Printer cartridge has expired

I can't print anything without getting a message that the cartridge has expired.  (Officejet j145) I replaced the black and color.  I have reset the printer.  She still does not print, even a document in black all without saying the color cartridge is expired.  Are both of these cartridges HP original {cartridges right out of the box and the cellophane.  In my view, the printer should not refuse to print in such cases.  Is there a way to get around this?

YES!

I finally solved this problem.  Details here:

It worked like a champ for months. He warned that both cartridges had expired. I replaced the. Have you tried to reset the printer?

Turn off the printer with the button.  Unplug the power cord at the back of the printer for 30 seconds.  Plug it in again.

The expiration date is indicated on the packaging of the cartridge.  I do not think that it is printed (in a human readable form) on the cartridge itself.  It is usually 2 years from the manufacturing date.

Thanks for the info. I'll try your tactics by chance discovered when the problem recurs. I finally gave in and changed ink cartridges--lost some of the expensive ink HP - as I had to print a document on this printer as the other was not available.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 more: printer will not recognize this yellow cartridge has been refilled.

The printer would not print because the yellow cartridge was totally exhausted.  I had all the colors of three cartridges filled at Costco and reinstalled the printer.  Still not printed - he continues to say the yellow cartridge is completely empty and must be replaced.  How can I do recognize that this cartridge has been refilled?

Replace all cartridges per HP cartridges to see if it solves your problem. If so, suspect that the reloaded cartridges were damaged by Costco.

  • Date on the print cartridges - it is the production date or the expiration date?

Date on the print cartridges - it is the production date or the expiration date?

15 HP or HP 78 cartridges.

15 and 78 cartridges do not expire in the sense that they will not be able to print after a certain date.  The date printed on the body of the cell is the expiry date of the guarantee.  This date is six months after the "install by" printed on the packaging of the cartridge comes and is two years after the date of manufacture.  See this page for more details.

    Hi azza675,

ExportPDF converts PDF files to Word and Excel formats (and many others). What you describe, sounds like you are trying to convert a file * to * PDF. Have you ever started a trial of Acrobat, maybe? (So that you can create PDFs with Acrobat, ExportPDF don't allow you to convert files to PDF.)

What happens when you connect directly to ExportPDF to https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf?

    Best,

  • Printing CB436A cartridge: Life of the Laserjet print cartridge

I just bought a HP Laserjet (36A or CB436a) print cartridge. In the box, there is a code (7L16M3BK) and a date (20100422). Before to open the box, I would like to know if this cartridge tonner is still ok for use. Seems to me that he is too old. Can I use it?

    Hi @Prof_Miranda ,

I read your post and see that you would like to know if the toner will always be good, even if the date is showing 20100422. I'd love to help you.

You should be able to continue to use the toner, if you have problems with it, contact HP.

LaserJet provides warranty information Date of manufacture on the packaging.

The manufacturing date on the box of toner cartridge is intended for HP internal processes and may be required to comply with regulatory standards in some countries. The manufacturing date is not an expiration or the date 'use before '. There is no expiry date for the use of HP ink cartridges. This information has been provided by this document from HP:

  • OfficeJet J6450 All in One printer cartridge wrong cartridge, but it is not

I have an Officejet J6450 All in One Printer.  I only use the new HP cartridges (not renovated, manual not refilling).  I installed a 74XL into the printer about a month with expiration of 02/11/2014.  It is still more than 1/2 full and very well printed yesterday.  Today, without apparent reason, the printer is saying that the ink cartridge is not supported by my printer... it is evil.  I tried a reset (3 and the # and when it does not 6 and the #) unplug him and by plugging it in.  I also removed the cartridge and tried both resets and then put it back in and still got the same error message.    I cleaned the print heads with a coffee filter and distilled water and tried the reset with unplugging and plugging back.  That didn't fix it.  Also, I deleted all of the permits from the hard drive and reinstalled the drivers and all updates (which I am automatically in any case, if the printer was already updated yesterday).  That didn't fix it.  I have tried everything and can't get this stupid to work printer.  I spent hours and hours on this.  I put in a new cartridge and it seems to work now, but I don't want to lose more than 1/2 full cartridge with no recourse.  I am a mother of 6 and the ink is very, very expensive, and what happens if this happens again?  Someone at - it ideas?  Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the cartridge has failed, because its guarantee until 2014 I would contact HP telephone support. Can you please let us know how you get on?
    Thank you

  • C4780 printer cartridge error

    Hello

Like many other people, I met an error of printer cartridge on my HP C4780. It occurred with a new color cartridge. I tried it out and it back to clean, it did not help. It will not print anything with her.

Subsequently, the black cartridge has begun to report the same error intermittently. It is reported by the software ~ 50% of working time. When it is reported to work, however, the printer "print only"white pages. " It will not print a test page, same head cleaning only returns a blank page, even if it is still abundant ink in the cartridge (~ 60%).

I use Windows XP pro and have not installed all the programs since the last print job successfully, just until the ink in the old cartridge ran out.

Thanks in advance for any help...

    Hi Smrekar,

When did you buy the cartridges?

They are the new HP cartridges or revised cartridges?

Ink cartridges have their own warranty and expiration on them. Please contact 800-HP-Invent, so they can assist with troubleshooting cartridges, and as long as they are still under warranty and have a problem, they can be replaced.
