  If all goes well are more likely to have this problem resolved as my last post.,.

  When I saw my site using Preview in browser it has the same appearance that my layout page in muse, but when I download to the catalyst for business display via the test url is different. I emptied everything I can with regard to browsers and tried the URL on all schools and it's the same thing, it does not look good. In addition, everything is well aligned in muse and when he died in BusinessCatalyst its all a few pixels.

  I can't show my client test site until this is sorted.

  Can someone tell me why this is please?

  Just a heads-up that I solved the problem by putting in place another test in British Colombia site and it worked perfectly first time. So either my firewall / anti-virus has a mind of its own or BC is very picky. Anyway it works now, so if anyone out there has this issue, as I have just put up another site to test BC under a different name and it will work.

• Preview in browser - creation mode where are they!

  Office of Dreamweaver CC has been greatly reduced, but I am getting very frustrated because by watching various tutorials, I can't get the displayed options Design/Live in Overview of switching web designs | Adobe Dreamweaver tutorials CC, nor can I see in Lynda tutorials. I don't see anyway to show Design view is other than through Split. Also I can't find the preview in browser option.

  I put the in the preferences.

  Can't think where else to look for, and believe me, I tried!

  I create a new website using Adobe Dreamweaver CC 2014. I tried to preview in Chrome and I got an error message saying: "this browser no longer exists in the location specified in the preview in browser preferences." It presents a fine Preview in Internet Explorer. I'm using Chrome as my default, but I personally have not gone and reset anything, so I don't understand why this is happening since I created my latest Dreamweaver site. Any ideas how can I fix?

• Why can not see my web page "Preview in browser"?

  When I try to open a web page with "Preview in browser" I get an internal server error message.  I can open the website normally under Firefox and Iexplorer without problem.  If I click on the test button to manage the sites/change dialog box, I get a confirmation e-mail to connect to the server. It is a recent issue. It's already worked.  Any suggestions?

  Thank you.  After reading your response, I reallized that after getting a new computer, I've been neglecting set local site after reinstallation of DW.

• "Preview in browser" shows only the slices

  I've been working on a mutli-page Web site model. When I add the slices to my design and then select "Preview in browser" ONLY the slices are appearing. Only when I remove the slices can I saw my overall design.

  Ideas? For the life of me, can't understand this.

  Try to go to file > HTML Setup. In the category of specific Document, make sure that 'Include areas without slice objects' has been selected.

  

• Page looks different in preview and browser

  I use the Acordion Widget on the left side of my page and left a video from a third party on the right side.

  When I click on 'PREVIEW', I see the page appear in the top image. When I click on"PREVIEW in BROWSER", it appears as in the image background, which, by the way, is the way I designed it to look. Is there a reason for this discrepancy and who should I trust? I'm not ready for release yet, so, how do I check in a real world environment?

  

  I lose the top and bottom of the images 'bookend' around the Acordion Widget as well as the button at the bottom. And the video window and the text are spread out to the wide to the right.

  I changed the video I decided to show in the page and when I checked the PREVIEW, it displayed correctly. I don't know if the embed code had nothing to do with the problem or not, but it seems to be fixed. Thanks for your help.

  Using Dreamweaver CS4 or CS5? If you're using CS5, please make sure that everything is up-to-date by going to help-> updates...

  If you are using CS4, be sure to download the latest extensions here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?searchfield=BrowserLab & search_exchange = & num = 25 & startnum = 1 & event = search & sort = 0 & interim_dummy_ tmpfield = & submit =

  Once you're sure you're all to date, I think you should see the preview in browser option. But if you haven't, you should be able to go to the window-> Extensions and select the Adobe BrowserLab option that should make the BrowserLab panel appear inside Dreamweaver. From there, you can choose the previews Local or network and click the Preview button to view your screenshots in BrowserLab.

  I installed xampp on a computer network in order to set up a php mysql Web site.

  Using dreamweaver on my local machine, I've implemented the new site. Please see below...

  (The folders below are on the C drive network - not my local machine)

  local root folder: "xampp\htdocs\mysite."

  file of the test server: "xampp\htdocs\mysite."

  Prefix of the URL : http://localhost/mysite

  When I try to preview in the browser, I get this error message:

  HTTP Error 404.0 - not found

  For me, it looks like he's trying to find the file "info.php" on my local computer when it is in fact on a computer on the network.

  I opened a session on the computer on the network using desktop connection remote to test the info.php file in Internet Explorer and it works very well.

  Localhost is an alias for the IP loopback address used by each computer to identify itself. If these files are on drive C of the computer on your network, you must use the IP address of the computer on the network, instead of localhost. Other information you give shows that the computer tries to find localhost on your own computer running IIS, not of XAMPP.

  You need to add a command line switch in the browser to "Preview in browser". DW 'add browsers' and 'Edit' will not accept command line switch. Created a shortcut of Windows with necessary command line switch, but DW will not allow a shortcut as a path to the browser either.

  I have not tried, but try adding the switch directly in the preferences. The preview in the browser settings are stored here:

• "Preview in browser" in Captivate 4.

  Hello-

  I recently move from Captivate 1 to Captivate 4 (a big jump, I know).   I used to use the ability "Preview in browser" intensively in vs 1.0, but it does not work for me in 4.0.    The process seems to work, and I get a progress bar indicating ".swf file compression" which runs until the end, then disappears.  I get no browser window with my presentation.

  X next overview slides works.

  This happened to someone else, or could someone tell me what is the problem?   I really miss this feature.

• Preview in browser shortcuts do not work

  Intel Core 2 Duo, Tiger 10.4.10 iMac 2.8
  
  I set as my default browser in Safari preferences.
  I click option + F12, but my sound system preferences opens instead of Dreamweaver opening preview in Safari.
  I have Firefox configured as my secondary browser.
  When I click command + F12 it just turns my volume.
  I tried to change my default browser from Firefox, same results.
  In the case where the file has been corrupted, I tried closing Dreamweaver and move my library / preferences Dreamweaver on my desk... That no longer works.
  Any ideas?
  
  BTW, I can get a preview by using the file menu, it is only the shortcuts that do not work.

  Question

  There are some function in default Dreamweaver keyboard shortcuts keys
  for the functions of the Mac OS System X 10.4. Attempt to run a
  function within Dreamweaver by using these function keys happen to place one
  Mac system function:

  * The F12 function key is reserved on the Macintosh for the dashboard
  utility.
  F9, F10 and F11 function keys are reserved on the Macintosh for
  the utility of expose.
  * Command-F5 turn on Mac "Voice Over" feature.
  * The PowerBooks and iBooks using the additional function keys for screen
  brightness (F1 & F2), his (F3, F4 & F5) and keyboard lighting (F8).

  Solution

  * Change the Dreamweaver keyboard shortcuts. In the Dreamweaver menu.
  Select Dreamweaver > keyboard shortcuts.
  Note: To change the shortcut to preview in the browser, when the keyboard
  Shortcuts dialog box opens, choose Document editing in the commands menu,
  then scroll to the preview in the main browser to set another
  shortcut.
  * Use the menu instead of keyboard shortcuts commands. For example,.
  Select your browser by choosing File > Preview in browser > favorite
  Browser.
  * Change the shortcut key for dashboard and expose them in the Macintosh
  System Preferences: Apple Menu > System Preferences > Dashboard & presentation.
