  I recently had to replace my old computer with an HP Pavilion a6700f running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit SP1.

  I got my 7410 HP all-in-One printer connected and operating, the latest software HP installed and checked for updated drivers, firmware or Windows updates to date. Everything is up-to-date.

  However, my two-sided printing accessory is not recognized. I tried to do an update of the parameters, but the accessory does not appear in the drop-down menus.

  I learned by HP Technical Support that it is a Windows problem, but I can't quite believe that even Microsoft would come out an operating system does not recognize the material of the major manufacturer.

  Is that what everyone knows about this problem? Is this really a Windows glitch?  If so, is there a workaround solution that will allow me to do automatic duplex printing?

  You just need to save the DPG file to a temporary location.  Folder is the location for temporary files of the system, it refers to a directory.  If for some reason it doesn't, you can do the following to the administrative command prompt:

  mkdir c:\temp

  [save the gpd c:\temp\hpo7x00t.gpd]

  then in the copy command:

  copy c:\temp\hpo7x00t.gpd c:

• HP printer loses the duplex setting

  OfficeJet Pro 8500 A910.   I have the duplex unit installed and that you have used successfully for some time.   Are some time I tried to print double-sided, but the option was not in the print window.  I went into the options of the printer and found that the duplex was not checked.  I checked and was able to print two-sided without problem.

  Some time later I tried again to duplex, and again once the option wasn't there.  I can reset the option, but very shortly after the OS 'forgets' setting.  Basically, I have to do every time I want to duplex.

  This was not always a problem.  It worked fine until several months ago (and Mac OS updates several there).  I have two Macs connected over wi - fi for this printer and Mac have the problem.  I am not sure. but I think that it may be violating in Yosemite.  I had workaround for let it roll so far.  I was hoping a updates have included a fix but alas that was not to be.

  you still have this problem? I have exactly the same problem and cannot find a solution. It's very weird. I change the setting in preferences, it goes well for a few prints, and then he is gone again...

  I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. This caused my Deskjet 6940 stop printing. I removed the drivers. I reinstalled the drivers from inside Windows 7, because HP supports page says that there is no available drivers for HP.

  In my preliminary (complete) drivers, I could use the automatic duplex (2-sided) printing option. This option has now BEEN my options in the printer properties. I have correctly installed on the printer itself automatic duplex printing accessory.

  Question - is there a driver or some other difficulty that I can use to recover my automatic duplex printing option?  Your help is greatly appreciated.

  Also, if I am just doomed until HP publishes a "full" driver for Win 7, please let me know, so I don't worry about this.

  Try these steps that should help you set up correctly:

  1. click on Windows icon () on the taskbar > Control Panel > printers

  2 right click on the printer icon.

  3. click on properties and then click on the device settings tab.

  4. click on the plus sign (+) next to Options installable to extend it if necessary.

  5. click on the duplex unit to activate the menu drop down.

  6. click on the dropdown next to the unit duplex, then select installed.

  7. click on apply and then click OK.

  The ePrint code is not present on the ePrint information page, if you are low or cyan ink. The code of the printer prints in blue.
