Printer Officejet Pro 8610: Officejet Pro 8610 prints on glossy paper matte finish

When I load 4 x 6 HP Premium glossy photo paper, my printer prints a Matt finish on my photos.  How can I get it to print on glossy photo paper brilliant finishes?

Problem solved, the media type the tab paper/quality HP Photosmart Essentials 3.5 has been changed from HP Premium Plus Photo paper which enabled for your paper prints of HP Premium presentation Matte that has caused the printer to print 'Matt', not brilliant brilliant photos.  Sherlock.

    Hi Anna,.

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

I don't have Mac - that will be obvious when you read the answer - I think the "fix" implies a simple adjustment on the Type of media in the choice of paper.

The question with the answer to my find a way to illustrate the point - the following is the help file a competitor - their files are well written, as always; This file shows where to find and set the media Type setting.

    Comment

You must set the media type is as close to your type of paper as possible.  The point is to allow the printer to wait 'thick' or thin paper, glossy or matte finish, etc.

The printer will answer by setting rollers to correct spacing, setting the ink to the paper type and the definition of the duration of drying.

    I hope this helps.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6230: Officejet Pro 6230 continous (not of paper) paper jam error

As soon as the printer powers on it the ink carrier Wizz backward real quick (as he struggles to move) and then gives me a paper jam error (the resume light flashes and error appears on my screen). He did the same thing when I try to print anything (including the status report page).

When I up the access panel upward (power on), the carrier of ink isn't even move to ink cartridges which can be changed. I try to move with force, but it does not move (if I use more strength, somethings will break). Ink is a bit new, so I don't know it still has ink in there.

    The steps I've tried:

plugged the power supply into the wall outlet

    roller cleaning

THERE IS NO PAPER or PAPER PIECES BETWEEN ROLLERS (I checked like 20 times)

    reset the printer

There is a large black gear coupled to a white average speed on the left side near the bottom of the printer. I manually drove the speed by pressing (rotation) of North (or forward or to the rear of the printer) for a few seconds and once I did that. the ink carrier was able to move as it's supposed to, and I could see the ink. but once the power is back on, the carrier of ink was in the locked position and fights again and gives me the paper jam error.

I don't have really any troubleshooting documents on the CV online on how to fix a jammed media of ink and clearing paper jams, so I'm out of options.

    It is plugged into USB

The main problem is the paper jam error.

I don't know if the stuck carrier of ink is the cause.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: OfficeJet Pro ePrint 8600 - cannot select paper tray - HP needs to fix this problem

This is a limitation of the software that HP needs to fix. I bought this machine multifunction largely for two features, ePrint, and two bins to paper. I had released two paper because I often need to print on paper thick and does not want to manually load the cards into the printer whenever I don't want to print on thicker paper. Unfortunately tray 2 is not compatible with card stock so I keep copy regular paper in tray 2 (tray 2 is defined as the default tray) and I keep card stock in Tray 1, which is compatible with cards. The problem and the limitation is when I am traveling and want to use ePrint. Even if my default tray on the printer is 2, which is where the paper is, if I use ePrint to print, HP ePrint by default tray 1, which means that I print on thick paper. This isn't only a problem when you travel. One of the advantages of the ePrint, in theory, is I can print on my desktop at home via ePrint printer when connected to my VPN employers. I've had this machine for two years. It seems that HP would have an update now to solve this problem. So far, nothing. Frustrating!

    Hello @HudsonOH,

Thanks for posting in the forums of HP and welcome.

I understand that you are not able to choose your paper tray of your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one using ePrint. I would like to help with this, as much as I can.

Unfortunately, when you simply send an e-mail to the printer, you cannot change the print settings, because it uses the default settings on the ePrint server.

However, if you have an Android or iOS device, you can download the HP ePrint app. This allows you to add the printer by ePrint e-mail address and send print jobs when you are not with the computer (need you an active wifi or data connection, however). The application also allows to select print settings if you can ensure that you don't waste card stock paper you loaded in the machine.

To download the app on iOS, simply open the app store and type 'HP ePrint' in the search bar.

To download the app on Android, you can open the store game (or game of Google) and search for "HP ePrint.

Once you have installed the application, you can add your printer via his email ePrint:

    1. open the ePrint application and select OK on the demo screens.

    2. Once you reach the home screen, it will show your printer name, or not find printers (depending on whether you are at home with your printer, or on the go). Select this check box.

    3. you will see a tab at the top that says all, select it.

    4. press on the + symbol to add a printer.

    5. Enter your ePrint e-mail address and select Add.

To print using the application, return to the home screen and select an item to print one of the options listed. Note: If you are on iOS, you can even add your e-mail information in the application so that you can print emails.

In addition, you can sign up here for updates on the new firmware and software for your printer, in which case no alternative workaround should arise: stay connected with updates from HP

    I hope this helps!

  • OfficeJet 100: Officejet 100 print legal size paper?

    Hello

I hope that there could be a solution for this. Several users here have a problem with their printers Officejet 100 legal-size paper printing. Below is part of an email I received about this which explains it better that I could.

«Apparently some of the reps there have problems printing their contracts of legal size on their mobile printers HP Officejet 100.» It's happened for quite a while. The printer recognizes the document as the legal document, but printing is disabled: it begins printing in the middle of the image.

VRP have found a solution: they must go to the printer properties and choose explicitly legal paper in the drop size. It is already selected by default, but if they select manually it will print correctly. The problem is that: 1) it is a manual workaround, they must do so for EACH print, and 2) they frequently forget and have to reprint. »

They have already tried to install latest print drivers, but that has not helped. Printers seem to operate normally except for this. What could be the cause of this?

    Thank you.

    Hi @chris_hansen,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you can not print on legal paper with your HP Officejet 100 on Windows 7. I'm happy to help you!

According to your specifications of the printerthis printer supports legal size paper, which is good. First of all, I would like to try running our HP print and Scan Doctor, to ensure that no conflict of driver. If all goes well, try the following:

HP Officejet j5750 error print saying "on paper" but it is not, there 20 sheets. I remove and replace the paper and press OK and the same error.

Typically when you get an error "on paper", the rollers slide and need to be cleaned.  The document below should help you work through the problem.  If this does not work, you will need to replace the printer.

"Out of paper" Error Message is displayed and the product is not look upward or feeding of the paper:

  • laser jet pro m402dn: printer says Add paper and it is full

Yesterday I had a jam in the printer, I found one stuck in the back, so I pulled it out now says set paper needed?

Run a configuration page in the reports menu on the printer and check paper settings to make sure that TRAY 2 is defined for the letter or one and the type is set to all. It could be the job you are trying to send is looking for a different size or type of paper. If all are correct, the I think the flag that hangs down to determine the paper in the tray dislodged somehow.

  • Office Jet Pro 8000 print quality is poor on glossy or matte paper.

My printer is 2 years old.  Glossy is the verticals a (drum lines?) and greased and never heals.  On matte paper, it is dull and lack of color.  I tried a lot of papers.  Is this a problem of printer or paper?  If it's a problem of paper what paper should I use?  I need to print photos for my work to show to customers within a short period of time.

About the default settings, can you go to print and the following information:

    Default paper Type/media type:

    Default paper size/media format:

    Print quality (Normal/best/best):

Normally, if you do not specify at least the type of paper, the printer thinks it's printing on plain paper. The delivery of the ink is different for each different type of media.

Try to adjust this setting and see if printing comes out better. If it (the problem) you can make a shipped printer scheduled for these parameters, so that whenever you print on paper (insert type/manufacturer of paper here), you can use the preset for auto-set the driver accordingly.

  • How do return you an image to be printed on transfer paper?

Trying to find out if the software for the HP Officejet Pro 8500 has to return an image for printing on transfer paper

    Hello

This option is no longer in print as the driver its in most embedded software. For example, in Microsoft paint is an option to return horizontally which has the same effect. To check the software you use to edit your images.

  • Paper error incompatibility, when printing on tabloid paper.

The printer is a HP Officejet Pro K8600 Series.

I am trying to print on tabloid paper (11 x 17) and every time he comes up with a paper mismatch error.

It prints very well when the preferences are set to letter-size, but does not work when it is set to the tabloid.

Any program you use, same result for Adobe, Word and Notepad... etc.

Any PC that you are using, I tried this on several PC.

I tried to use the driver through windows updates and the driver from the HP website.

There is a button on the printer that flashes when you try to print, and if you press the button it goes out a blank sheet of paper and not print anything on this subject.

This printer has only 1 plate.

I fixed this problem by creating a custom Tabloid2 named 11 x 17 paper size

There must be a bug with the printer drivers HP and their tabloid default paper size setting.

  • Correct icc for a hp officejet 6600 and hpq2509a glossy paper profiles

Where can I download the correct icc profile for a hp officejet 6600 and hpq2509a glossy paper? I use Lightroom 4 proofing. I would like to get an overview of what should look like a photo until I print. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    -Paul

Paul, I think icc profiles are generally more specific to the program you are using. We do not have some that are for our printers, but they were created for our software, Designjet.

Also, I know that most of the new monitors will allow you to adjust their resolution to display photo-realism because they are usually of the additive RGB and not the subtractive CMYK who use printers.

Here is some quick information, I found about it: http://goo.gl/QOSmX

I would like to know if this information helps!
