I would be very interested in what site you were directed and whether there was a link to this site as part of the FixIt.

Often, but not always, the symptoms you describe are caused by a corrupt print job stuck in the queue or a damaged printer driver.  However before you clean things up, on general principles, that you can download, install, update and run full scans with each of these two free programs:

    AntiMailware MalwareBytes
    SUPERAntiSpyware

Do not operate the two scans simultaneously.  Each will take a long time, so start it and then go do something else for a while.

NOTE: If after completing step has the print spooler is not always running after you launched the command "net start spooler", you will not be able to follow all the steps in "First Article".  Instead, go to the other link and download and get and use the utility 'cleanspl' such as described here.

NOTE 2: Please identify your printer.  HP printer designations have more than a number.  They could be DeskJets, LaserJet, OfficeJets, or something else.

Do not forget to check with the support of the manufacturer of the printer, drivers and forums for known issues, because this issue is often
    due to pilot errors.

  • All-in-One L7550: all-in-One printer L7550 stop working after a Win 10 update

In the last two days my printer has stopped working after many updates to Win 10.  Functions in fact any printing has stopped (swirling points) to include my PDF SW.  I downloaded the last SW all-in-One and tried to install it.  The first thing that happened is that he tried to remove the previous SW.  Hooked to halfway through it.  Then, it was a nightmare.  I can't get the rest of the SW uninstalled nor can I install the latest SW.  I even tried to install the previous SW in Win 7 compatibility, but after extraction it just stops.  Tried to install the current version in Win 8 conpatibility, but it also wrong on.

Any ideas wher can I start?

Welcome to the Forums of HP, @CharlieCC,.

I hope to help you with installation and uninstallation issues you are having with your Officejet L7550 on Windows 10. Before you get any software troubleshooting, try to make a copy of the front of the printer. If copies work fine, continue with the steps below to work on the issues of software!

Step 1: perform a level 3 Uninstall to remove completely all the files to your system printer.

    1. Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%
    2. Delete all files and folders in the temp folder. Choose Skip if all pop ups seem to say all files cannot be deleted
    3. Download the software and choose to save money, save it on the desktop: all-in-one printer, HP Officejet Pro L7550
    4. After downloading software and extracts, reopen the temp folder, use the instructions in step 1.
    5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
    6. Open the folder Util
    7. The CCC folder
    8. If you have a computer HP run the L3uninstall.exe (or .bat).
    9. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer
    10. Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
  • Print to PDF - Thunking spooler stops working

When you print a document in Word 2007 to create a PDF file (I have Acrobat 9), I now get an error message that says "Thunking spooler APIs from 32 to 64 process has stopped working".  The PDF is created, but that part of the document is printed.  I did that for awhile on this system, XP Edition Vista 64 family, without problem.  But recently it started and I can't create PDF documents in Word 2007.  When searching on the microsoft.com site, I can't find anything on it.  Thanks in advance for any help.

    markbgardner,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

If it is a 64-bit version of Vista, then your problem may be related to the try to print from a 32-bit program on a 64-bit operating system.  There is a fix for this problem here:
You experience problems when you try to print a document in a 32-bit program on a computer that is running a 64 bit version of Windows Vista
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/941962/en-us

If that solves not, try to uninstall and reinstall the printer driver.  It is possible that the drive got corrupted.

Also try to run a System File Checker:
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

If this does not work, you can do a system restore to a point in time where he worked:
To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    Click Finish.
The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

  • Vista print spooler stops

The print in Vista spooler stops when I try to print. He said the strategy adopted by the DEP. All printers disappear. I have to manually restart the spooler service (it is set for the recovery of the car) and it can print for a bit, but the spooler stops again.

    Hello

Since it is a DEP issue with a printer that could be a problem of IE (which concern Explorer and other functions of the system),
a spooler problem, or both. Frankly I don't know that I have 1 but I'd probably use these
    Methods.

EricLaw IEInternals - a peek at Internet Explorer from inside. -Understanding DEP/NX
    http://blogs.msdn.com/ieinternals/archive/2009/10/10/understanding-data-execution-prevention-crashes-in-IE8.aspx

The problem might actually be an add-on or another program to the origin of the problem and you should check that
    1st.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have NEVER on it
machines, including those that you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause strange problems).

Start - all programs - Accessores - system tools - IE with no Addons - does this work better?

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security - reset all Zones by default level - apply / OK

    not better?

Close IE and try again IE or IE with no Addons

IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if it is there, it is no longer necessary but Java always install
"(and it causes problems - you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again)." Search for other possible problems.

Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right. Permit
are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program to ask about it here.

Could be that a BHO - BHOremover - free - standalone program, needs no installation, download and run - not all
are bad, but some can cause your question. (Toolbars are BHO)

    Startup programs
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disable.html

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever suspect malware, and it would be
unusual with Prevx market except for an occasional cookie of low level (not a big deal), update it, then
    run as a scanner.

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/

    I would add prevx so.

Prevx - Home - small, fast, exceptional CLOUD free protection, working with other security programs. It comes
a scan only, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something to come back here or use Google to see how to remove.

I understand that you use a printer HP LaserJet Pro P1102w with a Windows 7 PC, which ceased print and also, you can not reinstall the software and drivers for the printer. I would like to help with that.

The printer works fine on this computer, but all of a sudden it stopped working. (no changes made to the front of the computer)

When I run windows troubleshooting it tells me that all is well

I tried to download and install the latest software several times, but it never ends the installation, he said only: "facility" for hours, but nothing happenes.

At one point, I had an error in the spooler, but I get over a long time.

Then the other day, after trying to install the driver once more, I'm suddenly endlesly was able to print a Word-dokument.

But the next day, I still could ' t print.

Today I tried to download and run your software: print and scan doctor. He told me that everything was good and same printet me a test page.

But I am not able to print anything all programs (word, pdf, browser etc)

I tried to uninstall the printer and install again. Nothing works.

Do you have any suggestions on what to do next?

    Best regards, Mette Sørensen

Try to STOP and RESTART your printer spoller. I see you have an error in the front.

    1. click on Start Menu

    2. right click on COMPUTER

    3. choose MANAGE

    4. click on SERVICES and APPLICATIONS, and then click SERVICES

    5. scroll down until you see Printer Spooler. Stop and then restart. Check the results and try to print.

    Hello Kevin,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft Forum.

I would be grateful if you can provide us with the following information to help us better understand the issue.

What is the brand and model of your printer and your computer?

Try it out below mentioned methods and see if it works for you.

    Method 1

This tutorial is designed to help you identify and fix common printer problems in Windows, including print errors, print spooler errors, and other issues that could prevent you from printing.

    Solve printer problems

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows/printer-problems-in-Windows-help#fix-printer-problems=Windows-7&V1H=win8tab1&V2H=win7tab1&V3H=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

    Method 2

You can also try running the fixit provided in the following Microsoft article.

Diagnose and automatically fix problems printing and printer

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/printing_problems/

    Method 3

If the question is always persistent then it means either the print spooler service is missing or damaged, I suggest you run the REG file that was downloaded in the link provided by Ramesh Srinivasan in his position, responded on June 2, 2012 in the thread link provided below.

    Deleted print spooler service

I have a Dell Vostro 3400, running 32-bit Windows 7. I installed the drivers for a printer laser jet HP M1212nf. I can print when I am connected via a USB cable.

Until recently, I could also print through a network (the printer is connected to an iMac, and both computers are networked). I installed Hello. Now, when I select the printer in the network - among my devices listed - battery a few print jobs to the top and do not print. I ran software problems of MS, but in vain.

How to get network again printing work?

It is most likely either a problem on windows print spooler (go into services and stop it and then restart) or a problem with the part of mac... She said something on the server in offline mode?

  • Because I installed a Satellite L300 printing software stopped working

    Hello!

I'm new here so not sure if I'm posting in the right place. Mods, please do not hesitate to go to the relevant section, thank you.

OK, I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 laptop and since I installed a printing software Wednesday evening, my laptop suddenly stopped working!

Since Thursday night, I tried to make it work, but I am faced with this message:

When I load up, it goes to Windows error recovery:

"windows does not start.a recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

If windows files have been damaged or misconfigured, Startup Repair can help diagnose and fix the problem.if power was interrupted during startup, choose start windows normally"

then it gives two options: Launch Startup Repair (recommended)
    Start windows normally
    ==========
-then I click on (recommended) launch Startup Repair
-then a scren called load' system recovery options «...» It is said: select an operating system to repair, click next.only windows vista listed operating systems and can be repaired

If you do not see your operating system listed, click load drivers to load the drivers for your hard disks...

but nothing comes up so I click load drivers and it gives me just loads of records at random... and I don't have any idea those to load
    ========
    5 years report an abuse
    Additional details
    so I click "next".
    ========
    Then, I have 5 options:
    -Startup Repair
    -system restore
    -windows complete pc restore
    -windows memory diagnostic tool
    -command prompt
    ==========
Startup Repair says that manually, it can't solve any problems

-simply said system restore your computer is located in a limited State, and this action can not be changed... but there is no option to do so

-restoration of windows complete pc says I need to insert a backup disk which I do not have

diagnostic tool memory Windows says that windows blocks it
    ============
but on restoring system it tells me to type something like: rstrui.exe /OFFLINE:C:\Windows
but I don't no where... I typed in the command prompt, but don't understand how to use it
    =========
I also tried to click Start windows normally, but it won't work

If the problem is the software installed, start Notepad in safe mode and try to start restoring the system from there.
Please let me know what options are available. Can roll you back OS a few days back?
Are some that are listed restore points?

  • The print spooler stops and I'm unable to start

I have a HP Officejet Pro L7680 all-in-one that has stopped printing because of the stopped print spooler.  The printer is connected to a local network.  My OS is Windows 7.  I tried Wizard solutions HP that does not help or give answers.  All I get is error 1053 has failed at the beginning or demand for appropriate ion Conytol.  What should I do to start the print spooler?

To start the spooler go to the start menu and select Control Panel then Tools administration and select Services, and then scroll until you see print spooler. If the spooler is running, then select Restart the service, and then try to print a document.

Let me know how it goes.

  • Want to 4502eAiO: print SPOOLER STOPPED message. WITH THE HELP OF HP ENVY 4502 AND ACER ICONIA TABLET?

Have had problem and cannot print. The print spooler if am stopped message. Whenever I look for support with that it seems as if all suggestjons are on Windows or Mac. How do I even stop and restart the print spooler please?

    Hi there Lesyl,

I see that you cannot print because of an error regarding the print spooler. Have you tried to remove data from the app to the spooler? For that; Settings > Apps > Plugin printing HP Service > clear data.

Another thing you can try is to start the table in safe mode and see if the print spooler error is always present. How to start your Android phone or tablet in Safe Mode Let me know if you can print in safe mode.

Don't forget, the laurels is as the version of the Internet to a High Five!

  • Print spooler stops. Impossible to reinstall printer.

Error on reinstall printer - print spooler has not stopped.  Press 'Yes' to continue.  When presses loops back on the desktop.

    Hi Stantheman60,

Before you can start to extract the file from the disc print spooler, we recommend to download and run the Microsoft Fix and check if you can install printer successfully. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324757
    b. click Microsoft hotfix and run the tool successfully.
    c. restart the computer so that the changes take effect.
    d. install the printer and check the result.
