  I just bought a manual that comes with a CD containing Multisim 10.1.1. When I try to run, it says "fatal error. Cannot find initialization file. "I am running Windows 7-64 bit. I'm sure this is the problem because it does not specify that it is compatible.

  Multisim 10.1.1 is not officially supported on Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), however, some customers have been able to install it without any problem. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Make sure that you have an administrator account on your computer.
  • Disable any antivirus and antispyware software.
  • Copy the contents of the CD onto your computer and run the installer from there.
  • You install the software on a computer that is configured for Asian characters?

  Furthermore, is it a trial edition? Alternatively, have you received a serial number to activate Multisim 10.1.1? If it comes to the assessment, it would be preferable to download and install the latest version 11.0.1. Click here to download this version.

  What version of Windows are you using?

  One of the files needed for the game of initialization is missing.  You may need to uninstall the game and make sure your operating system is updated with the most recent framework.

  When you perform a simulation in Labview (using a model of Multisim) in the Loop Simulation & control, sometimes a small window pops up with the error: Multisim is closing due to the error... (or something like that, I don't use multisim in English) even if I did not open at all Multisim. I think that it opens in the background and it closes because of an error.

  I think I already know what the problem was. I was providing some input values in my file of Multisim simulation. These values were floating point numbers, and sometimes with a micro digits after the comma. It seems that Multisim couldn't handle it. After cutting all the numbers they came after the comma, leaving only 2 or 3, the error seemed no more.

  I hope I could help, if everyone will head the same error, try to think of cutting the floating numbers to real numbers.

• DNS error on wifi. No problem on ethernet

  Hello everyone

  I have a weird problem with my internet. WiFi works fine on my tablet, phone etc. But not with my pc. I get the dns probe error when I try to connect to my pc via wifi.however when I use the ethernet cable it works very well. I tried RAS dns as well as the evolution of my dns address for open dns. I am on Windows 7 and using a pc, I built myself. My wireless card is one that comes with the Asus rampage extreme 5. I also note that wireless worked well before, but it only started happening since this morning.

  Here is what happened. I restarted the pc with the cable is connected and windows downloaded 10 upgrade because I read on another forum Windows 10 Fixed a similar problem. Before I went ahead with the installation I disconnected ethernet to try your solution. And wifi works now. Updated willl if this happens again.

  I've not heard of this error before (and we have installed on a number of Windows 7 machines).

  Usually, when there is a runtime error, there is also an error code. Could you give me this error code. Also, when this error happen? You are uncompressing the installer, installer boot, while the 'parties' are being installed?

  Finally, if you downloaded the installer, have you tried redownloading?

• Multisim database error

  I have a problem running Multisim Power Pro version 10.1 (10.1.357). I get the error 'Could not open database.' created with a previous version of your application After clicking on OK, I get a different error message: "access to the database error. Data are not available". The same error message "cannot access the database" appears for databases of the company and the user as well. Once the completed application loading, I can't place the components because of the issue of the database.

  In the top menu bar, if I go to tools->-> Database Manager database, the application crashes and I have to use Windows Task Manager to close. The event log shows that 'database.dll' is the reason why the multisim.exe watered.

  I am running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 (32-bit) with full administrator rights. I never installed earlier versions of Multisim on this particular computer before. The strange thing is that the program actually worked the first time I installed it, but I started getting errors after windows update ran. Windows Update shows that only my office 2007 applications have been updated.

  I deleted all the files of database 3 and performed a repair of the application using the installation disc, but that has not solved the problem. I also uninstalled multisim and deleted the folder of the ProgramData directory database but it does not work as well

  Furthermore, I am under Labview 8.5 on this same computer and have no problem with him whatsoever.

  After sleepless nights and countless debugging I finally solved my problem with Multisim.

  It turned out that the problem lied in the windows registry. Some of the parameters of register in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\] and [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\ISAM Formats] reduced to nothingness.

  The values of Excel, Exchange, jet 2.x jet 3.x, Lotus, Paradox, Test and xBase ISAM Formats were all empty. Fortunately, I have an another Vista PC which I was able to export the missing values to restore the PC problem. Multisim is now underway!

  BTW, one of the jet 3.x registry values contain 'Win32"="C:\Windows\system32\msrd3x40.dll' which was the main reason why Multisim broke. Multisim could not determine msrd3x40.dll is located in the System32 folder after removing the request of UltraLibrian.

  Hi, Ive made the VA appspeed 1.2 without any problem but when I goto deploy probes, it fails during the copy operation that uses the file appspeed - flat hard, located in the folder appspeed WILL.

  Ive configure the appspeed WILL and used the role of the administrator and the administrator added to appspeed user's role.

• Probe Setup error

  Successfully, I installed Appspeed 1.2 device and configured without any problem.  When I try to install a probe he gets around 95% and fails with "Communication problem between the probe a server."
