Printing backwards! ???

When I print a receipt or coupon directly from a Web site, printing is back! Why is this? And how to fix?

Hello and thanks for the updated information.

Have you tried a program other than printing from a Web site? I want to check if this problem occurs from several program (s). This will help narrow down the issue.

Please follow this document HP text and image printing back. Even though this document provides a different operating system, the steps will be the same. Make sure that the "reflection" is set to off.

Please post your results, I'll be looking forward to hear from you. I'll help you if these steps do not resolve your problem. You may need to uninstall/reinstall the software.

    Marcnic68,

    Welcome to the HP Forum.

If you use Windows, you can use Paint.

Painting still works and is included in Windows 8.x, is told by the way!

    1. First make a copy of your file if you find yourself flipping around your original file.
    2. Open the new .jpg file in paint
    3. On the Home tab, click on 'Select' > Select All
    4. Next to the 'Select' box blue, find three icons. The third icon from the top down is the command "rotation / flip.
    5. Select the small arrow next to the icon "rotation / flip" > select "Flip horizontal" *
    6. Save the file under a new name
    7. Print the file

  • I have HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 (network). It prints backwards (last page first).

How can I make my HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 (Network) to print pages in order, i.e. page 1, first, etc. ?

    Hi kentpatty!

If you go to the menu 'Préférences' when you go to print, there are an option for 'Page order' you can change "Back to front" to "Front to Back". Who should take care of it for you, but I would like to know if it doesn't and I'll try to find something.

  • HP Officejet J5780 all-in-One printing backwards!

    Hello!

I have a HP Officejet J5780 all-in-one and had no problems at all since I bought it 15 or 16 months ago.

However, a strange thing is happening out of the blue - today, everything that I try to print print back - very odd!

Clues as to what this may be? Maybe a virus?

I checked all the print settings and they are as they are normally.

Any help you can lend is appreciated, I should use the printer this weekend!

    Thank you!

This problem may occur if you installed Windows XP SP3 recently. If you go to one of the tabs under printing options, you will have an option named "Mirror Printing" or "Mirror Image". try turning it off. I think it's under the "Advanced" tab

  • HP Color LaserJet CP3505 Company Logo print upside down and backwards?

    Hi all

IM currently facing a weird problem where a certain part of the page (the Company Logo) is printing backwards and forth. No changes were made to the system recently.

The printer is a network printer that is installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition.

    Model number J7987E.

Ive tried printing the same page in multiple operating systems, multiple machines, etc. Nothing helps.

Ive also tried to print the exact document to another printer, the printer prints very well.

From what I can tell, the drivers are up-to-date.

Any idea? This printer is used specifically for printing invoices and is rather important.

Update the drivers for PCL5c, PCL6. Our unit was having the same problem. The driver update worked.

  • Print-up Mac OSX

I have a printer HP Photosmart 7510 I share PC and MAC printing. I have a Macbook Pro that is currently running OSX 10.8.2. When printing from Mac, I can't seem to find the printer option which allows to select either before printing backwards or backwards forwards impression. All other options are available. When printing with the PC, this isn't a problem. Yeserday, I downloaded and installed the latest drivers for printer HP from Apple. The file name is HewlettPackardPrint2.13.dmg. After installing the new driver, the problem remains. This is a minor problem when you print a large multi page document, I would like to be able to select back to print, but this option doesn't seem to be available. Is it possible that I could put the back to the front for this printer's default printing option and just leave that he defined?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello

The application used to print, open the print dialog box, and then click the drop-down list below (wll usually appear under the name of the application (e.g. TextEdit, as Copies & Pages within the suite MS Office).)

Select paper Handaling and set the order of the pages as inverse.

You can save the default settings by clicking the Presets menu, and then save the current settings as a preset.

Once you print using this preset, it will remain the default until another preset will be used.

  • P3015 - can you print header on both duplex and duplex not?

OK, so I read the posts on bugs with the firmware and printing backwards. I am convinced that this is not the problem that we have.

We have a P3015DN. Try 2 we have letterhead.

Staff sometimes want to print duplex on letterhead sometimes single-sided.

I know this sounds simple butI don't think that this is possible.

An example: Document1 has two pages, the word on the first page and on the second secondpage firstpage.

If I load the paper as indicated for letterhead (2 tray settings are A4 and every type) have one side it prints two pages correctly the way straight to the top.

If I change the settings to print both sides and print the document it prints the page one to the back of the paper to header (and backwards) and two page at the front of the book and upside.

    Is this correct behavior?

Is there a way to get around this? I tried rotation (which brings them the correct way to the top), but it still prints pages and then two in the front and one at the rear. (although I also change the parameter from the front to the back on the back of a plan)

Probably HP cannot have highlighted a printer allowing printing two-sided all or nothing?

Any help is appreciated, we have 10 of them that will come back in a week if not.

According to the manual of LaserJet P3010 series user's Guide (http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01612470/c01612470.pdf - see page 105) you should be able to set the Alternative letterhead mode in the driver:

Load letterhead or paper pre-printed the same way for each employment, to printing on one or both sides of the page:

one) Open the Options section of the Document, and then open of the printer features section.

    b) in the Alternative headerdrop down menu Mode, select on.

    c) in the product, the paper in the same way that you would for printing on both sides.

  • Vista / Win 7 Troubleshooting Guide duplex printing

Some users have problems using the automatic duplex unit in Vista or Windows 7.  This guide addresses some of the common questions and provides solutions.

No option to duplex print. The selection for automatic duplexing two may be grayed out, or only manual duplex is available.  This happens usually because the duplexer is not recognized as installed, or the driver can default to not installed.   To fix this in Vista do the following: click Start, Control Panel, printers, right click on the printer, run as administrator, properties, (continue), parameters of the device, Installation Options, switch to "both sides Duplex" installed, OK.  For Windows 7, the method is similar: go to start devices and printers, right-click on the printer, printer properties, together of settings, Installation Options, device the "two sided faces" to installed, OK.

Back side Prints Upside Down. There are several possible problems that can cause the back side print backwards.  The first thing to check is the settings.  Generally, there is a checkbox in the 'Finish' tab or 'Features' to select 'Pages Flip Up' or maybe 'bind on the short edge.  You may find that some programs require this box to be the reverse of what you would expect.  I've heard tell that some Adobe products requiring the creation of reverse.  If changing the setting does not change the direction so you may need an updated driver or a fix.  You can check the website of HP heredriver updates.  Fixes for some ink jet models are available here.  This problem has been corrected in most of the drivers for Windows 7 but can still occur on Windows 7 systems that have been updated to Vista.  The patches for Vista works on Windows 7 as well if necessary. [Updated - HP has now fixed this problem in a lot of pilots.  Check here before I continue with my patches, the HP solution is better automated to install the hotfix].

"Material duplexer is not installed". Some printers such as the Photosmart C7280 connected networks may incorrectly indicate that the material of the duplexer is not installed when you print two-sided pages.  By clicking on 'OK' will cause the pages to print correctly.  HP has released updates for the drivers to resolve this issue, see the HP driver page to see if updates are available for your model.  If your printer does not have an available update there is a work around which may help: some users have reported that installing the printer as a connected USB device, and then restored in network after the installation will fix the problem temporarily.

Other questions. If you have other issues to print duplex on Vista or Windows 7 please post the questions as a response in this thread.  Be sure to note what printer model, how the printer is connected, your operating system as well as the details of the issue you are experiencing.

It is a placeholder to mark the thread as an answer.  (This makes more visible in search of the forum.)  To see solutions read the first post on this topic.

  • Print two-sided upside down (wrong way upwards)?

OfficeJet Pro 8500 has / Windows Vista on a laptop

I don't know that it is really easy to solve.

Did a search for printing double-sided and back printing backwards and do not see a solution.

I print duplex both sides of a piece of paper, but the reverse is the wrong way to the top (upside down), so what is the configuration in printing preferences to get back to print in the same direction as the front.

    Hello

Protrait print function or landscape, under properties (or similar depending on the application), select back on the edges, short or long should solve the problem.

    Kind regards.

  • HP 6500 has more - automatic duplex printing

He bought for a friend, but can not get automatic duplex printing to work. Says it is installed and will allow you to do manual duplex printing! Obviously I'm not the only person who has had problems since that HP has published a directive on XP, Vista and Windows 7 (what we're missing) under the title of "double-sided printing Option is not available, even if an automatic duplex (Duplex) printing accessory is installed.

Step 1 of this directive can be satisfied. Second stage is from another world! There is No "Features" tab on our menu and therefore we cannot continue!

Can someone in the HP please look into this as soon as possible, because they have a very dissatisfied customer who lives about 85 miles away from me. Any help would be appreciated.

Interestingly, even if the duplex option is installed and confirmed installed, when you go to print options and watch the finish tab - no duplex is shown?

    Hi all

This is wht I want to do:

    (1) in the printer setup menu look under the "Reports" menu and select "Printer Status Report. Once it prints look for the option "duplexer. Must say "installed".

    (2) in the computer, close all windows open as Word, Acrobat etc.

    3) double-click the icon of the printer that you see on the computer screen. Open the actions of the printer and then open "customize your printer.

    4) click on the tab "device settings". ' Here 'Both sides print' or "Duplexer" should say "Installed" or automatic "and if you see"Manual Duplex"it should read 'off '. Click on apply, and then click OK

    5) click on "Set your Preferences.

    (6) check the option "Print on both sides" or something like that. For this option, select "Flip on short edge.

    (7) also, click on the 'Advance' button and look for a reference to two back.

    (8) click on apply, and then click OK. Now try printing.

If it solves your problem, but it prints backwards, application, click File ==> Print ==> select the printer ==>, click Properties. Here select "Flip on Long Edge" and then try to print.

Note: Legal size paper cannot be used for duplex printing. Try again with size of letter or A4 size.

  • Verso, photo printing

I use a computer laptop and trunning Windows 7 64 bit home edition. I recently purchsed a 5520 HP all-in-one inkjet multifunction printer which is great. However, I have noticed that recently, after downloading an image to print and frame in my living room that image printed backwards. In other words, it the people in the picture while watching us on the left side of the image. However, once printed the people appeared on the right side. So the writing on the picture has been reversed as well.

Have you hade of suggestions how to solve this problem?

    Thank you,

    Gary Slippoy

It is the only program I have. Hoever late last night, I had a follow-up on the site of Photoshop Elements give me the answer. So everything has been supported.

    Thank you

  • How to print back to the T-shirt iron-on paper?

I was looking for a method to print to the rear.  I T-shirt iron - on paper, but to make it work, the characters must be printed backwards, to the mirror-image format.

In this way, when the page of iron is used, mailbox transfer for the T-shirt properly and can be read normally.

    I have a HP OfficeJet 6500 E710a.

The only way I can think is to print on a transparency, and then use the copy to the printer function to copy backward, on the page of iron.

Is it possible to make the printer actually print the characters backwards?

    Thank you very much.

    Alex

OK, you can install another driver as follows: go devices and printers folder, right click on the HP Officejet 6500 and select properties from the Printer Ports and see which port is affected.  Make a note of the port, and then click Cancel.  Now click on add a printer, Stop, the printer that I want isn't listed, add a local printer or network printer with manual settings, then use an existing port, (select the port found earlier), next.  At this point, click on Windows Update in the lower right and wait a few minutes for the list to repopulate.  During the updating of the list, select HP (Hewlett-Packard no) for the manufacturer and the HP Deskjet 6500, and then click Next, finish.  You can now right-click the Deskjet 6500 and select Printing Preferences.  Select the appropriate paper type, and then select Finish and the Mirror Image box, click apply.

You can now select the Deskjet 6500 to print the mirror image.
