prevention installation internal error 2503/2502 programs

I'm trying to install steam, but I keep frustrated by installation of braking internal error 2503/2502 boring. Please can someone help me before I completely lost my mind?

Go to your control panel and click on folder options.
Select the view tab and check Show hidden folders and files

Navigate to c:\windows

Right-click on the installation folder and select Properties

Click the Security tab.

Make sure that the Everyone group has read & execute, list the contents of the folder and read the value to enable.
The system group has all selected to allow except for special permissions
The Administrators group has all selected to allow except for special permissions

I can't install any programs. error 2503, 2502

I have windows 7 os. the problem is that I can't install almost any program. as an example, I download a program, I'm beginning to "run" it and at the end when left a few seconds the installation stops and I get an error table - "Setup has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. The error code is 2503 ". And after this one, I get second error table - "Setup has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2502 ".
And I with update of adobe reader is the same. I can not install updates.

RecordNow version 7.32.1 build 08F update problem - internal error 03f2.8007007b

The machine is T30 with Windows XP Professional SP2
(RecordNow preinstalled 4.10 ver)

There are accessible RecordNow 7.32.1 update leave ThinkVantage System Update (classified as an option).

When I try to install it, I get the installer internal error 03f2.8007007b. Update is interrupted at this stage.

I know that it is subject of RecordNow, not TVSU. Because the update downloads OK and integrity is verified. Anyway, I couldn't have this resolved using the Roxio support forums:

Reinstalling this software on a formatted drive itself was really a nightmare. I had to search for days to find a copy of the RecordNow program for my CD-RW/DVD drive on my T30 2366FBU system. After finding on the Lenovo site, it (rn732108f.exe)

Blithely, I downloaded and it chose auto install for me. The process went well thanks to complete until the installation when a pop up stating

"This program can be used only on hardware IBM or Lenovo" ?????

Then stopped dead without having to install.

The directory and the installed files are protected by Word and I am at square one.

Installation fails with "internal error 2502.

I have a client that is running Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) and my application setup CVI-built fails with "internal error 2502.

This installation kit has been deployed successfully on hundreds of computers with different versions of Windows, and I never saw it. No device drivers or advanced libraries - just standard execution. I use CVI 9.0.1.

Some old problems with the Office installation, date/time settings etc. of research show very little - but I still found nothing which indicates what means this error.

Ideas or ideas very welcome.

You can also try to give permission for the two above mentioned registry keys. Check for multiple entries, registry keys, and give permission to all keys.

a. click Start, type regedit in the search box and press on ENTER.

b. click on edit and select find and type the copy and paste the registry key: {837EE547-6D3B-7124-817B-A0DDC38CDA99} and click Next.

c. right-click on the key component and select permission.

d. click Add, type everyone and click ok.

e. Select group or the user name one by one and check the complete control of the area for all.

f. click apply, click Ok.

g. check for multiple entries for the key. If one is present, then repeat the steps above to give perimmision to all keys.

Note: You must give permission to the {182C2188-3F15-CE6C-1FC2-23A0CB4637D1} key by following the steps mentioned above.

For a while know, I tried to install and to uninstall some programs (LogMeIn Hamachi, Sony Vegas Pro, etc.) every time I get error codes 2502-2503. I googled around, and it seems that none of the solutions on these forums, or anywhere else, works. I managed to find a code that gave me the 'run as administrator' back when I right click of msi, and that fixed my problem with installing programs. But I can not uninstall many programs. I'm trying to uninstall Sony Vegas Pro, but it gives me this error. Can anyone help?

The simplest solution is maybe just reinstall Sony Vegas Pro and then see if you can uninstall correctly.

See if you have any mention of a "UninstallString:" listed in the registry in accordance with this article.

If you want to see what MSI files for what programs etc, either browse your folder C:\Windows\Installer (a hidden file and system) or type C:\Windows\Installer
in the search box. Then click on the view menu in the window that appears, click Sort by,
and select choose columns, select the box called "Subject", let alone all of the boxes already ticked. The install file will fill after a few moments, and you can see what .msi files you have and which programs, respect to via the list of topic (tab) "subject".

If you had of .msi in there (you maybe used) right-click on it will give you an option to uninstall, repair or installation.

It may be necessary to show both hidden and system files and also uncheck 'Hide known file types' in Control Panel / folder Options / view to navigate to the location of the specified installation folder.

Two weeks and we don't know what is your Service Pack, what is your antivirus/antimalware environment... We know that you have XP Pro 32-bit however.

Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success about the errors with the extension and to what other people have done on it... Maybe just to get an update of the program that adds the suspicious extension.

You can Google something like:

(you must complete your suspect on behalf of add on)

See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...

Right click and disable the extensions one at a time non-Microsoft keep a list so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary. Test your failure condition.

If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.

Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled.

Disable them one at a time until your right click on do not generate an error, then restart and test again. You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.
