  I spent three very frustrating days with my printer.  Printer worked wireless fine and usb connected until about three days ago.  I've had it for a year and it worked very well for all this time.

  Now, it does print from my laptop. My wife's cell phone can print without problem wireless in another room.

  Here's what I've done so far.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software from the CD drive four different times. It installs and seems to connect properly.  Printer appears in "devices and printers".  It is not a test print.

  I installed all the updates on Windows 7 Home Premium X 64.

  I ran doctor Scan six times.

  I run scans on network for problems.

  I wipe my laptop and do a fresh install (I do each year).  But I did only 3 months.  Really don't want to do this again.

  I have nothing seems to fix.

  The printer connects to the laptop, it can be connected to a network printer. But no printing.

  It is simple ceased three days ago.  I don't remember the changes or warnings.

  I'm a little tech savvy and is not afraid to test - but I've exhausted what I can do.

  It seems to be a problem with permissions on my laptop but I can't in this case.

  I am a pastor and I use my printer almost every day.  I'm desperate for a solution!

  Found the answer in the forum.

  To use a different print driver for printers HP with Windows 7:
  1. click on the start menu.
  2 click devices and printers.
  3. right click on your printer.
  4. Select printer properties.
  5. click on the Advanced tab.
  6. click on new driver.
  7. click on next.
  8. Select HP in the first list.
  9. Select Deskjet 450 in the second.  If the 450 driver is not there, use the Deskjet 990c printer driver.
  10. click Next.
  11. click on finish.
  12. click on apply.
  13. click OK to close the window.

  Work on the two connected usb or wireless printing.  You don't have to change the 450 driver.  I do not know why the pilot of 2540 worked for a year and all of a sudden 3 days ago stop working-, but he did.

• HP Deskjet 2540: installed printer now get the HP StatusBl.dll error

  I have a new Dell computer.  I have a Windows 7 with a free upgrade to a Windows 10.  While Windows 7 I have intalled a HP Deskjet 2540 printer then computer upgraded to Windows 10.  Now on Windows 10.  I uninstalled the printer HP Deskjet 2540 and now get the HP StatusBL.dll error every time when I start the computer.  I drive and looked at disk to find L4uninstall.exe and can't find it.  The disc has a Util directory but no directory of CCC in the Util directory.  How can I get rid of this error at startup of the computer.  I love the HP products!

  The error returns after a shortcut remaining once the software has been uninstalled.

  From file Exploer type %appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup in the address bar and press ENTER.
  Delete the shortcut to monitor alerts to 2540 printer ink and the error should appear is no longer.

• Estation c510a: replaced C510 printhead to no black printing, now it does not print anything!

  A few weeks ago, my printer started printing black as a very light gray. I replaced all cartridges, removed the print head and tried to clean the contacts on the back. From advice on the HP website here, I bought a new print head. Just installed and reinstalled the fundamentally new cartridges. He gave me that a message about old print cartridges may not have enough to complete the new initialization of the print head. I just rejected because the cartridges are fundamentally new (XL version, no less).

  Now, the printer does not print anything. He's not even trying. Zineb screen shows he gets something to print, but it is just there to always say "now printing...". "without actually doing anything. There is an occasional (perhaps every 10 seconds) inside the printer, the noise that resembles something moves back, but it never attracts any document.

  As far as I know, HP has decided that without cartridges NEW NEVER OPEN, my printer is now a brick with a shiny new print head $85.

  Yes, I tried to copy with the same results.

  Help, please. I really want to spend a different $70 on new cartridges and lose the new game that is already there!

  Just upgraded to El Capitan and now cannot connect with Canon PIxma 860 and not financially able to buy a new printer... no workaround solution suggested?  Canon has written is not compatible with El Capitan.  I have to get off at Yosemite?  Thank you.

  We had trouble getting online.  ISP determined it was our router.  Bought and installed new router.  Internet access children laptops and thin, but now HP photosmart Plus B209 sees no new router.  Tried to Setup Wizard, no luck, tried to push button and PIN the installation program from the front of the printer, no luck. Tried to network settings in the box tools in the HP software on my computer, but said that it was impossible to recover the input parameters.  The printer was working fine with the old router.  Report of test of the printer still displays the old "SSID network name so, of course, this isn't the link to the new router."  Help!  don't know what else to do.

  You don't need to buy anything to install this printer.

  Do NOT use a CD for the software (ever, if you can help it).  Download and install the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

• document in the queue won't print or delete. Printer now stuck.

  A document that I have sent to the printer would print not and now will not delete.  Status queued said deletion for these last two days.  This prevents anything else print.  I tried everything I can think of.  Need suggestions.

  Try the following.

• Printing now impossible series officejet 4620

  Recently, our House got flooded and we had to unplug the printer quickly to move the furniture it was set to.  When we hung everything upward, it will not be printed.  Not by USB or wireless.  I have downloaded the print and Scan Dr. and which did not help at all.  I have redownloaded the driver.  I ran the diagnostic wireless report and the SSID and IP address are correct.  I don't know where to go from here and any help would be appreciated.

  -Very well, in some way, I solved this problem (thanks to the...) Dr....).  I found myself just reset everything to factory settings and reconnect the printer on my computer and now it works somehow on both computers.  I hate to say... but I hate technology sometimes.

• HP 6500 ink cartridge black would not print, now it's the color!

  Had a black cartridge half full, printed the morning very well, does not work in the evening.  Read all the messages on the cleaning of the print head alignment.  Has taken the print head, rinsed off the coast of gunked ink.  Black ink now works great!  But guess what – now the color ink does not print.  Yesterday bought all new cartridges.  Clean the printhead again?  Help!  :-)

  Thus, the color ink levels are good. Could be useful running what a couple of print head clean on the printer and leave it for a few hours.

  In order to help you, I'll need more information.

  • Do you see any error messages on the printer? Are you able to perform a self-test or a copy on the printer?
  • What version of Windows are you using? How to find the Windows Edition and the Version on your computer.
  • Have you tried another USB cable or port on the computer?

  I can recommend something suitable that you can use, once I know not what version of operating system you are using. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

• SLOW printing now

  I have a 7410 I bought new for domestic use and barley use.  It was printing fine then it started printing at a snail pace.

  I unplugged & unplugged for awhile and it did not do anything.

  I purchased & installed a new HP ink cartridge, did not help.

  Software uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled, still nothing.

  I tried to clean under but it wasn't dirty and did nothing.

  So now print 1 page B & W every 10-15 minutes.

  Any suggestions?

  Finally after hours & hours of trying everything, I deleted & left out the color cartridge that was empty & it printed the page in 2 seconds as if it was supossed to.  Maybe this will help someone else.

• Unable to print with my dell a920 printer now that I upgraded my computer dell laptop to Vista 64-bit of Windows 7 64-bit. Help.

  Recently, I upgraded my computer laptop studio dell for Windows 7 64-bit to Vista 64 bit and now my Dell a920 all-in - One Printer does not work.  It works well with XP and Vista.   The dell site says that it is not compatible with Windows 7.  So frustrating. Please tell me Windows has a solution for me and they don't leave me high and dry.

  That's why we're always checking the availability of compatible devices
  newest & brightest exploitation
  System. Only Dell (or one that makes the printer for Dell
  before it's new wording) can provide the necessary drivers. This is not a
  Problem of Windows 7.
