PresentationFontCache.exe uses 50% + of my CPU
PresentationFontCache.exe uses 50% + of my CPU and so my 64-bit Windows 7 system to run even more slowly than it did with Vista. Is there one solution other than to kill whenever I start?

PresentationFontCache.exe service is only useful if you use WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) applications. If this is not the case, start services.msc and disable the service.

PresentationFontCach.exe hogging CPU
I do volunteer work in a few local retirement communities helping people with their computers. I've noticed recently, two computers that have been unusually slow. The CPU usage was close to 100%, even if no application was running. When I ran the resource monitor, it appeared that a process called PesentationFontCache.exe consumed a huge percentage of the CPU usage. When I tried to stop this process, it has restarted immediately itself.
Can someone give me advice on this? What is - this and it is likely is the root of the computers slow?

I suspect that PresentationFontCache is not a native Windows file. Where it resides on the hard drive? If it is not in a system folder then I would disable the application via msconfig.exe.

Presentationfontcache.exe constantly using cpu
This program begins with a minute or two after the passage on top of the tower and uses all my CPU. I can stop him running by selecting 'Process' in resources, through manager.but Task Manager on what it starts again on the switch.
I deleted of Microsoft.net / framework / wpf.But I can't remove it from Microsoft.net / framework 64/ wpf like told me that this can be done by a TrustedInstaller.Can I stop the program of commissioning on the switch on or how to remove it of Microsoft.net / frame 64/ wpfHello
I don't delete as it is not recommended. I would rather disable the service.
You can disable the service via start > type services.msc
In the list, find Windows Presentation Foundation 3.0.0.0 police Cache. Double-click it to open the Properties dialog box.

Cannot install Net Framework 3.5
I was able to uninstall .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 in my add and remove programs.
Then when I checked to see the updates it is still listed in my add and remove programs
with these updates applied, I use Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3
When I tried to reinstall Net Framework 3.5 SP1, I get an error of configuration with no error code.

Disks hard not found on normal startup, but reappear in Mode safe
I had problems with my system, since I manually (like to press the power button) shut down my system XP W when ThinkPoint gave me a screen fake infection and wouldn't let me close the window. After that, all symptoms shouted 'virus' (slow performance, browser redirections, etc.) then I ran scans with MacAffee, Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware. Malwarebytes found two instances of bad registry, but SAS and Macaffee entries do nothing are, repeatedly. Also, when I tried to boot the system after the scans, I arrived at the last MS Windows display before the connection of the guest user and after five seconds of so on this window, a blue screen popped up for literally less than half second, and the computer restarted after the BIOS screen. It simply wouldn't start with extra hard drives connected (1 SATA channel and two EIDE disks) UNLESS I started in safe mode. Then she start and recognize all readers.
After a nice weekend by removing what was left of my hair, and after reading MSE on the web, I uninstalled MacAfee, downloaded and installed MSE; so quickly found seven problems. They are (were):

MonitoringTool:Win32 / KGBKeylogger! DLLAfter performing the analysis and removing the offending files I tried to reconnect the SATA 1 canal drive, but got the same behavior; a normal start to the last image of Windows XP for low resolution, then quick blue screen (which, although I tried several times by pressing the pause/break key I still have to read... my fingers seem not to be fast enough to catch it) and repeated that it recharges, all with the same effect. My question is if I burned my motherboard, or is there something I'm missing. Oh, and one of the attempts of repair was a relocation complete W XP and all the service packs and updates. Still no access to the hard drives. As I am a photographer/editor, and there are about 2 million files on my hard drive I sort of need them.

Safe mode is just Windows running with most of the programs and services. Usually when Safe Mode works fine, but the Normal Mode is not, it is because a program or a Service that starts in Normal Mode interferes somehow. How to attack, that is to use 'msconfig' utility of Microsoft selectively enable/disable optional programs and miscellaneous services until you find one that gives you grief. This can be a long trial and error method. In addition, it is unlikely that you have a hardware problem, if you can access the drives in safe mode.

Method 1:
PresentationFontCache.exe service is only useful if you use WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) applications.
If this is not the case, try the following steps:
a. click Start type services.msc in the start search box.
b. search for Windows Presentation Foundation do a right-click on the same service and disable the service.Method 2: Try these steps and check if it works:
a. click on Start click on my computer.
b. go to C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\ delete all Font*.dat and restart the computer.You can also consult the vis with a similar problem and check if it helps.

I have problems with my X 201 t when you use Skype and any dissemination of video online. The sound quality is poor and video often impossible.
I have another computer running windows 7 (Macbook/Bootcamp) and who has no problem at all. It appears therefore as a Lenovo hardware problem. I tried all the usual internet temp drain and program deletions of records. I also used Tuneup Utilities program, but it doesn't always work well.
This flaw makes the X201t a tool totally useless businness for mobile work for me.
Solutions/suggestions welcome/desperately!
I found a solution
Boot exteranal umbuntu showed that the computer was fine, as did dual boot another copy of windows 7.
Trying to avoid more time admin I persisted in trying to solve rather than to go for a clean install and finally found that it was the problem. It was the process PresentationFontCache.exe aspire CPU power and apparently affecting other processes.

"Once I stopped * PresentationFontCache.exe" the CPU usage fell to less than 10% (close to 100%) and the computer works since like a rocket without any problem
