  I have a random problem, downloading files on different web sites. I click on the file to download and retrieve the backup file with the file name box instead, I get something like "attachment.php". He always seems to be php files.

  By clicking on the file many times to download later, it will download, but it is very frustrating.

  I went through all the guides and troubleshooting suggestions. Nothing makes no difference. I disable add-ins, antivirus etc. nothing works.

  You can have security software as a software firewall or antivirus which is at the origin of the problems if safe mode did not help.

  Secondly, I have a Linux and Windows XP partitioned on my computer. Does this mean that I have to reformat the computer and rebuild the Dual space partitioned before using this product?

  I think that this was lost in translation, but I'll help where I can!

  VMware workstation can be downloaded here: http://www.vmware.com/download/ws/ : you need to register an account with VMware.  You can download VMware workstation for Windows or Linux clients (depending on version).  Please report errors that you see and describe any problems yet.  Alternatively you could watch VM player if you are simply wanting to work with the devices and virtual machines pre-created.

  You will be fighting run (m) virtual machines with only 384 MB of physical RAM.  You may be able to run virtual machines virtual legacy windows or appliances, but not much else.

  No, you will need to repartition your machine to run VM Workstation as long as you have enough disk space available for each partition for installation and the virtual machines that you want to create.

  To run the Apple OSX VM workstation you will need a licensed copy of Mac OS x.  You also will be able to run OSX with these hardware specifications.

  Finally, you don't HAVE to install the antivirus or any other software in your guest VM, but it is advisable to do so.  Attach your guest OSes as you wouldif they were physical.
