive music additional I have with a person named Waleed who said that Natheem is on a call but he would get to call. No call came.

So on the forum, I would like advice on what to do with a new HP C8180 All-in-One printer which:

    1. not print Word documents (except by using a printer deskjet 990c driver)
    2. used to scanning documents or transparent to the computer
    3. will not print photos from the computer using HP photosmart essential, or other photo editing software

I'm also rather fed up of the assistance provided by HP. When you get through them they always try to help, but pass through, especially for someone who knows your case is more frustrating (and costs). In an attempt to get the thing, I also had to downgrade my computer Windows XP service pack 2 OS and my internet explore to IE6. I spent probably 50-60 + hours of the last two months, trying to get the thing work.

Any advice on what to do next would be welcome.

    BobA

    Hi David,

Well, my story has a happy ending. I stopped trying to untangle the printer after a whole month of working hours, including a lot of phone calls to the SA and responidng to dozens of emails. But then I bought my wife a laptop Toshiba for Christmas - and it worked perfectly first time. In any case, my computer was in a bit of a mess especially when the messing around I had done on this to HP support, so I decided to reload my operating system (after reformatting hard disk), I just finished. And guess what the C8180 works perfectly (at least until now anyway)! I just updated my OS to SP2 (according to HP support the C8180 has problems with SP3), and I kept my Internet Explorer version 6 (higher versions - 7 I think - again can cause problems according to HP support). I somehow use Firefox. But now its work, its quite an impressive machine.

I want to say individual personnel in support of HP thin is always very friendly and helpful. It's just a phone, it costs and often listen to music for a long time, its very difficult to get hold of the same person again, if you spend hours to repeat the details of your problem, and despite vehement promises they call you rarely back - probably because they are too busy. His support system which is very poor, not the support staff.

In any case you have a different problem. If your printer does not work on computers with different operating systems. I would say that you have good arguments to either get a new printer or your money under the guarantee.

    Good luck

  • Windows 7 does not start with the new msi motherboard

Yesterday, I bought a new motherboard, processor and 8g of ram in my computer. After all what adjustment and replacement of my old motherboard with the new, I started my computer to find that Windows 7 unbootable not. Instead of windows 7, I get the screen click on BIOS II (2). The configuration screen allows me to launch Winki but not Windows 7 because it was not found. The motherboard came with a utility disk drivers msi and AMD chipset which, when inserted in my hard disk, loads up to Winki. This version of windows 7 (Home Premium 64-bit) came pre-installed with my old mother/computer(Thus, I do not have the windows 7 installation disk) card. Is there a way I need to activate Windows 7 on my new motherboard?

    Hello

Well, you have some problems. First of all, with a new motherboard you need a new copy of Windows - not only the DVD, but a whole new product key must be purchased. It's just the terms of the license: a new motherboard is equivalent to a new computer, and each computer must have its own copy of Windows.

So where you buy your copy of Windows 7, I would make sure that it came with a DVD image. Otherwise, you can tell us which version of Windows 7 you (will) actually buy, and we can send you a link to the copy of the DVD for this version of Windows 7.

To purchase a copy of Windows 7 you can check Newegg.com, here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=windows+7&N=-1&isNodeId=1 .

I hope that answers your question.

  • My dv7-2180us ceased to start with the new SSD (work)

    Hi people,

Just got THE Vertex 100 GB SSD last night, installed on my Pavilion DV7 laptop and went to the city. Installed Windows 7, flashed the bios to 0.41, installed the chipset, storage and display of HP drivers, installed office, installation of visual studio, patched and patched and patched again. All in all, it was three hours and 10-15 restarts with nary a problem. The _only_ glitch I met was at the very beginning, when the installer of Windows 7 stuck during the "expansion of the files. I just clicked on 'back', re-picked the scores he has already made and further success.

I turned off the machine last night and this morning it would not start. He would just stroll downtown. I tried pulling memory and disk, he beat POST, second addition of add-on, player still worked, added, crash. Replaced the SSD drive with my drive OEM, fine boots.

I thought the drive was toast, but put in a USB enclosure to make sure. It works perfectly.

Any suggestions? Seems to be a potential problem between HP, maybe the new bios (?) and the reader, but I can't understand why he spent so long after it flashes without problem.  Could I go back to an older version of flash?

    Thank you!

It would not be a bad idea to head over to ocztechnologyforums.com to check that you have the latest firmware recommended on the SSD. I followed the guide for my SSD Vertex and have had zero problems with my installation of Windows 7.

You should be able Flash the BIOS of your laptop computer to the previous version.

  • Embedded audio player doesn't work with Firefox in a laptop computer, but works fine on a PC. How can I fix? It started with the new design of Firefox.

This problem apparently only occurs with the audio player built into http://www.theskepticsguide.org/ . I tried other embedded audio players from other websites and they work fine. In the Firefox installed in my laptop, no matter what I do it does not play the SGU podcast. When I try to click on the download option it says "Video cannot be read because the file is corrupted. However, I can play and download the podcast without any problem with Firefox installed in my PC, which is the exact same version that is in my laptop, so I don't really know what could be the cause.

I remember that this was not the case before the new design of Firefox. I tried the solutions proposed on this problem before asking this question. I checked that the plugins are up-to-date. I removed all the addons and plugins, and this did not help either. Firefox reset with no luck. Also tried a fresh install of Firefox and it didn't work. I used the laptop without synchronization first, and then synchronize with no difference. Flash is up to date and there is no apparent problems there.

Maybe it's a codec missing or damaged? I wouldn't trust codecs from sources other than Microsoft for this purpose, since Firefox tries to use Windows to read the file.

If you decide to give up and around the native player for a plugin, these changes of settings usually work for this:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the filter box, type or paste media and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) [except XP], double-click on media.windows - media - foundation.enabled to change its value from true to false.

    (4) double click on media.directshow.enabled to change its value from true to false.
