Print employment disappears in windows 7

After the upgrade to windows 7 Edition family premium 64 bit vista through the hp upgrade program on my new computer, my printer print is no longer with the driver updated for windows 7. When I print all that work goes to the queue and disappears quickly without anything being printed. I spoke with hp 3 times and they have not been able to fix it.

Here are a few details that were required by hp:

  • Which version did you start?  -Vista Home Premium 64-bit
  • What version of Windows 7 did you end up installing? t - Win7 Home Premium 64 bit
  • What hp printer has been installed in the old version of windows? -Photosmart all-in-One C6150
  • Where the software is installed for the printer comes for example CD or Web download

If CD if you can find it now, what is the number written on it?

If web download about when you downloaded it? -Downloaded today to make sure that it was the most recent.

  • How the printer is connected to your PC? USB
  • All other printers installed on your PC? NO.
  • Finally, the version of the printer driver currently installed that will not print? Series of HP Photosmart C6100 (61.63.249.34)
    Help, please!
    Thank you

Hi ilovesostco,

Thanks for posting. If the above does not work, and if it is a new computer with a Windows 7 upgrade disk provided by HP. I would make a system restore using the recovery partition. It will come back to your computer again in the box. From here, try the upgrade again. Caution as this will erase all data. If you have questions about how to do this, you will need to contact HP.

I hope this helps! Shawn - Support Engineer - MCP, MCDST

  • HP Envy 4500: Print jobs disappear from the print queue and not print (Windows 7).

I just bought a HP Envy 4500 printer,

When you attempt to print from a PC with windows 7 OS home pro (64-bit), the print job appears in the queue and then disappears, but the printer does not print anything.

Everything else seems to work very well know

    • The printer prints the internal test page
    • The printer does print when you use iPad2
    • The printer does print when you use ePrint
    • The PC recognizes and communicates with the printer (tried with USB connections and wireless)
    • Analysis feature works very well - when initiated from the PC and printer

    I tried

    • uninstalling and reinstalling the software (several times using software from different sources)
    • restart the printer queue service
    • Disabling the firewall
    • running printing HP and doctor Scan
    • following the instructions described here (the question is the same but the different operating system):

Print jobs disappear from the print queue and print (Windows 8)

    • combinations of all of the above

Absolutely no joy in any of them, and in spite of more than 2 hours of research on Google and forums search I can't find a solution.

HP... can you give me a solution or is that goes back to the shop?

Well I finally worked on the fix myself by trial and error.  I changed the security settings for 'All' and 'Creator owner' to 'Print' and "Administer Documents".  Why on earth they were not automatically allowed as part of the installation, I couldn't really say.

Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

    Thanks for providing this information.

Download and run the Print and Scan doctor. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically.

Set the driver prints directly on the printer to see if you have the same results.

Go to start devices and printers, right click on the printer, on the left, click printer properties, click the Advanced tab,

Select Print directly to the printer, apply and OK.

If you still have questions, then I ran the scrubber on the CD to remove all the printer files and start again.

  • Network printers disappear in Windows 7

I connect to two printers on my office network.  One is a Dell, the other laser printer a HP deskjet printer.  They have worked very well for many, many months, both for me and for my colleagues.

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7, XP and have worked out the kinks.

I noticed today that, after the restart, my network printers are visible in the devices dialog box and printers.  However, at the time when I try to print from Word or Excel (maybe other things as well; they are the only two apps I tried), they both disappear, me leaving no printer.

Excel gives me the message "no printer is installed."

If I try to add printers, I get a message, "Windows can't open add printer."  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. »

I reboot, they show once again.  Try to print, they disappear again.

Could be a coincidence, but I installed Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 today.  Don't know what it would be important, however.

    I am running Office 2007.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you!

    Andy

    Update:
It seems that the problem is caused by Office 2007.  I can print fine go to Outlook, but when I try to print from Word or Excel, printers disappear - and I have to restart to recover.

In addition, nobody else in the Office has the problem.  They can all fine print.

    Thank you!

    Andy

    Andrew,

I'm assuming that your server is configured as a print server. If so, the drivers are stored on the server. When you install the printer, these drivers install on your local workstation. There is a good chance that the server currently has no Win7 drivers installed, you receive the drivers who are probably not compatible with Win7.
A good way to solve this problem is to print directly to the printer, rather than via the print server. Since I am more familiar with Dell printers, I'm going to try to help you get that one up and running.
You can get the Dell printer model?

  • When I try to print a document, a window opens upward to to save the document.

    Original title: print printer print

I have a series HP1200 printer.  Everything is properly connected and allows you to print a page of test very well.  When I try to print a document, a window opens upward to to save the document.  While it is to save the print icon shows that I have a single document in the queue.  After that is it registered, she disappears.  There is no error message and he never prints the document.  First of all, I don't want to save each document that I need to print, secondly why is it not printing?

It sounds like you have Microsoft XPS Document Writer or some PDF Pseudo-printer set as default printer. Set your HP1200 as default printer and if it is configured correctly with the Windows 8 driver you should get a piece of paper printed instead of a computer file.

  • Pavilion a1400n: Windows XP driver for a LaserJet 1200 printer attached to a Windows 7 computer

Where can I find the driver Windows XP on a 32-bit PC wants to be able to add a printer connected to a PC running Windows 7 64 bit which are on my home network?

I worked through the process of adding a printer to my Windows XP machine that I can get to the point in the Add Printer Wizard after the navigation of the printer and choose what I click Next and the response that I actually want add the printer that is on the Windows 7 PC. I am then presented with a dialog box indicating that the INF file is necessary. I downloaded the drivers that are on http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/readIndex?sp4ts.oid=58928 & swLangOid = 8 & swEnvOid = 4063 and tried each of them pointing to the directory where they are each. When I do that I said that "Windows cannot locate a suitable driver. Contact your administrator for help to locate and install a correct driver.

Where can I find the suitable driver for PC Windows XP print to a printer connected to a Windows 7 PC on my network?

I found a solution to this problem, but this isn't the ability to print a document from my XP computer to a shared printer connected to my Windows 7 computer. The solution I implemented was to connect my XP computer to the printer via a parallel cable. I went with this approach for two reasons.

First of all, I realized that none of the drivers for this printer are available for Windows 7 64-bit allow me to print a document double sided or in a brochure (print booklet of course depends on the ability to print double-sided) from my Windows 7 computer. The dirver for this printer on my XP (32 bit) provides these capabilities. The 64-bit Windows 7 driver that Microsoft provides through Windows Update appears to support these capabilities, but when these options are selected, that the document prints single sided. Windows 7 64-bit universal printer driver for this printer that is available on the HP site is not yet expected to provide these features. It's as if HP abandoned for most of this printer. I understand that this is an old printer, but what I find amazing, it is that he was not so old a printer when Windows 7 64-bit was new, so why can't HP provide the latest version of the driver that could perform these functions? (Of course I can just be assuming that at some point it might). Surely it cannot take up that much space on their server. The other question is why the universal printer driver for Windows 7 64 bit cannot provide these capabilities? XP driver 32 bit I have, which is also a universal printer driver that I downloaded several years ago on the HP site, provides the capability. I have tried downloading a version of XP 32 - most recent bit of the driver to see if it was stripped of these capabilities.

Second, I chose to use the parallel connection because my XP computer has a parallel port, I already had a parallel cable which was not used, and doing so allows me to have the printer connected permanently on both computers. Tempting to connect two computers using a cable USB would require to manually switch the USB of a computer connection to the other whenever I tried to print from the computer that was not connected.

Help!

    Hi @savra,

If your computer is connected to the printer on a wireless network, you do not want to send print jobs to the network printer.

Here is a support document to help with printer after Windows 10 upgrade problems - after Windows 10 Upgrade, printer problems occur.

Aside to make sure Windows updates are up to date, there are a few other updates that can help with printing.

Microsoft has released an update that is supposed to help with wireless printing - Cumulative Update for Windows 10.

There was also an update for Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge who can help get this impression of your bank's site - Update for Adobe Flash Player.

Please let me know how it goes.

If this helps you find a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

  • Printing of booklets in windows 8.1

I have a computer with windows 7 and the other using windows 8.1.  I can print my book in windows 7 but the same brochure in windows 8.1 drops after about 2 or 3 pages, and the order is wrong.  Microsoft said that because regular documents print from windows 8.1 on the printer and the problem is not with windows, but the printer.  I downloaded everything I can find!  I can't continue to use cloud to transfer my files from my old computer everytime I want to print a brochure! Does anyone have a solution? Thank you.

    Hi again revsml,

Thank you for the printer model number.

If you have the printer connected via USB cable to computer Windows 8.1, I suggest that we remove the cable from the printer and the computer and then do a complete uninstall of the software and drivers.  Once the uninstall is complete, click on the following link and download HP Officejet Pro Full Feature software and driver.  Please save this download on your desktop so that it creates it's own icon. That it will be easy to find the download.

Double-click on the icon and follow the installation instructions. Please do not connect the USB cable until the installation invites you to do so.

If you use a wireless connection, the guests will give you instructions on how to make the wireless connection.

Please feel free to write with any other questions or if these steps do not resolve your problem.

    Thanks again for your time.
