  • Problem CS3 make believe

    We have been struggling with a strange problem here at my work for several weeks now and can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

    About 6 weeks ago After Effects CS3 (on our Mac) all of a sudden stopped rendering opinion correctly. He will actually make the file and it takes about as long as expected (the file size will be about the size expected as well), but when you try to play the AVI rendering, he plays about 6 seconds (that should be a 1 or 2 minute AVI) and that's it! The scrubber will travel all the way to the end of the timeline on the player, as if the file is only 6 seconds of time even if the file size is appropriate for a much larger file.

    Here IT guys have reset defaults on after effects, re-installed After Effects, permissions repaired on the Mac, re-installed on Mac OS X and the last thing they tried was re - install quicktime (because AE uses Quicktime for so many tasks rendering engine). Strangely enough, re - install Quicktime solved the problem for about 3 makes.

    The Mac is our primary visit station here and we had to resort to make Targa sequences, transfer them to a PC and making it in AVI format from there. The additional steps are really starting to be a bottleneck in our pipeline, so if anyone can offer any help with this, I would really appreciate it!

    Return it is currently exported to an uncompressed AVI file (since you cannot render in AVI format of the queue of rendering on a Mac) in After Effects CS3.

    Are the specifications on our Mac: Power Mac OS x 10.4.11 (Tiger), dual processors Intel Xeon 3 GHz and 4 GB of RAM.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Text find and change the problem CS3 and CS4 scripts

    I use the script below to find text and turn them into others.

    There is one thing the script can't do it for me.

    Example:

    (g) management

    (1) that no law that is adopted in the Cayman Islands, a tax to collect profits, income, gains or satisfaction does apply to the company or its activities; and

    (2) that the above-mentioned tax or any tax in the form of rights of succession or inheritance tax is payable in respect of shares, debentures or other obligations of the company.

    Example: (end)

    I had a lot of subjects or points in the passage. And I want to change the space between '(g)' and 'Management' in a tab character. So I revised the plain text file 1texte.

    PS: 1text.txt is filled with what to change.

    text {findWhat: "^ p(^?)" ' "} {changeTo: "^ p(^?)"} ^ t "} {includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, includeFootnotes:true, wholeWord:false} search all space-dash-space and replace it with an en dash."

    The result is:

    (^?) ^ tManagement

    (^?) ^ tthat any law that is passed in the Cayman Islands, imposing a tax on profits, income, not capital gains or satisfaction applies to the company or its activities. and

    (^?) ^ tthat the above-mentioned tax or any tax in the form of rights of succession or inheritance tax is payable in respect of shares, debentures or other obligations of the company.

    PS: ^ t is a tab character.

    result (END)

    This is not what I want.

    It should be"(g) ^ tManagement'.

    PS: ^ t is a tab character.

    Please someboady help me out revised the script below to change the text in what I want. Thank you very much.

    Here's the script.

    An InDesign CS4 JavaScript
    /*
    @@BUILDINFO @ "FindChangeByList.jsx" 2.0.0.0 January 10, 2008
    */
    Loads a series of strings delimited by tab characters from a text file, and then executes a series
    Find/replace operations based on the lines read from the file.
    //
    The data file is delimited by tabs, returns to cart that separates records.
    //
    The format of each record in the file is:
    findType < tab > findProperties < tab > changeProperties < tab > findChangeOptions < tab > description
    //
    Where:
    < tab > is a tab character
    findType is 'text', 'grep' or 'glyph' (this sets the find/replace operation type to use).
    findProperties is a recording of properties (text) search preferences.
    changeProperties is a recording of properties (text) of the change preferences.
    findChangeOptions is a recording of properties (text) of the options find/replace.
    Description is a description of the search/replace operation

    Very simple example:
    text {findWhat: "-"} {changeTo: "^ _"} {includeMasterPages:true, includeHiddenLayers:true, includeFootnotes:true, wholeWord:false} find all double hyphens and replace by an em dash.
    //
    More complex example:
    text {findWhat: ' ^ 9 ^ 9.} {' ^ 9 ^ 9 '} {appliedCharacterStyle: 'price'} {include notes: true, include master pages: true include hidden layers: true, any word: false} find $ 10.00 to $ 99.99 and apply the character style 'price '.

    I'm not a writer, but I'll take a stab and try to make a difference here.

    The main problem, in my opinion, is that you use a plain text instead of GREP search. Text gross has no provision to replace the text found by itself, for example, rather than using the codes you entered a literal string. Your search text of ' ^ p(^?) ' means find any character in brackets that occurs after a paragraph break. I would use in GREP ^ \s+ (\(.+?\)) which translates to find an opening parenthesis at the beginning of a paragraph (so he'll find if it happens to be the first character in th in a story) followed by a number any characters up to the first parenthesis (in the case where you have double the figures or double entries letter) followed by ANY white space (in the case where it is not an ordinary space or multiple spaces). Replace $1\t which means the text found in the first set of parentheses in query search followed by a tab.

    Parentheses are special in GREP, they surround groups of terms you want to re-use the text found, so looking for the actual characters you need to 'escape' with the-prefix, so \(.+\) will find a paren open followed by all the characters up to the end last paren in the paragraph. Addition of the? After the + makes research stop at the first closing paren met, although there are several sets in the paragraph.

    I am using Flash CS3, and although I am totally new to Flash, I used Adobe for years. That said, Flash is like rocket science, however I have the following problem:

    CS3 Video Encoder to create a file .flv from a file .avi or .mpg, that apparently encodes and saves the file. When I try to read the file, or work with it in Flash CS3 Pro, I get a blank white screen. In Flash Player, the choices in the control menu show 'play' ticked, but that and all the other choices are grey.

    The files show that they have content (or at least are about 1 MB in size), but don't play don't not anything other than a white screen.

    I'm sure I'm wrong, but am discussed if I can see what it is. Looked at the tutorials, and I certainly have coded them the recommended way (not all that hard to add a file and start the queue). The .avi files have content that I can read on Nero and they are fine.

    Any suggestions?

    Do you plan that has never flown fighters... I remember that my IP in the undergraduate training pilot was a poster that said, "if they can teach a monkey to fly a rocket, I can teach you to fly this plane." Is not rocket science, not even close.

    That said, the problem is the file .avi I used was not quite in height, slightly corrupt. I found that mpg files seem to work better than avi, or so it seems. In any case, I got what I wanted, which is to put a video of my daughter on my web site for my family.

    Thanks for the interest.

  • I'm having a problem when I upgraded to Windows 7 with my programs Adobe CS3 showing Type1 fonts. I have .pfb files both .pfm in Windows fonts folder. Works with MS Word and Notepad.

    Type1fonts will not be displayed in Adovè CS3 programs.

    * Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign are the main programs I have problems with.
    * Just upgraded to Windows 7
    * Having .pfm file types as required for Type1 fonts .pfb
    * The fonts work in Notepad, MS Word and Aim messenger
    * Fonts common requested; Helvetica and universe

  • Problems installing CS3 on Windows 10

    I got CS3 installed on my PC and decided to upgrade to Windows 10. The update went without problems and my Creative Suite CS worked perfectly for several months until the other day, when I have received a message on my driver's license does not. I tried several solutions suggested for me nothing works and finally decided to uninstall applications and reinstall them. The relocation went well until the end, when the installer said that "some problems" had been raised during the installation. Problems can be summed up that none of the applications had to be installed. I tried again half a dozen to reinstall without success. There was an indication of the problems during the process, nor any explanation of why it was not possible to install. What could be the reason?

    The only other suggestion is to run the CC cleanup tool after uninstalling. This cleans the registry and nothing behind.

    Choose your application named in the list in the CC cleaning tool. Then re-boot your computer and try a new installation.

    Use the cleaning of creative cloud tool to resolve installation problems

  • Photoshop CS3 "Unexpected and unrecoverable problem... access privileges.

    Everything worked fine in CS3, and then all of a sudden I got this message from Photoshop: "an unexpected and unrecoverable problem has occurred because you don't have the necessary access privileges. Photoshop will now stop. "All my other CS3 apps (InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro are very good.)

    Then... I turned off CS3, uninstalled everything with the software install and then hand has removed all files remaining from Adobe in the system and reinstalled. She accepted my serial number and all activated. Had the same message for Photoshop, but other applications are still working fine.

    It's all the same serial number, all came in the same CS 3 package. HELP PLEASE! Thank you!

  • Problem upgrade version Adobe Photoshop CS3, to Photoshop CS4.

    Hi, hope someone can help, Adobe does not support older versions of Photoshop apparently...

    I had Adobe PS CS3 installed on my laptop wife.  But his HARD disk was giving problems, so I've migrated the o/s to a new hard drive to SSD.

    Now, I install the software back, I have successfully installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 and recorded it, I then tried to install the upgrade for CS3 DVD:

    Photoshop CS4, but it fails to insert the code. The code for the CS4 update is accepted OK but when it asks for the serial number for Photoshop CS3 already installed and registered, he said that this serial number is not recognized. I can't seem to work around this problem, and it is very annoying. I have received for the two versions and they were bought from reputable companys Unfortunately it was a few years ago, so probably no help now.

    The last time that happened a few years back, I contacted Adobe who talked through the process that required a different number series and another method

    I can not remember now.  I got this DVD upgrade for awhile and it's a shame if we are unable to make use.

    I use Adobe CC on my desktop doesn't have is no need for that. But my wife likes the older versions of Photoshop.

    appreciate if someone knows how to work around this problem, currently installed upgrading to CS4 trial version to get past the nag screen.

  • Hi I have a problem with my Photoshop CS3.

    Hi I have a problem with my Photoshop CS3. I have the upgrade in my possession... but somehow, while moving my house, I lost my CS2 version. Therefore, I can't find the serial number for the CS3 upgrade, if I don't have the serial number for CS3.

    Can someone help me find a way to find my serial number for my old version?

    I can't afford to buy another Photoshop application, and phone or chat in support of this product.

    Hoping that someone out there in the "forum-sphere" gets my email and can help me.

    Thank you very much.
