Print misaligned

I print a 4 x 6 PDF export in InDesign. It should align an Avery Template that I recreated. I have done successfully in the past, but now am having the following problem. The image starts printing about 1/8 "too early and cut the image about 1/4" before it is complete. I find myself with an impression of misaligned and incomplete. I use a Mac (software update) and Acrobat Pro 9.5.1. My printer is an Epson Stylus Photo R1900. Thanks for any help you can give.

DANIEL: Thank you very much for your answers. In fact, I got that auto rotate and Center verified but you forced me to think more about the issue. Then I went into Page under Acrobat Set Up Page attributes and chose the unprintable area defined by the user. That seems to work! Again, thank you.

    Well, what a shame.

I was looking through other posts and someone said to check a to the right of the ink cartridges paper jam... and he was there! Another lesson that strengthens the maxim first searching for the causes of the simplest, and the most likely. And I've had computers from 1985.

  • Labels print misaligned

I have a photosmart B110a working on a Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit with Office 2010 Pro computer. For some time, I had no trouble to print my labels, but one day they suddenly started printing not aligned. The first two lines print ok, but from there they begin to be too high for my page.

I use Word 2010 and I know I haven't changed anything. I tried the printer alignment, but he has not made a difference. Ah! I use sheets of A4 Apli labels.

    I need to fix this!

Okay, I have more than 1 million Web sites and have not found an answer until a few minutes ago. I found this post and follow his instructions to a tee and suddenly everything began to print as it should! WOO - HOO!  I have no idea where the problem actually, but I have a feeling that that was my position.

Whatever it is this ticket worked for me, so post a link towards it hoping that it will help others!

  • Color LaserJet CP1515n colour misalignment between CMYK print

The registration of 4 colors happened significantly out of alignment by up to 2 mm horizontally and vertically.

I tried all HP through article 11 documentation, but no amount of calibration or change supplies will put the colors in alignment. I had hoped that it would be a tool for recording the laser printer but I can't find one despite extensive research in both HP and the rest of the web.

I recon HP actually enroll in physical alignment cartridges, but is not apparent to me how the drive chain could not change to that effect. Clearly a small inset can move the cartridge from left to right, but for setting vertical, there seems to be little or no play in how the toner cartridge fits into the machine.

Clear the printer has recently been authorized and nobody has complained that it has not been moved or replaced supplies (other than paper), it's probably a physical problem, but what? I don't think it's a software issue, unless there was an upgrade to the printer driver. I can't think that firmware would have changed either. The printer is a model power (June 2012), just out of warranty!

Someone knows how to solve this problem (of the real solutions only please), or perhaps an HP employee will actually know a good way to do this?

No, you didn't read my message. I already tried this (which was my opening comment!). You have not addressed the issue that I actually asked. I suspect that you must be a person rather than a real engineer.

Insurance paid as they said that it is not economical to fix a HP printer, once this misalignment occurs. I don't have to talk to an engineer directly; However what I have collected the insurance guy was that when this kind of problem happens, it's a band full employment and the realignment of the mechanism and lasers. Unless you have the tools to align what you can as well take the machine to the scrap yard and recycle.

That is to say there is no mechanism for alignment of colors as with an inkjet printer. It is designed to be correct and set up in the factory. If a problem occurs there is no way to fix it easily.

From 2012, the machine no longer in production. His replacement is identical, but takes the form of different toner cartridge. Therefore the HP stupid and misleading statement to charge provides in ways I can't eBay as unused and cost me a lot of money.

I've had two of these machines now and both went wrong. A HP scanner too that didn't last! Clearly HP products at the end of low market prices are not worth buying if they are so reliable.

the plotter was hit, thank you

It seems that that's what the user tried to do it like the example comes from the print head alignment.  First thing you want to do is to clean the MICR band that runs through the carriage Assembly and has fine lines.  Use a damp cloth and go easy on the encoder strip across from left to right and from right to left.  If necessary, turn off first on the plotter and when the carriage moves out of the right side, unplug the printer.  In this way, you will be able to move the carriage to the road that you clean the encoder.  Do not press fort or own to hard that these lines have been known to come off.  Slowly, switch a soaked cloth on one side to the other.  Now, it is clean when you get are more black marks on the canvas.  When the truck is off to the right, you want to move using the belt to see if the action is smooth or bumpy.  So chaotic that would indicate that the belt needs to be replaced.  The last element is transport crossings.  If you look down at the bottom of the carrage to rails, you will see a screw on each side of the carriage house.  Make sure that the screw is not loose.

  • Misalignment of the heads - Officejet Pro 8500 has more e-all-in-one printer A910g

Oops.  Typical message in subject line.  I'll try again.  I have an Officejet Pro 8500 has more e-all-in-one printer A910g.  I replaced my cartridges of ink three colors, and cannot print, print jobs are in the queue... and I get an error message on the display screen 'alignment failed.  Refer to the documentation for the device for more details. "Also, even though the level of ink Cyan poster now full on the screen, I get no blue on the print head alignment test document.  Help!

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Sometimes, when you get this error message, maybe it's the ink or printhead may need to be cleaned.

  • HP PHOTOSMART PREMIUM C309ns does not print black misalignment & printing

HP Photosmart Premium Web Printer Model # C309ns (Microsoft 64-bit)

Suddenly I'm unable to print in black.  When you print documents, black is low or absent.

I tried to solve the problem of:

-Updated the drivers and software updates

    -Cleaning of the print head

-Remove all the ink and their replacement cartridges

-Turning printer off, wait, then turn on

    -Restart the computer

-Tried to align the printer, but it "failed".

    Help, please!

Remove the ink cartridges and using the grey lever on the side of the cart, remove the printhead.  Clean the electric contacts (bunches of points 1/16 "diameter gold) with a damp lint.  The fabric will be ruined.

Clean the surface of contact inside the carriage.  Re-monte and retest.

  • Magenta misaligned on CP1515n printer

The magenta color on my CP1515n printer is out of alignment of about 1.5 mm on the right-hand side of the page, but OK on the left.

    I tried the following:

-Updated to the latest firmware (20130923)

    -Calibration of color (several times)

-Permanent storage (NVRAM) reset (several times)

    -Mode of cleaning (many times)

    -Restore default values

I do not have available ToolboxFX because I have a Mac (OS X 10.9.5).) I do not think that the problem is related to the software or driver because it happens when you print the page of diagnosis in the printer menu, which does not imply the computer.

The printer is out of warranty, but only has 2700 pages printed since new. Levels of toner magenta, cyan and yellow are 42%, 45% and 44%, respectively. I hesitate to try to buy a new toner cartridge, since I can end up having to replace the printer if this does not correct it.

The user's Guide describes a "Mode of Calibration" option for a full extended calibration. This option does not exist on my Control Panel printer, even if I have the latest firmware, so I couldn't do a normal calibration.

The problem started suddenly rather than gradually gets worse.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi OWL,

The printer is perhaps longer under warranty but toners would guarantee.

When you call in, let them know that you call on an accessory guarantee and question relates to a replacement toner/s. Let them know the toner brands are the battery, they may also have a number of pages, you can print.

    Thank you.

  • Photosmart 7510 - black ink cartridge does not print

Recently, I replaced the ink cartridges on my Photosmart 7510 C311A. These are all the "genuine HP cartridges ', full.

Black ink (with the symbol of the Pentagon) does not print, not at all. I ran through the standard troubleshooting steps:

    Cleaning of printheads

    Cleaning of copper contacts

    * Check for a good evacuation

My colleague in the corridor as the printer even so I borrowed his black ink cartridge and tried: same problem. The printer does not record that there is a problem, but when I run printing tests, where there should be a black ink, there is absolutely none. All other colors print correctly.

The printer doesn't lack NOT of the printer "align" test however does not offer a suggestion of what to do from there. I've not seen - in test reports - an indiciation of the misalignment.

Suggestions on what to do now?

I had the same problem. I had replaced the empty cartridge black and suddenly, no ink. Finally, what has worked is
    (1) I removed all the cartridges and cleaned the copper connectors with wet Publix.
    (2) I got a wet paper towel and he pressed repeatedly on the silver circular vent that would be under the black cartridge. I did until no black came. Let it dry.
    (3) I replaced all the cartridges and on the printer. I went to tools/clean the cartridge. I did it a couple of times and he finally printed black ink! I confirmed by going to tools/align, and align the cartridges successfully. He had kept before crashes when the black ink did not work.

  • HP M276 can print labels in Microsoft Word

Hello all, if someone could take a look and suggest what am I missing, would be great.

We have a printer HP M276 and when you try to print labels using the / choosing in the list of labels from Microsoft, when it prints the labels come out misaligned.

Am I missing something?  With previous printer (brother), he would recognize just and printing, with this new printer, we tried to play with the margins manually; but this isn't the best way we have different sizes of labels, we would like to print.

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Hi 141office,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you are having problems with misaligned houses.
I'll be happy to help you.

Make sure you that you remove all the paper in the tray and just loading labels.

The paper guides must be against the labels, not too tight or too loose.

    Loading paper and envelopes.

Check the print driver's preferences to ensure that the appropriate paper type is selected and no paper said.

Go to start, devices and printers, right click on the printer, then on the left, click printer properties. Click the paper/quality tab.

Please let me know if you need additional assistance.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.
    Have a great day.

  • Lines of Officejet J6400 graphic in the Excel sheet misaligned when computer file copying

OfficeJet J6400 all-in-one, Vista, connected by cable to the laptop computer (and also connected wireless. I did both because of another problem fax not working do not under wireless only).

The copy was working fine. Now, sheets of Excel spreadsheet and graph lines and many a printed text appear slightly crooked and misaligned.  The lines look like test you made during the alignment of the new ink cartridges. (some segments of line up, some down).

AND, this only happens when copying of computer file for printer.  If I run a printer manually through Excel/graphic paper, it prints very well.

    Appreciate any ideas on that.

    Thank you.

Both BAD and sorry.  It seems that the right printer ran out of black ink now. What explains that.

But the ink looked bleak but was printing it for about a week. It is a long warning.

    I'm sorry to bother you.

  • OfficeJet 4635: printing avery 8160 labels - correct alignment

Can anyone suggest where/how do I get help with printing labels Avery8160 on my Officejet 4635.  I tried to use Avery templates and other options on the site of Avery, Avery downloaded on Word 2010, using HP Photo Creations with labels Avery, tried to use models of success in the past on this printer, which I have not yet used for the labels.

Everything seems perfect for the labels on the computer with all the editing screen and centered, but when we print the text is not aligned in the location of the label and not all three columns are centered.  I'm lucky if three or six labels on thirty are usable.  It's @# $% & frustrating.  I too lose paper, labels and ink, not to mention my time!  I also tried to use brochure mast as suggested in a post.  That did not help either...

My last 3 in 1 HP printer does very well with the labels - they were child's play.

    Hi Trinkie.

We retested printing of labels Avery 8160 with HP Photo Creations and two different printers Officejet and could not reproduce the problem of misalignment. (We used the default device and HP Photo Creations print settings panel.)

To be clear, the options of scaling I mentioned above would be in the control panel of the printer itself, you can reach by clicking on the blue printer settings link on the HP Photo Creations print screen. (This link is between the printer and the paper size in my screenshot of menus.) I think that you have checked that. However, if you have not installed the long drivers for your printer, you will see fewer options. It's a possibility.

It is a long shot, but engineers thought that it would be possible that you are using J8160 stock. It is a format of A4 paper and would produce out misaligned.

    Hope this helps,

I see that you have problems with misalignment. This happens usually when the print head needs to be cleaned or is bad. It may be that the ink cartridges need the same treatment.

  • skewed print

I've upgraded to fiber optic broadband and re-installed printer software software for C4780 (after installation of the United Nations), installed via cd first then via download on the web site hp, keep getting cartridge error misaligned, but when I print the alignment page it is also biased and then will not scan so I can't fix the problem if it is indeed the problem running on windows vista

    anyone has any ideas please?

It is probably not related to your computer or your broadband. It looks like a hardware problem with the printer itself. Often the paper pick-up rollers cleaning will help with asymmetrical printing. You can get the details with pictures in this document: printed text is biased.

  • Printer C7283 text print does not correctly

    Hello

This morning, I tried to print on my new windows machine 8 and nothing won't print on the paper. After installing the software again and do diagnostic tests included in the HP Solution Center, and then he managed to print the letter, but a few sentences where not correctly printed (I mean he had white lines in it.). It seems to me that your new ink was not registered or maybe the black part of the print head is clogged.  Alignments fail when the ink is not printing.  I understand your printer not print black ink even if you have a new ink cartridge, but I'd like to as you follow the instructions on what to do if you get a "misalignment" error message on the printer because this document covers a large number of measures which would not be separate documents in the case.

The best way to narrow down the exact problem you are having is by going to the Setup menu (key button) and going to the "Print report" section and by printing a 'self-test report.  This report will tell you exactly what ink cartridge is out if no.  If the ink prints on this page then, it may be something to do with the computer or its connection.

Read and try to clean the print head by going to the Setup menu (key), by selecting 'Tools', then 'Cleaning print head' If you print this test page and your black is still out.  Other error messages appear before you changed the ink cartridge?  For example, have you seen a message like "Out of Ink" and that's why you changed the ink?  I hope that I can help you!
