  • Belkin F6D4050 v2 USB Wireless Adapter turns off after 5 minutes using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

I recently bought a wireless adapter Belkin for use in my Media Center PC in the living room. The router I use is also a Belkin N + Router. The wireless adapter will connect to my WPA encrypted network, but it will stop working after about 5 minutes or more. The State of the connection is going to say "No network detected." The icon shows a strong signal with a yellow bang next to it. It takes a hard reboot to get it working again. Take out the USB port and put again does nothing. The icon remains the same, but he won't let me not make a right-click or left-click on the icon. When you try to stop, the computer turns off completely; It gets stuck on the "Shutting Down" screen.

I disabled the option in the settings to get to power adapter down to save power. I thought that this would fix it, but still the adapter is not connected.  My Dell laptop gets a signal stronger than this card, and there is also no problem to stay connected to the router.

Any help would be appreciated on figure out how to get the card working properly.

    Hi brutus09,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

That the connection is lost intermittently, the issue seems to be with the drivers.

As for now I suggest to uninstall the drivers for the wireless adapter and download the updated drivers from the manufacturers website and see if it can solve your problem.

Access the link below to download the driver for the Belkin Wireless card.

    http://en-us-support.Belkin.com/

    1. go to the control panel and, under "Programs", select "uninstall a program".

    2. Select, then uninstall "Belkin Wireless card driver" from the list.

    3. disconnect the adapter.

    4. using another PC or via an temporary Ethernet, download the latest driver from the link above.

    5. run the executable downloaded on the computer, connect the adapter when prompted target.

    6. connect to your wireless as usual. If you have an encryption key, you will need to enter again by reinstalling the driver should solve the problem

  • USB wireless adapter for computer laptop problem

    Hello:

The HP laptop with XP get "Low" signal every time I'm in the other room that is not too much longer off the router, about 60 to 70 feet away from him.  Then, yesterday, I got USB Netgear adapter in the hope of trying to get more signal.  Because, says a guy in the store of the computer installation USB adapter is 'boost' to get decent and more signals.

When I installed the Netgear adapter for the laptop, there is no signal at all and to appear the following message appears in the middle of the screen.

NETGEAR 111v3 Smart Wizard, WEP Passphrase to create WG and the key manually

    My question is;

How to install the USB Netgear adapter for laptop?

Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hello

The general idea that a USB adapter is a bit a booster dose is false. I'm not sure that you will get the USB Ant thing you don't get the laptop.

According to the physical environment, 60 to 70 domestic feet with walls is probably beyond the capacity of the wireless router.

As for your specific question, it seems that USB is correctly installed but must adjust its password security to your current wireless network.

  • -SOLVED! -PCI or USB wireless adapter is disabled and will not activate on Windows 7

    The solution: uninstall ZoneAlarm!

I spent 3 days and 3 different cards, trying to solve this problem. First of all, I bought a Netgear PCI wireless adapter. Installed according to the instructions. Device Manager showed the adapter works properly but turned off and nothing I tried would enable the adapter.

NETGEAR has taken over to the store and buy a Linksys PCI wireless adapter. Exactly the same problem. Device Manager, said the adapter worked correctly, but turned off and would not turn on.

So I called Linksys support and paid them only for the remote service and they couldn't get it to work either (of course to return money). They suggest is to contact Microsoft technical support or buy the USB version.

I went and picked up the USB (WUSB600-N v.2) version today and guess what? Exactly the same problem. Device Manager showed the device works correctly, but turned off and would not turn on. After talking to a few other technicians in addition to myself, we agreed that the only other option was to reinstall windows. But just before I decided to do, I checked one last time to Google and came across a post in the forums of Vista by someone who had the same exact problem, uninstalled ZoneAlarm and then worked their wireless adapter.

Well, I decided to try that before reinstalling windows. As soon as I uninstalled ZoneAlarm and the computer restarts, the adapter has been activated and automatically found my network! This means that ZoneAlarm control network on the computer and for some reason cards some not allowing a wireless adapter is enabled.

Then I tried to re-setup of ZoneAlarm. After that I have re-installed, my wireless adapter became instantly disabled and would not turn on again. So I uninstalled ZoneAlarm at all times. My router has SPI and NAT firewall on top of the Windows Firewall, so I need anyway ZA.

If you have ZoneAlarm, get rid of it. If you still experience the problem of your card activating Wireless does not and have ZoneAlarm, try to uninstall any firewall software 3rd - party that you have already installed (not the Windows Firewall).

I was really frustrated after spending 3 days with 3 different adapters and many trips to stores using the adapters and buy different cards. I'm glad I found this post on the forums of Vista, so the credit goes to the one who made this post.

On a side note, after I installed the drivers from the CD and Linksys site, Windows update has shown there is an updated driver on the site of Ralink which I installed it and so far no problem. My WUSB600-N automatically connected to the strip of the 5 GHz on my router dual band and speeds are ultra fast and signal is strong in a completely different room.

Hope this information helps others finally solve this problem.

    See you soon,.

    Matt

64-bit, but it should work on either. ZoneAlarm includes network connections and was not what allows the adapter to be activated. Even close ZoneAlarm does not work either. ZoneAlarm must be uninstalled from the card must be activated.

Vista drivers work fine with this adapter. Then a Windows Update is the updated drivers for Ralink which also work very well.

If you have properly installed the drivers and display device manager the device works correctly, but disabled, and then uninstall any firewall/antivirus 3 rd-party should do the trick.

I am a tech, more I consulted other technicians as well as paid for technical support of Linksys and nobody could understand this problem and it's no wonder. Who would have thought that ZoneAlarm or any 3rd part antivirus/firewall software would take complete control over network connections and not to allow a new network adapters must be installed correctly.

If anyone needs any help other than that, feel free to ask.

  • No connectivity after installing Dell 1702 Driver for Wireless Adapter - of the suggestions?

    Hello world

I'm completely confused on this one and at my wit's end.
I have an Inspiron laptop M5110 and some difficulties to stay connected to my internet so this morning I decided that I would try to update the drivers. I uninstalled the Wireless and Blue Tooth drivers and reinstalled them, but now it will not even TRY to connect at all. In the lower right corner, there is a red x on the wireless bars and says No connections are available. Previously, it would have a circle of rotation while trying to connect, but that is more than all. My Ethernet connection works fine, I even uninstalled and reinstalled this driver (REALTEK) and his work with no problems. So to publish its specific wireless card...

If I run IPCONFIG, the wireless card isn't even more appear. I tried to reset, deactivation, all I could think about. I tried several versions too many drivers, but nothing works.

Right now, I removed it, so I have a yellow exclamation next to the network controller in my device settings. My hardware for the adapter ID is PCI\VEN_168C & DEV_002B & SUBSYS_02051028

I think the info above, I believe that the Atheros wireless card belongs.

Have any suggestions at all as to how I can get this thing to even try to connect to a network? I'm dead in the water... ANY idea would be so appreciated. I can stick captures screen or something else, if you think it would help.

    Thank you all,

    Tim

    Timmy1028,

Zone Alarm because of the systems do not connect. Not very good if you want to continue your connection is allowed, or if you have a product key, for your subscription, temporarily uninstall Zone Alarm.

The Dell Wireless 1702 802.11b/g/n connects to 2'4 GHz ONLY.

Places to look to see if your connection is activated

Also try reading, How to repair a connection

Go to the drivers & downloads , enter your service tag, and then select your operating system. Under network, download and install the latest drivers.

    Try these tweaks...

Start, Control Panel, Manager of devices. Click Network and then right click on your wireless network adapter, on the left, click on properties, power management. Uncheck the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Click Advanced. Look and see if this adapter has Antenna Diversity. If the adapter Antenna Diversity, change from automatic to the auxiliary voltage (can you also tell me if there or that it has no Antenna Diversity for my notes.) Thank you)

Go to the options power and changed the wireless adapter setting, adjustment of maximum power for maximum performance.

  • New wireless adapter does not connect to my router

at home, I have a wireless router WRT120N set up for wireless internet connections, I also use the wireless adapter that comes with it. I recently bought a new adapter wireless like this: http://global.level1.com/product_d.php?id=891 and it connect to the router? Help, please

I think that the wireless connection on your router may not work properly.

    Create a new wireless network.

Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Open the router setup page and go to the Wireless tab, change the name of the SSID wireless network to create a new wireless network. Change the channel to 11. Save the settings.

Go to the tab of sup of wireless security and check the security settings. Make sure you have the key/password network correct.

Go to the sub-tab to Wireless MAC filter and make sure that it is disabled.

Go into the settings wireless Advanced tab change the interval of tag to 75, RTS and Fragmentation threshold to 2304. Save the settings.

Now ty to connect to the new wireless network.

If this does not work then try upgrading/re-Flash the firmware on your router.

Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable.

Download the latest firmware from the site Web of Linksys and save it to your computer. Open the router configuration page and update the firmware on your router. After upgrading the firmware of your router, reset the router and reconfigure.

Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-7000, equipped with the Ralink RT5390R wireless adapter.  For the life of me, I can't get it to connect to my home network when implemented as 802.11n.  They connect other devices. If I change my router 802.11 g, but no other change, doe HP connect. But if I return the router to 802.11n, HP sees the network, and it correctly identifies as a 802.11n network, but does not connect.

    The router is a D - Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4 ghz)

  • Question about the USB wireless adapter for Windows XP

I'm trying to set up a wireless connection for my desktop pc with Windows XP. I don't see any options for a wireless connection. A USB adapter would do the trick? Looks like the easiest option.

For a desktop computer with Windows XP, there was probably no built-in wireless card. Some systems Windows XP later had these as optional.

You must meet your Dell model.

A USB dongle should work, but make sure there is a Windows XP driver on the suppliers Web site before you buy. Windows XP has reached its end of life and is no longer supported by Dell or, more importantly, Microsoft. Be careful with the continued use of Windows XP, especially if the connection to the internet.

You can install the unofficial service pack 4 before you connect to the internet which will help a little:

  • Configuration Wireless Photosmart C310 series game Belkin usb wireless adapter.

I am strugling to set up my printer to the Belking adapter. The print shows the SSID failed. Anyone able to help me please?

Your printer can connect to your Orange Live Box wireless (or wired like your computer).   If your computer is connected to the Orange Live Box via Ethernet, your router will allow communication even if the printer is wireless and the computer is connected.

I don't think you need the USB card.  Just run the wizard of wireless at the front of the printer configuration (configuration > network area) to connect wireless to your Orange Live Box, then download and run the software from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.
