Unfortunately I forgot the e-mail account.

This is why Im asking if theres a way to reset the email Add (account) that has been put forward or to HARD RESET the unit as other android phone.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi @rinabee123

In order to configure the device again, you need TO sign in with the Google account that has been installed on the device in the past. Are you positive that you can't remember the email address used to connect to the start? To see if you can identify the e-mail address, login to http://myaccount.google.com , using your various accounts and click on DAge activity & notifications. In do you see your PRIVATE? If this is not the case, this account has not been used on the device.

You define the Google account that was used, if you have changed the password, you MUST wait 72 hours before you can enter this Google account and complete the installation wizard. It is a requirement of Google security and cannot be changed.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 8900 reset completely - edit: problem solved.

I'll try and provide as much information as possible here, but I am very confused on my 8900 (OS 4.6.1.199) that will accomplish a reset.

Yesterday when the phone was sitting right next to me, the screen turn white background seemed the phone was given to zero himself, but it never reset and just would stay at my screen from provider of carrier (Cincinnati Bell) for as long as I let him.  I have not installed applications 3rd party or themes or done something to change my BB anytime in the last month.

I did a battery pull to try and reseit again and the same problem persisted.  I let the battery sit for 15 minutes and put back in, same problem.  I let the battery sit for an hour, same thing.

The strange thing is, if I hold the power button to turn off the phone, the phone starts to blink on the home screen, validate my security software and then turn off.  So if I turn on it back, the phone will be on but lack icons and applications.  Particularly missing my box icon (a quite important for me) mailbox and BBM entirely.  I made sure that they are not hidden or in folders and they are not found.  I'm not able to pull up from my address book simply by typing the name of a contact from the home screen if I want to make a phone call.  Instead, I have to press the call button, and then type the number in.

When I got home last night, I removed the battery and plugged the Blackberry to my computer with the battery pulled and waited until the battery icon happen on the screen.  Then I put the battery and tried to update all the software on the device, but the Office Director said that all software is up-to-date.  Then I used the executable Loader which forced the phone through a series of resets and the phone came back with all the icons and functionality (except still not BBM).  I tried to download BBM through Blackberry World and it wouldn't let me download My World or any other list that she appeared in.  It wouldn't even appear when I clicked on it to open it in the lists (other applications would be open and I'd like to upload them to the app store).  So after being asked by the phone several times more that I had to reset, I reluctantly did and now the phone is in the same State in all day yesterday where I hold the power button while it is frozen reset status so that he can turn it on.  Still missing functionality and icons that I mentioned earlier.  I also removed a lot of apps of the day after just in case where the phone memory and on the left that it plugged in all night to the computer has been insufficient.

    Need help, please please help.

    1. do you have a recent backup of your device? If this isn't the case, get fed up as much as possible you could do before and Director of office to perform a backup.

    2. now disconnect the USB and close the Desktop Manager.

    3 reload/upgrade the operating system:

See the link below for download and simple installation instructions.

It's the latest official OS released for the 8900 device:

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."

    5. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Update: it was not after all water damage.  The day I splashed it I also sink it terribly low on battery.  Here's how I diagnosed and brought it back:

1 held the power and volume for 16 seconds until what the phone into bootloader mode.  Choose the first option to continue the initialization of the phone.

2 opportunity expert virtual Blackberry to test all functions of the phone.  Everything worked.

    3. went to settings-> battery.  0% battery does not charge.

    4 powered off phone

    5. "battery charged" the phone:

    1. connect to the most powerful USB charger that you have (for me, 3 amps)

    2. as soon as the battery with white exclamation point icon appears, unplug the phone

3 phone plug back in.  When the battery icon appears unplug.  Repeat 20 - 30 times

    6. Finally, the phone will start just showing the Red instead of the battery icon.  At this point, that the costs of phone for at least an hour.  The status indicator turns yellow

7 turn on the phone and load completely

I learned about the "battery charge" of the old Playbooks Blackberry.  Apparently, the voltage of the battery may get so low that the BIOS of the phone which will detect and not to load.  But during the 10 seconds or so to detect, the battery will be a slight amount of charge.  If you keep pushing a little fresh this way over and over, finally he could get enough power to be larger than the minimum voltage and start loading.

Good luck to everyone who has this problem.

Does anyone know a provider for private blackberry battery? My phone got damaged (by a very small amount of water, not overwhelmed), water and is now show white battery icon with exclamation point and do not start.  I would try replacing the battery to see if it is the problem or if the load circuit. (Yes, I know that this isn't * technique * replaceable by the user, but I have the backcover and can do).  BlackBerry support said they don't sell them and wants to $275 + to fix the device, which is almost the cost of a new private on Ebay. Someone know a provider or have a spare battery that I can buy?

    Thank you

Edition of the above to reflect the real problem.  The battery is just incredibly low.  Come to think of it, I'd run it for about 2 days and what I thought was caused water damage was just a super low battery. I "battery charge" it.  My discription full of how I did which is updated above in the first post.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry ID reset password

I can't go to my ID from BB and don 't understand how to reset my password. It says enter associated E-mail account, but it does not come to BB Phone. What Miss me? Thanks for any help. GLC

Hmmm... you have tried again and again. Well, there are two ways of resolution in this KB. First explicitly says method that the reset email WILL NOT come for BB... you must check your email account for that e-mail through other means. The second method involves the use of the original welcome e-mail to reset BB ID. So, with your brief description, I have no idea what you have actually tried and what has happened in your case. Maybe you could elaborate? These processes have worked for many others. I'd be surprised if they do not work for you.

Your other means, of course, is to seek formal support from your wireless service provider that can degenerate into RIM if necessary.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry battery Reset?

Hi, this is my firt time asking for help.

Say that I was on the app Twitter or Facebook, looking at someones photo or status. If I took the battery out of the back and restarted the phone, just take me to the News feed.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

If you remove the battery, cause you the device down (close without warning). Even if it sounds bad, it's actually a very healthy thing for BBs... It's the best way to heal the slowness and other strange behaviors. Just like rebooting a computer.

But, to the extent where what is happening when you restart... it doesn't know anything about what you were doing when you crashed it. So he's not going back to anywhere where you were before. On the contrary, it will be like a fresh reboot... and you will need to launch applications and do all what you want to do. For example, when you launch or the other of these applications, it brings you to the default screen of apps and show you whatever the latest information so that the screen is (or any default behavior for the application)... no knowledge of what you were doing before.

In some cases, if you use an application that can do this (I think Twitter and TweetMarker... but I do know that if any application Twitter for BB can use it), it can "remember" your place in your timeline and get back to where you left off rather than at the top of your Twitter account. But it's totally dependent, app and if you use T4BB, certainly not here.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones don't active Internet e-mail account since I hard reset my torch 9800

HI, I made a hard reset recently because I wanted to delete my e-mail of the company. Since that time, I can't active internet E-mail like Hotmail on my torch 9800. I can activate my old email in the "Account Activation Email" menu, but when I try to verify my password I got an error "sorry, impossible to continue your session. Please log in again,' is anyone know what I can do to activate my old email or a new one?

In your phone's browser, select http://mobile.blackberry.com .  Scroll to the bottom for Communications and electronic mail.  You can activate your email account for your phone from there.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I perfom a 'hard reset' on the 4.3 version < OS from my BlackBerry?

    Hello world

I recently encountered a problem on the 8800 and 8300 models, but more generally on all models, this version of the OS is older than the 4.3. Indeed, I noticed that the Wipe of the device functionality is not efficient enough to have your device in a clean state. For example, I have this app that I can't get rid of even after that I did a wipe on my device.

There is also the /resettofactory command, but as explained in this article (http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/documentLink.do?externalID=KB17215), it does not work on peripheral models this version of the OS is less than 4.3. So my question is:

How to perform a hard reset on the device that the version of the OS is less than 4.3?

    Thanks in advance.

Well well... your original post not mentioned that you had used the WIPE command in JLCmder, you did mention the Resettofactory command. They are not the same.

I used successfully both JLCmder and JavaLoader wipe devices both less and more than 4.3. I don't know why it does not work for you.

So... you're saying that even if you clean the machine using JLCmder or JavaLoader, this a rest app?

  • Smartphones from blackBerry 8350i eception exception java.lang.NullPointerException after hard reset

    basic information:

    8350i

    v4.6.1.204 (Platform 3.0.0.73)

    Desktop Manager 4.7

everything is good except that I was using two batteries, one in the phone and the other in a charger. When the battery is almost empty I swap with one charge naturally causing a hard reset.

This procedure worked well for at least a week or two, until last month when I swapped batteries - after the hard reset, I had

    Eception exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

I could make calls, but all other software were corrupted... practically nothing else worked... missing icons etc.

tried all kinds of solutions, but the only thing that fixed it was a full-on device software erase/recharging, then a restore of data since the previous backup. at the time, I thought it was just something random and was happy to learn how to do a full charge of the software.

then yesterday it happened again (even once, at the end of the security check immediately after the hard reset). now I'm afraid to swap batteries because it seems that every time I have hard reset it recharge a 10% chance (I guess) of corruption of software and a complete takes considerable time.

If anyone else has noticed this? does anyone have a solution?

can I change batteries without a hard reset; i.e. Exchange while that connected to the power supply? I have not tried this yet for fear of harming my BB.

    any help is appreciated,

    John d.

15 seconds is too short period of time.

It took at least a minute before returning the battery.

Error you reported is related to badly written in device memory operating data.

In most cases, helps to battery pull. But you must wait at least one minute before you put the battery on the device.

When you do battery pull make sure that this device is not connected to any external device or the wall charger.

In the event of battery pull does not help, I recommend to consider wiping the device memory.

  • BlackBerry smartphones another way to hard reset outside to remove the battery?

I sometimes have problems with my application memory leak, where he began the day around 29 Mb and slowly, for the rest of the day, sneaks down to about 5 MB. I'm still trying to identify what app is the cause. In the meantime, I have the work around by doing a hard reset by removing the battery for about 30 seconds.

QUESTION: is there another way (hold simultaneously several keys, etc.) to do the hard reset by removing the battery?

    Thank you!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Priv bricks during update MM

    Hello everyone,

As a user of BB for a long time (since the curve 8310 until the Passport), I couldn't resist the temptation and I ended up buying a private AT & T unlocked the B & H store in Manhattan during my vacation.

As soon as I come home in Spain, I started the MM updated procedure with an autoloader, according to the following instructions: http://global.blackberry.com/en/support/smartphones/blackberry-PRIV/reload.html

I downloaded the SW AAF355 version and drivers USB (computer restarts after the installation).

Installation script has detected the Priv in fastboot mode after lowering the volume + key combination of power and apparently started the update, but suddenly the phone restarted with black screen and led flashes between purple and green.

Quick notes: I've updated devices BB10 via autoloader a couple of times and I did the update did not complete successfully using Mac OS (latest version), but I tried tha same procedure from a W7 PC too.

Now, I'm still stuck with black screen and led flashing and computer does not detect the phone more. I tried all combinations of possible keys try to restart the phone but no luck.

So I ask help to members of the community on what can I do to get it fixed, cause I think that the problem of Mayor is I'm in Spain...

    Thanks in advance.

OK, it seems that I finally I could remedy then I'll write the steps that I followed, just in case.

In my case, I was not able to start the phone in following mode fastboot with all combinations of keys, and the computer it has not detected:

    -Low volume + button.

    -High volume + button.

-All buttons pressed at the same time.

But after some trial and error, I pressed the middle (the toddler between flight up and down) button + power button and the phone started in mode 'starting'

The computer detects it and loaded MM autoloader (first attempt get stuck again, but a 2nd went until the end). After that the phone boot up normally.

Thanks to all the members of the BB community and have a nice day!

  • BlackBerry smartphone Message new reset icon - stuck on 6 messages

I've lived all my boxes in and used short cut 'u' to search for unread messages.  There are not.  My new alert message icon on the main screen just left of time will not return to zero.  It will go no lower than 6.  However, when new messages arrive the counter increases by 6 to reflect new messages.  When I check all the new messages icon again message will go as low as 6 unread messages.   Any thoughts on how to correct?  Thank you!!

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.

If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

    Try these options:
    * Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
    Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
    * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    * Clean and reload your OS.
