print legal paper

We have a hp officejet pro 8625.

The paper tray compatible only with letter size paper.

I need to print several legal size documents from time to time.

I could put legal paper in the tray, but when I close the drawer, he receives the paper tight while the charger may not pick up the paper.

Any suggestions?

Hi, to load legal-size paper press the blue latch located at the bottom left the tray open completely the status bar.

My operating system is windows 7 and 10 please help.

    Hi @S3dnnie,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I was looking at the specifications of the printer HP DeskJet GT 5820 User Guide and it doesn't list legal document as a support for a type of paper supported, but if it has legal papers for a paper Type in the menu drop down, it should be able to print.

I download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor to check the printer software. This tool can diagnose and solve many problems of printing software and printer.

  • Can someone - anyone - please help with printing LEGAL 81/2 "x 14" on a "5650

It seems that you must be able to print legal paper, but you cannot do right now with the drivers for your printer. It's just?

Well, my original suggestion is going to be use another driver, and one of my colleagues wrote a great post on how to do it:

How to assign other print in different Versions... - drivers Support HP - 1957011 Forum

Just in case you can not find the driver for 990c, you can also search the Deskjet 9800 driver as well.

Let me know if this opens more compatibility for your printer and media possible!

  • OfficeJet 100: Officejet 100 print legal size paper?

    Hello

I hope that there could be a solution for this. Several users here have a problem with their printers Officejet 100 legal-size paper printing. Below is part of an email I received about this which explains it better that I could.

«Apparently some of the reps there have problems printing their contracts of legal size on their mobile printers HP Officejet 100.» It's happened for quite a while. The printer recognizes the document as the legal document, but printing is disabled: it begins printing in the middle of the image.

VRP have found a solution: they must go to the printer properties and choose explicitly legal paper in the drop size. It is already selected by default, but if they select manually it will print correctly. The problem is that: 1) it is a manual workaround, they must do so for EACH print, and 2) they frequently forget and have to reprint. »

They have already tried to install latest print drivers, but that has not helped. Printers seem to operate normally except for this. What could be the cause of this?

    Thank you.

I have a HP Office Jet Pro 8620.  It models the paper legal duplex printing?  I get the conflict messages when you try to print.  I can't find any details regarding legal paper in the manual duplex.  Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi cindylu117,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I understand that you are interested in the double-sided printing using legal size paper with your HP Officejet Pro 8620. After taking a quick glance to your specifications , I was able to know that's not possible, it is not supported for duplex printing size:

PDF is printed in legal format.

For example if I create a pdf file from a doc word and open in the drive and try to print it, it automatically assigns for legal paper size.  When I try to resize or choose paper handling letter then I miss the first paragraph of the sentence.

Everyone knows what happens or do you know how to fix this?  I spilled and downloaded version 11.  I'm on a mac (10.6.8).

    -sullyfilms

    Hey sullyfilms,

Could you please let me know which version of reader you use.

This question appears with all the PDF files you want to print or someone specific?

Choose PDF of the letter and then choose an option 'Fit' under Page scaling in the print properties dialog box.

Please check the same and let me know.

    Kind regards

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8630: Trouble legal paper in tray 2

    Hello!

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer... two problems, I need help. I always use 8.5 x 11 cardstock in Tray 1 and 8.5 x 14 paper in tray 2.

    1. when I print a legal document of the size - and have the setting of the printer, the Auto Select value (for what bin pull) - he STILL has pull Tray 1, not tray 2 (which is the legal document size. I gave up to have auto-select the correct tray, so whenever I choose manually legal under paper size - and tray 2 in order to make it work. How to make this work correctly without haivng to make these changes? Now that's what I'm doing...

    First... Printer Setup/layout page/advanced/legal

    Then... (Printer setting) / Paper Source/tray 2 paper/quality.

    2. my BIGGEST problem is that media type or tray 2 paper type will allow me only to choose "Plain paper" not cardboard. I print color documents full page - so it makes a HUGE difference in quality when I set it to cardstock vs regular paper (to the title of best in the print quality option). It allows me to make this selection to Tray 1 to plain paper, but not for legal reason any.

Subsequent procedure registration to the first question, if I change the Media Type of cardstock, I get an error saying...

"There are one or more conflicting settings. One of the conflicting settings is:

    Input tray - tray 2

    Media Type - cardstock

And then it makes me go back to plain paper for it to print. But when I go on tray 1/letter Sized paper-it works very well. I put legal paper in Tray 1 and tried this way-(legal size, tray 1, cardstock, better) and it prints correctly. BUT, I want it to work with tray 2.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    Lauren

    Hey @higgybears,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have some problems with printing on cardstock from tray 2 of your 8630 e-all-in-one printer Officejet. The reason why you are having problems is that TRAY 2 is designed to be able to handle only for plain paper. HP recommends using only of plain paper in the second bin. If you pass the paper in Tray 1 when you change jobs, you should not have problems with the software.

Please let me know if that solves your problems. If so, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • How to use legal paper in OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus

How can I get my printer Officejet Pro 8600 all-in-0ne take legal paper?  The printer's specifications say it prints legal size, but the tray is letter size.

The tray can be extended to legal size paper.  Remove the tray and note the blue lever on the left side.  This lever will extend the tray to the legal size.  After having developed the status bar, move the slider to Center to provide the appropriate alignment of the loaded paper.

    HI -.

I have a premium of 8600 OfficeJet with the second option of the status bar. I have legal paper in the Tray 1 (top) and letter paper in tray 2 (bottom). I have tray lock on tray 1 and tray default tray 2 value.

I have a short page I want to print as a letter, but when I print it prints on legal paper. How to print on the letter (8.5 "x 11") instead of the legal?

    Thank you

    Steve

I thought about it while reading the other messages.

For some reason, my 2nd tray has been deactivated, even though I had recently allowed him. To allow him to spend

System Preferences-> printers and Scanners->-> entry optional feeder supplies and Options and select it.

Well... It fixed a few minutes ago. I just opened this window to type this solution and I see everytime I open the preferences system that is deselected again. I just selected (enabled) it five minutes ago.
