  Some IIC (individual ink cartridge) printers have print heads that require ink available for periodic maintenance tasks. This avoids problems with hooves in the print head and the bad print quality. The following printers are unable to print when a cartridge is empty, even if the other cartridges.

  

  If one or more color ink cartridges are low but not empty and you want to minimize the use of color ink, you can change the settings in the HP software to print in black ink only (grey levels). Even if you change the print settings to print in black ink only, the other ink cartridges still have ink in them so that the printer to print.

  If you choose to print in black ink only, the printer always uses small amounts of ink from all cartridges for occasional maintenance tasks. HP recommends to replace the low ink cartridges in order to avoid any interruption in printing.

  The printer Officejet Pro 8100 has the same print mechanism like its counterpart of all-in-One Officejet Pro 8600.  This printer has a print head mechanism that contains 4 individual cartridges: CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black).

  It will replace the cartridge if the unit provides a message from one of the colors being empty, until the unit will resume printing.  This is a retention mechanism to avoid the product from damage.  I hope this helps.

  I installed an HP XL Staples Black cartridge and it made my obsolete printer.  It will not print and I can't send and receive faxes.  Clips to replace the damsged cartridge, but my printer still does not work.  I was told that one option would be to buy a new cartridge door, but when I tried to do that HP did not even what I was talking about.  I specified "door-cartridge" that seems logical to me, but obviously not to HP.  I am able to remove the cartridge door, but I can't do HP understand when I asked to buy a new.  Is there another name for the cartridge door, or I have to buy a new printer?

  Fortunately, the problem has been resolved.  I removed the cartridge door, he soaked alcohol and rinse under water up to.  I waited until that all the water had evaporated since the cartridge door by shaking gently until no more water was obvious.  I replaced the cartridge door, put the cartridges in and the 309 printer performs better than before.  Now, I am also able to send and receive faxes and my printer is aligned correctly. Information for getting to this point was this Council and using the tips of several posters I did the above cleaning method and my 309 a works very well.  Since so many of us 309 owners have had this problem that HP would be wise to give us information on our cleaning cartridge media and to include this information in the printer manual.  Until I read the suggestions on this forum, I was intending to buy a new printer.

  I'm working on some proof of concept models experiment with a cursor code. I had to put a button on the top of the slide which remain in effect while the slides change in the slider. I put the button like an AP div and now is to create an empty space above the header image. I have searched and tried many things to fix and I can't seem to find a way to correct the situation.  I must have this proper research before that I present it to you and white space prevents me to do.

• Rendering and export failed with an unknown error because of the color of Lumetri?

  I am rendering & export failures with an 'unknown error' code within Premiere Pro and Media Encoder.  I think that the problem is related to the Lumetri color filter that is widely used in all of the timeline.  There are hundreds of clips and each clip has 2-4 color filters Lumetri applied.  Each clip also has the red giant Cosmo and filter FilmConvert Pro 2.36.1 coming to overlap (visually underneath by order of effects filters Panel) all filters from Lumetri.  The reason why I believe that the problem is related to the Lumetri color filter is that it is the first time that I use.  Previously, I used the filter red giant Colorista III coloring, but last week decided to try using the Lumetri color for the same effect.

  Please let me know if anyone has had similar experiences, what were their solutions, or if someone has some ideas on how to solve this problem.  I would really appreciate the help!

  I have discovered a workaround of sorts.  I noticed that when rendered in PP he would make progress before a failure (the green line that precedes the timeline would get a little longer).  If I saved this progress and rebooted the system, then tried to make it again, it would make a little further.  I've done this dozens of times for 4 hours make completely a 14:30 long sequence.

  I noticed doing this routine that my CPU was maxxed on all rendered.  Resource monitor reported the use of CPU to 143% continuous (all other indicators RAM, disk speed, etc. were well under their maximums).  This brings me to suspect that maybe there is a problem with overheating of the CPU.  But who would be closed for the entire system, correct?

  Once the entire sequence has been made (all the green lines above clips) I tried export by using the "Use preview files" option enabled.  Failure again.  I tried export uncompressed AVI, Quicktimes and PNG sequences.  All have failed.  I tried to export to PP as well as TEA.  The two have not.  I tried to export with option 'To make maximum quality' is enabled.  Surprisingly, this product the longest time encoding managed (32 minutes before failure).  As by chance, using the option of MRQ kept my CPU loads sawtoothing between 100% and 75%, then maybe there's something to the CPU overheating theory?

  In an ultimate attempt desperate to save my video project (looming deadlines!) I divided the sequence of Assembly in five servings (I cut on the melted white or fade-to-black transitions) and exported to each of them.  This copy export times within 20 minutes.  It worked.

  I noticed this another Adobe Forums thread that seems to speak of the similar difficulties with effects of Lumetri in Creative Cloud 2015.  Perhaps the Lumetri effects are not ready for prime time?

  Thank you for offering help to solve this problem.

  I was able to export the majority of the sequence with all the Lumetri effects, red giant and FilmConvert mixed in clips.  After the sequence using the tedious method described above I segmented the sequence in the quarterfinals; all exported except one.  I divided it into two; Another exported doesn't have.  I cut half too, once again only half exported without failure.  I finally reduced the embarrassing part until a second sequence clips 35; an interview with green screen with superimposed titles and superposition of b-roll clips.

  I removed all the effects of the Lumetri of these clips and replaced by Red Giant Colorista III effects, which are very similar to the effect of Lumetri in the GUI and application.  The sequence made completely without "unknown error."  Then it was exported successfully (and used about 70% when compared to more CPU activity 110% with the Lumetri to export).

  The difference would be that the effect of color of Lumetri has this YUV icon next to it in the effect controls panel?  Which means that YUV?

  The problem is perhaps not totally related to the color of Lumetri effect (as I said, I was able to export the majority of the 14:30 sequences use, although gradually by segmentation of the sequence into smaller portions), but if the move is a solution then I'll use it.

  I lost a day to fix this.  If this thread is useful to someone else, then it was worthwhile.

• 8250 incorrect "date of expiration" and "Empty cartridge" message. Ink replaced but still the message.

  I got the expired cartridge message on my Photosmart 8250 for a year or two, for 2 cartridges, even if the cartridges were of the date. Remove one of the offending cartridges and replace immediately seem to do the sorting.  Problem is one of the "expired" cartridges, Magenta, has finally shown as empty and reinstated. I get now both the message expired and the empty cartridge (for all new Magenta). The watch also still message has expired for the cartridge else I have to say is now quite old, but still has a lot of ink in it.

  I gritted my teeth and to purchase 2 cartridges of spare yesterday, one to replace the old "expired" clear cyan and the other to replace magenta of replacement. The clear cyan expired message disappeared but the message re magenta is still show it as being expired, even if the dates printed on the two new magenta cartridges is 2014. I always get the message empty cartridge for both the first replacement magenta cartridge that I bought a few days ago, as well as for the second replacement I bought yesterday.

  I have tried everything I can find mentioned in this forum to solve this problem, but have had no success. I have to assume that the printer has failed, or is there a fix for this problem?

  If you have another cartridge, which could remove the error. You do not have to throw away your existing criteria, just put them in a ziplock bag in plastic and place them in a cool, wet - spot like a refrigerator. Change the cartridges and see if this removes the error message.

  The Photosmart 3210 printhead a permanent.  You will need to have available in any color ink not to damage the print head.  Your only option is to get the refill for empty ink cartridges.

• HP Photosmart more: I took my black cartridge and now the printer thinks it is used. Help!

  I have a HP Photosmart Plus B210A, Nr CN217A model. I pulled out my black ink cartridge without checking the levels of ink in the tools, because the black text was not printing. So now I have a new cartridge (XL) think the printer is used and therefore will not accept it.   Thank you, I put the printhead in hot distilled water and it worked! (Min is longer under warranty).

  I would add that you should wear rubber gloves and make sure you have a non-porous barrier between your workspace and from the print head. It's very messy. Also, you must turn off the printer and let it prepare again for printing. If this is not the case, he just told you that there is a problem with the printhead and will not let you do anything else.

  The color radio button to use the black cartridge is grayed out if you choose to print in grayscale. If the color cartridge is empty, you cannot print in grayscale on photo paper. It allows you to print in grayscale on plain paper.

  In other words, that it is making me use the color cartridge for printing in grayscale on photo paper. It doesn't look good for me.

  Well Yes, that's right.  The ink in the black cartridge is an ink pigment (about particles of carbon suspended in the solution) and cannot be absorbed by the photo paper.  The ink in the color cartridge is dye based (like dye food) and is absorbed by the coating on photo paper.  That is why all the printing with black cartridge is denied when using photo paper.

  Pigmented ink is used in the black cartridge to produce the beautiful crisp text on plain paper.  There are HP printers with cartridges 'Photo Black' which are ink to dye black which can be used on photo paper.  These printers also have a black text in another cartridge which is a pigmented ink.

  I replaced the printhead, according to your instructions, several times, but again, the error message occurs and won't let me use the menu button yet.  The red light on the ink cartridge "M" flashes slowly rather than stay on.  Also, your instructions omitted a step: remove all the ink cartridges before you lift the print head lock lever.
