Print pdf file

I have Windows8.  I received an e-mail with an attachment.  When I opened the attachment the document opens.  When the run option is displayed click on the track and it opens the document.  The document is surrounded by a black screen.  There was a print of the document icon.  I pressed print and email was all print.  I have tried twice and have had no success.  I really need some help here.  Also, I am so new Windows8.  Y at - there a site where I can learn how to work with files, printing of documents.  I need this for location work.      Thanks for the help that this site has been in the past.       Karen

What email program are you using?

When the pdf document is opened and the most prominent on your screen, do a right click anywhere on the document and see if there is a print icon at the bottom of the page.

You can also try Ctrl + P when the document is "in focus" (open) and click on your printer if it is listed.

It's my standard guide for Windows 8 news.  Do with it what you want.

Try using Windows 8 as close as possible to Windows 7 using the Desktop application running as a desktop Windows 7 less the button and the Start Menu.  You can even get third-party programs that make it look like Windows 7, but I don't bother with, or recommend such programs.

The best thing to do is to place commonly used program shortcuts on the desktop via the creation of shortcuts to programs.

You can practice with the Apps later as you gain confidence.  Right-click on the tile of the application to see the different options available next to the running application.

I use my Windows 8 in the same way that I used Windows 7 and other earlier operating systems, the Apps are something that I play with when I'm bored.  I install all my own programs I want to run in Windows 8, things like office, Win Zip, games and other joint programmes etc. and launch of shortcuts on the desktop.

It will help you see this .pdf document too.

Virtually every Windows 8 shortcuts available (well so far...). PDF

In the case of any application, the Windows key + i will give you all the options available in the application open.  Close any application by dragging them to the bottom of the screen (at the top of this one), or try Alt + F4.

  • My office print 8600 ProPlus will not print pdf files sent from an iPad with ePrint.

My office print 8600 ProPlus will not print pdf files sent from an iPad with ePrint.  I just get an error message when I go to the HP Eprint centre.  It prints the address email of the coverage, but nothing else.  The attachment is not sure that I can see.  I tried to send an attachment from my Mac and worked well.

Thank you for your response and I am sorry for the delay to return to you.  I tried save the Pages document in a Word document and send it to the printer using ePrint but it is even.  That is to say the handout printed but not the attachment.  However, when we removed the accompanying document and sent the attachment in its own it has worked well for we have managed to solve the problem. Thank you very much.

    Hello @pamhans, greetings!

Welcome to the HP Forum! It is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get help and advice.

I understand that you are having problems when printing an image in PDF format. I would like to help with that.

First of all, I would like to know the app that you use to open / print PDF files. You use "Adobe reader" or another application?

If you do not use the Adobe reader software, please install Adobe reader, and then try to print the pdf image.

If you already use Adobe reader software, follow the steps below:

    1. try the option "Print as image":

    • Choose file > print and then click Advanced.
    • Select print as Image.
    • Click OK to close the Advanced Print Setup dialog box, and then click OK to print.

    2. install the last update:

    • Open Acrobat or Reader.
    • Choose Help > check for updates. If a new update is available, it installs automatically.
    • Once installed, restart your computer.
    • Print the PDF again.

  • iP8720 won't print PDF files

My iP8720 does not print PDF files. It doesn't matter if the file has been created in Acrobat 8 Pro, Word, WordPerfect. It does not matter if the PDF contains images or text. It print files of Word and WordPerfect, as well as Photoshop, etc. PDF files seems to be the only problem. I use Windows 7 Ultimate. Any help woud be appreciated.

Make sure that the correct driver for this printer is installed. Sometimes during installation, either disk or online, the incorrect printer driver has been charged, and that's why it wouldn't print PDFS.

  • printer does not print Pdf files

as above, computer then presents the pdf text, but I can't print sheets in the printer I need (brother dcp - 117c) any help appreciated

    Hi pcmcgarry,

    (a) this only happens with PDF files?  Do you get specific error messages?

    (b) are you able to print PDF files online?

To determine the cause of the printing problem, I suggest you try the following steps:

Step 1: Print another PDF file, such as the first page of Acrobat Help:

If that file prints correctly, the PDF file that does not print properly may be damaged.

If the file prints correctly, go to step 2.

Step 2: Print another type of file (for example, a .txt file) from another application.

If that file prints correctly, the problem is not systemic - specific to the Acrobat product. However, the way Acrobat interacts with the system may affect printing performance.

Go to step 3 to eliminate some causes related to the system of the problem.

The problem may be system resources low, not enough memory on your printer, or a bad connection between your computer and the printer.

Step 3: Restart your computer and then print a PDF file:

If the file prints correctly, your system may have been out of memory or resources.

If the file prints correctly, go to step 4.

Step 4: Turn off your printer for at least 15 seconds to clear the memory, then turn it back on and print a PDF file:

If the file prints correctly, the printer's memory was too full.

  • C7180 - cannot print pdf files. How do I know if I have the latest drivers?

Unable to print pdf files.  There is no option to print, just as an icon with Adobe info - press something in the advanced options are not an option on this printer.  Magenta ink expired msg continues when even he was replaced.

Michael!  Something that worked.  I printed a pdf of pg 4!  Here, it is a print option, but he was off the screen, and I noticed I did scroll to the bottom of the page that the printer has been change to fax, send to a single Note, Journal, etc.  I think I've probably hit the? next to the help when I haven't seen print and quit - every time.  Thank you so much, that solved a big problem.

Someone else had put the partial reset online as a way to solve the problem of outdated cartridge - it did not help this problem, I still "magenta to expiration" - which was replaced.

Very grateful I can print pdf! Yes.

    Thank you

OK, so I managed to fix it myself! The problem seems to be with Adobe Reader. I had upgraded from V9 to the latest version and it seems to be a lot of problems with the thel atest version. I tried downgrading to the V10, but again, the problem occurred (even disable enhanced security mode as suggested by Adobe). Sine V9 is no longer available for download, that I found myself stuck in a vicious circle. In the end, I renounced Adobe altogether and been completely uninstalled. I just download Nitro pdf (free) and everything works as it should. Finally able to print pdf documents!
