Printer HP Vista. Slower is it credible suddenly

I use a Toshiba Equium on Vista laptop, an HP F4180 printer.  None are new (obviously) and the printer worked fine in the past.  It has caused problems in the past months and I have updated drivers when HP Web site said to do.  It worked OK for basic printing, but sometimes takes a while if there was heavy graphics.  Suddenly, he decided to take about 5 minutes to "print" to any action on the printer and then he would make one pass in 5 minutes - then it takes a long time to print anything.  I have my old HP 3920 bidirectional printers and it was exactly the same.  I went through the troubleshooting procedure, print spooler is exactly as it should be so can only assume that it is not the printer fault.

What to try next?  Any ideas?  The print spooler file is corrupt?  How to re - install?  This will help?

Any help would be appreciated.

See if it helps:

  • Satellite A100-049: cannot install printer/scanner Vista

I am running Vista and I can't install lexmark x 85. Lexmark say they will not patch their software because the printer is old. has a found a way to work?

    Hello

Please don't be angry with me, but why you post this here in the Toshiba support forum?
This has nothing to do with the Toshiba laptop.

It s a clear case to me. You are not able to install this printer on Vista OS because the printer drivers are too old or not compatible with Vista.

In the first step, you must contact the support of the manufacture of the printer and ask for the new version of the drivers for printer or compatible driver for Vista. Maybe you will find the drivers supported on the printer manufacture website

    Good luck

  • HP c 722 deskjet printer running Vista 64-bit

Can someone tell me if its possible to print using Vista 64-bit with a HP deskjet printer the 722c?   I went through all the troubleshooting techniques and no help.  When I try to print only the flashing and nothing comes out.  Also, is pass an option to only Vista Basic (not 64 bit) because it seems that it can work in this environment.

Here is the solution for 64-bit Windows.

  • HP Deskjet F300/Q8139-60001: HP Deskjet F300 all-in-printer is very slow.

I got this printer from 2007, when I had problems I uninstall and install the product and upggrates, but the last 3 weeks after I change the slow start print cartridges and print any of this, communication to align to print is so slow that the printer seems impossible... Hopefully I'll find solutions. If not... problably I need to give a way. My printer is connect to my Hp before Clubhouse worked very well.

This is caused by the failure of one of your cartridges.  I don't know if the F300 will print in ink backup mode, but try the following: remove the black print cartridge and print a test page.  The printer prints at a normal speed?  Is therefore the black cartridge was the issue and needs to be replaced.  If it isn't then, put the black back cartridge in and remove the color cartridge and the test page printed.  If the printer now prints speed the color cartridge is responsible and must be replaced.

  • Vista - > slow to a Vista client vista network printer - connection

I have a Vista computer with printers and two computers sharing portable conecting to it over ethernet.
Print to the shared printer is a portable XP without problem. FRM the vista customer it takes a long time to print our a page for example internet exproler show does not and after 5 minutes I got the print dialog box and when you press OK, it "does not" for another 5 minutes before the actual start of printing.
I tried to remove/connect printer, update the network, software drivers of registry fix etc.
When you run FixIt MS it takes about 5 minutes to connect, 5 minutes to check ink cartridges etc but not problem is presented at the end after 25 minutes :-)
Printer is HP PSC 2110 all-in-one, but I don't think that is the question.
In addition to printing the rest of the machine Vista works fine.

No idea what to try next?

    Hello

It has proved to be a problem with the dns timeouts

When ping was a slow response because dns has expired (the provider dhcp) and then I guess that wins or similar was used to find the ip address. When you add the name of printerserver and intellectual property on the vista pc that has solved the problem.

  • Vista slow boot / stalled since resettlement on Equium L40 - 17M

After working on the programme which had caused some performance issues *.
with my laptop Toshiba Equiuum L40 - 17 M - Kontiki, used with a tv on demand
program for Channel 4 in the United Kingdom - I reinstalled Windows. Unlike a
last chance to get rid of all traces of Norton,
startup slowed, in fact, it seems to pause and had done well
at the beginning of the new facility. How can I resolve this issue? I am
puzzled as to why this happens when I used the same method
and the recovery disc, provided by Toshiba.

I looked in Task Manager to see if I can see where it is at a standstill
but I can't say. I had to uninstall Norton new because it is responsible for
the disc of recovery, but the stall was going on independently of this.
Everything about the Windows Defender Software Explorer limited?

I thought that it could be the side bar but is not, and this has all
    worked very well before anyway.

I had the terrible thought that the recovery disks working a finite
number of times in order to get people to pay ot for a copy of Windows.

    * The 'problems' of performance were probably nothing serious or
noticeable, just me in response to an exclamation point in a yellow
triangle, but it niggled me and I thought he could do worse than others
the software has been added etc.

Thanks in advance for all entries. I'm reasonably computer literate but
If anything it might need explain it please err on the side of caution.
    Thank you.

    Hi Lee

You're talking about Vista performance issues... So I'm interested to know if you have noticed "this" slow down the performance of the first day or after a couple of times.

You must know that the Vista operating system is a monster! He eats the material resources and you should not comparable with the MS OS at first it XP for example...

I.e all Vista Aero features needs a huge amount of material resources.
In addition your laptop supports various features Toshiba as Vista FlashCards, keys Fn, command buttons, etc...

All the features of this must be controlled by software that runs in the context of the BONE.
Throughout this process, drivers affect the performance of the Vista operating system, and this can slow down the laptop.

Anyway... we shouldn't exclude a hardware Supa‰rieur? ¦ example HARD drive...
I had one laptop slow due to HARD drive failure. Bad HDD sectors were the reason why the laptop has slowed.

  • Satellite Pro P105 - oar and Vista slow videos

Lately, my PC is bein very lag each time I watch a video and sometimes particularly slow to switch from one window to the other.

I had a GE 7900 NFORCE and 2 MB of ram T7200 intel core2 DUO, I ran antivirus and anti-spyware.
Everything seems fine but I can't possibly watch a video (I tried too many Windows video player and DVX) and sometimes even other applications become slower.

Everything worked well until 4 days ago.

There are perhaps too many background processes. Try to stop all unnecessary processes. When everything was OK when start checking all installed stuff. I think that some added demand make busy HARD disk and result is slow Vista.
