Printer prints a summary page
Can you get it someone please let me know how to stop my officejet 6500 to print a summary with file information page after printing a word document?
Hello Mntweaver,
It's actually the Word causes this problem. Here are the steps to turn it off.
- Click on the "desktop" (left upper corner of the window) button and then 'print '.
- Click on 'Options' (lower left corner of the print window)
- Choose the section "display".
- Uncheck the box 'print the document properties '.
- Click OK for all windows and you're done

I get a 'summary' page, detailing the author, date of creation, number of pages, etc. after each page to be printed.
How can I stop this? Thank you.
For the benefit of third parties who may have the same question, please send the details of the resolution.
If printing from Word or other Microsoft Office products in the printing options "Properties of the Document", there is a dialog box, you usually want to make sure it is not checked.

The print page opens not when I try to print a Web page.
I use Firefox for many months and so far I have had no problem printing a Web page. I was away for a week and discovered this problem yesterday when I tried to print a Web page. Maybe there was some changes during the week that I'm not aware of?
This happens on all websites or is it on particular websites?
Normally, a button to launch a page in the print format appears in a new window. Blocker integrated in Firefox allows popups generated by a user by clicking, but if you have additional security modules, maybe one of them is blocking those.
Could test you mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool to disable some advanced features of Firefox and extensions. More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.
Does not work if Firefox: Hold down the SHIFT key when you start Firefox.
If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:
- button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
- Help menu > restart with disabled modules
and OK reboot.
Two scenarios: A small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not update).
Any improvement?

When I print a Web page to a .pdf or .xps file, it creates a new file, but file Explorer says it's 0 KB in size. These .pdf files will open, but they are white - the only thing that appears is the outline of a page, without anything in the outline. When I print an .xps file, File Explorer shows that it contains 0 KB. When I try to open it, I get a message saying that the XPS Viewer cannot open the file. These things just started for me a few days after I installed Firefox 40.0 on a new computer laptop of Toshiba Satellite with 10 Home Windows operating system. I have the latest version of Flash Player (in fact, I just tried redownloading and reinstalling the current version; that does not solve the problem). I tried to change the format by default to print to .pdf file, but that has not solved the problem. I contacted the chat Windows support site; They told me that it was not a Windows problem. Is this a Firefox problem? If so, you can tell me how to solve the problem, please?
Thank you
ssavageFirst of all, try to disable the extensions to see if that helps this, then try safe mode.

Size adapted during the printing of web pages no longer works correctly
If I choose the scale to fit, the impression is ridiculously small. If I turn off appropriate size and scale is 100%, it turns 3-page 11-page document and each page is trashed. He is brother laser & printing of normal files (not web) is fine, as is printing of web pages in IE. Tried to reset the settings of the print for brother in all: config.
Is a visible problem in preview before print or preview looks normal and only the real impression is wrong?
Firefox seems to use only part of the page? Sometimes, Firefox saves a wrong paper size setting. This can be a non intuitive such as name
printer_printer_name.print_paper_data
At least two other users (one said he had a Brother printer) find this 256 value and change to 1 in all: config solved their problem.

Firefox only prints the date in prints of web page
I'm on Firefox 11.0 and are unable to print the date and time printed on web page is printed. Layout looks OK and includes the date and time in the bottom of the right hand. Versions prior (V3?) did print the date, but do not print the last few versions (or title numbers, URL or page).
You may need the paper size defined defined too much causing the URL don't not to print.
Try resetting the printing preferences.

Try to print a Web page or a selection from them.
When 'file' - select 'print' on the tabs of Mozilla, it doesn't. The print menu appears, but when 'print' clicked, the menu box "save under" appears. When "save under" is closed, a dialog box appears saying "unknown error during printing. Cannot print Web page unless a screen saver (ie the entire screen). This has happened only recently (update may). Tried it on Windows Explorer and all is okAfter checking the problem existed in all places - found silly finger pain. When selecting 'print' noticed "Selected printer" had been changed from my normal i865 of "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer"!
Once changed back all O.K.
Thanks for your trouble -

If I print a web page, all simply to print or save to PDF, only the first page prints fine. Page 2 is shifted to the right, such as the information is cut on the right edge. Printer does not print not complete pages.
When I give print command, the printer (I use MS Works), the printer starts to print a page and then, after a few lines, will be offline prematurely. The printer does not turn off. It sounds the signal that the job is done and ejects the sheet of paper. Maybe 5 lines are printed until the printer ends prematurely.
Hi Davy40,
I understand that you are having problems with your printer only give you partial pages, but acting like it printed the entire page. I'm sorry to hear what is happening, but I will certainly do my best to help you.
I just need to ask you some questions to help you better!
1. what model printer work?
2. you are working with a Windows or a Mac computer?
3 do you get errors when trying to print?
4. how the printer is connected to the computer? USB or wireless?
Once I have this information, I should be able to help!

Impossible to print the web page in Firefox
Since the evolution of the browser Firefox as my default browser, I can't print. Works very well with Explorer, but not Firefox. I printed a test page and printer removed OK. I made sure that my printer is selected, and I also tried the suggestion of "reset" which help to provided Firefox. Also, when I start now I asks me to reinstall my printer and did a few times.
1. When you did the reset, you have reset all the preferences for this printer? Or just the main prefs?
2 did you do the reset after you have reinstalled the printer software?
3. what brand and model printer is this?
