Problem adding MTS files in sequence in first 2015 (video)

Hello. All of a sudden (I think after update to the 2015 version) I can't import mts files I can announce a new or existing sequence.

Once import the clip in the tray, it has ONLY the sound icon.

1. the clip will be visually rub in the tray.

2. the clip will play well in the window source (audio and video)

3. I CAN'T HANG OUT IN ANY EXISTING SEQUENCE VIDEO TRACK

a. that the AUDIO will be can be placed in an audio track

b. video does not load in any video track

c. I can "create a sequence of the clip", but even after you did; I'm still not able to place this item in an existing sequence.

These are the same clips that I used throughout. Same source, the same format. (and the same file)

I tried to reinstall the 2014 version, which gave the same result. together with a newly created file (with the newly installed 2014) and the oldest existing files

I tried the same test of importation on my laptop (which is also updated to 2015) and it is very good!

1 (though once a clip imported; it has only the audio icon until I have add to a sequence.) ( Then he adds the video icon to the element in the tray)

FRUSTRATING!

I'm MAC OS 10.10.5.

Hello

Make sure you have enabled video track. Click to make blue, this is probably the issue. I have scratched my head on that after installing a new version too.

  • Problems of sudden MTS files

I've been editing MTS (AVCHD) to a Panasonic GH2 files (some hacked some stock firmware) for over 2 years with little or no problems. In this case, I use the CS5.5 Master Collection, Premiere Pro on an old laptop Sager of 3 year (64-bit, i-7-720qm, 8 GB RAM, 2 internal hard drives, nVidia GeForce GTX 285 M). I don't know if I'm having problems hardware or a corrupted file, but something is wrong.

I am now in the middle of a project and all of a sudden my computer is VERY slow and it takes minutes before you update things (like scrolling in my calendar to a different image) and sometimes it just freezes all together. There is also a problem (could be related) with the second series of spanned clips (detailed below) in this project.

The timeline of DV 24 p screen wide since he will be DVD and also uses images from a DVX100b for Cup plans. The GH2 images were shot with stock firmware 1.1 after 24 hours, all shot on one day and the first of the record was just a bit of time, and then about 20 minutes, then another for about an hour. This product 3 mts files for the first section, 1 solo for the short section and 4 files for the last section of long.  I copied the entire map in my D drive without alteration of the structure of folders like a good boy. I brought in the clips in the project window and had no problem with the edition of the first section of the time. I will say that I did not use the media browser as I recently learned, is the best way to import these clips. For the past 2 years, I slipped and dropped using the windows Explorer window, and have had no problems so far. I've dealt with split clips, a hat clip required more than a dozen of video tracks and much higher data rates, so I'm not sure what the trigger is to these questions. What's weird about the second longer clip, is that when the first clip is slipped into the scenario (00004), it only brings this clip, not the others who should there be attached. The first section has worked, but not this one. And all the files that follow this clip are numbered differently, but seem identical to (00004) when you drag in the timeline. They all have a normal appearance in Explorer (small clips that must be covered together) so the images are tactful, but not in PP.

I experimented a bit copied clip 0005 in its own folder, he dragged and it displayed correctly (not a copy of 00004). The slowness problem is still there, so I'm not prepared to just grin and bear it with this workaround. I've also experimented by creating a new project, the original footage of the copy of my disk archive (never imported into a timeline so not the xmp files) in a new folder and the media used to bring in the image browser. He has not to show excerpts 00005 and more from the media browser is only meant to show the first split clips, but it was still only 24 minutes long and of course not to mention the rest of the clips. Media browser recognizes these clips are meant to be together, but PP is to see them all as copies of 00005.

I would appreciate greatly all opinions but keep in mind that I used this same workflow on this same system for more than 2 years. The only variable, it's that these split clips may be a little more time that I have used in the past, but not a lot. I don't really know if there is a piece of defective material, if the clip is somehow corrupted or if I'm missing something obvious.

What coulod cause this change in performance? Would be editing with proxy support? Can I convert this evil clip to a different format? I also ask a lot of my system? Are there ways to check if my computer is working properly?

Thanks in advance for any idea and for reading this rather long explanation.

    Cole

I wanted to give a quick update on this problem of MTS file. I was able to get my system to normal by isolating the bad files in their own files out of the folder "Private" (files of the actual source, not in the project of creation). I copied the first clip of the group in a file by itself and the 3 last clips in another folder. I deleted the first original and imported (drag / drop from windows, do not use the media browser) the files isolated, and they worked very well. Of course, they were now 4 independent files I had to place side by side in the timeline but they have lined up and there is more no lag in the system and there is no more duplicate files.

Far from the classic but he me again to change and I didn't have to buy a new computer to be back in business. I can only imagine that something glitched when he was consistent and it does not recognize the split clips.

A thank you special Eric to ADK to offer some suggestions that, fortunately, I didn't have to try.

  • The MTS files seem to ignore executives during transitions of clip?

My Canon Vixia HF S200 creates several sequentially numberd MTS files long sequences.

Their slamming together in first Pro CS5 gives a "jump" between the clips, as if the images were missing.

Now, on another forum sombody insisted that there is no frames missing in the MTS files and re-multiplexing them would prove it.  So I download 'tsMuxer' a free muxer and combined a few in a single m2ts file and in fact the 'leap' gone to the point where the previous 2 would have joined!

Then...  Any ideas?  Some settings?  Frame rate?

    Thank you

    Dave

Copy the whole folder in upper level of the camera on your hard drive, not just the .mts files.  Then use Premiere Pro media browser feature to import clips.  Doing it this way should solve the problem.

  • Audio does not add a sequence (mts files)

Very recently, I have a problem where if I drag a video clip (with audio) to the timeline, the video is added; the audio is not.  And it won't let me drag the audio from the source monitor timeline; I get the small ICON of "stop".

I will use the AVCHD (MTS) and the current version of CC PP running on a PC.  CPU i7 with 12G of RAM.  This has just begun.  I suspect that I did something for myself, but I've never had a problem to solve.

    Here's what I do.

I have several clips of MTS files as assets.

I drag a clip to the empty timeline and PP creates the sequence.  The video and audio is added.

I drag another asset (file MTS) for the same timeline and the video is added, but not the audio.

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

  • First 2015.3, showing only solid red color for previews random clip in sequence and monitor - media waiting for forever - program problem persists after complete format of the system

    Hey all,.

I was directed here after posting on Reddit help, to make sure someone sees what I believe to be a bug particularly nasty in first 2015.3.  Basically, one of my two computers edition is totally incapable of managing projects in 2015.3.  I'll copy / paste from my previous post for ease, but I'll answer as many questions as I can:

First refuses to properly view my media. Excerpts are appearing in the source monitor, sequence, the program monitor and my bins, as nothing more than solid, white red blends. This problem did not appear on my school laptop, also running 2015.3. On this point, I was able to edit the project successfully to the end with any of these issues.

To resolve this problem, I tried hosting files on a local hard drive. I tried their hosting on our network drives (which is where they were welcomed when the laptop which still once, handled very well). I cleared my cache of media within the first. I cleared my cache manually in Windows. I have disabled hardware acceleration. I deleted from my hard drive and reinstalled Windows, and again, my main computer is borked on this project, while the laptop, running the same exact files to the exact location of same network with the same exact version of the first, is very well.  I even recovered files to my SD cards and moved in a drive completely different, to see if the problem persists, and he did.

The problem seems to occur at various clips, randomly, at each reboot first.  But again, everything on my computer secondary edition, also running 2015.3, using the same files, hosted on the same network drive, works very well.  After Effects can handle the files.  Adobe Media Encoder transcode the files fine, although this isn't a regular part of my job.  The files of play very well under Windows.

More interesting still, I returned to my most recent project in 2015.2 on my computer concerned and opened in 2015.3.  Many media files knew forever, redded out, pending question, even if the project is completed successfully on this computer without incident a week, running 2015.2.

I guess for now, I have to go back to 2015.2 on all my workstations, but I wanted to have this problem, because I am confident enough at this stage, I'm dealing with a bug.

  • First Pro CC and the lack of audio tracks for .mts files

    Hello guys,.

I used to edit my files .mts with first Pro CC with no problems until yesterday.

Now I import my file .mts (made with a Sony VG900), but the first does not recognize the audio tracks (which I hear fine with VLC).

I tried changing the extension in .m2ts, but he did not, I also tried to reinstall the first but, even once, it didn't work and I tried (I was desperate) to install the CS6 first just to check if the problem is maybe about the CC version. Guess what? It did not work...

I tried also to convert the file with the encoder in .mp4, but after the conversion, I can't hear the sound with VLC and, of course, this does not work on the first.

Don't you think it's a first question or a problem of file?

I used these same files for other videos (as a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1X5vsZ-5yI) and I had no problem. Then I updated the first, I moved the files in the other folder, and the problem came to life.

    Any idea?

(I'm waiting for my colleague to send me a new mts file just to check if I accidentally damaged the 'old').

You don't have to convert. 5.5 works natively with the mts files.

If you machine can not handle mts, there is no interest to convert it to mp4 wont even go faster.

  • First time. Great, but other times without sounds of the MTS files?

  • Capture. MTS files in first

With final cut PRO 7, I could go into file > ingest between log and transfer and the software my. MTS clips in my project and store them on my drive to work. I tried the equivalent of Adobe Premiere, which I believe is file > Capture, but I can't seem to make it work. First won't swallow. This way MTS files? I know that I can copy the AVCHD folder on my computer and import the files (file > import), but it creates a new stage. It seemed easier with FCP 7 that I could get the files in my project and store them on my machine at the same time.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

The Caption function is used to record the video stream that coming from a band camera, using reading via a connection that is not very common these days.  It was a part of the workflow on tape.  Most of the industry is passed to a tapeless workflow, using structures like AVCHD files instead.  Capture would take much longer time than the copy that you would have to review the tape to get the real movie off the unit.

When it comes to move files on a media card, the term is Ingest.  We have an ingest tool, prelude, which can copy the files from the card and get them ready for use in first, but it is not necessary.  Just copy the complete directory of the card on the disc structure is very good.

For FCP7, what actually the program copied files on the hard disk, and then transcode them in a format that the FCP could easily work with.  We do not require that.  So, we actually register a step allowing you to copy these files and start editing.

It is technically possible to simply edit the files directly on the map, but it is discouraged.  Copy your files first.

  • MTS files import does not in first CC 2014

I just installed new updates and tried to start a new project in first CC 2014 and import MTS files. I get an error message saying "the file has a compression type not supported."

I have worked with MTS files in first for awhile now, but I'm stuck which dates back to the old CC Premiere because it's the only way I can import these files. I found one of the great new things in 2014 CC BEST support for MTS and other formats.

Help, please! I'm really excited about all the new features in this update and want to be able to use them for work, but right now I'm super disappointed.

    Thank you

    Jase

I've seen a lot of reports like this, then something goes well.

Try to rename or move the folder with the media.  Then , open the project in 2014 CC.  It will ask you where is the press, that it points to the file renamed or moved.
